After concluding their visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Group 4 delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, en route to Sierra Leone, stopped over in Lome, Togo. During the transit, they held discussions on Pakistan-based terrorism and Operation Sindoor at the airport lounge.
BJP's Rajya Sabha MP and senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra told news agency ANI that the delegation underscored India's need for Operation Sindoor and recounted the conversations they had about Pakistan during their visit.
"We are telling them why we had to conduct Operation Sindoor and about Pakistan's terrorism. But it is a good experience to know about the people of Africa, their culture, and language. They are good people and this is a really good experience. The conversations we had with their diplomats, heads of states, and ministers regarding Pakistan, they heard us with concentration. They had come prepared on the subject matter. They were curious to know why our relations with Pakistan are deteriorating, they knew that Pakistan is a terrorist country but when we made things clear, they heard us well. Their response was good, that they would raise this issue in the UNSC and the African Union. We felt that they would raise this issue in their National Assembly and bring a resolution."

Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said on 1 June that while India is pursuing global free trade agreements, Pakistan, on the other hand, was promoting 'free terrorist agreeement' by hosting top 20 global terrorists. Karnataka BJP leader booked for video calling for Muslims' extermination
A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Karnataka has been booked for controversial remarks he made about the Muslim community in a video posted on a social media platform, police said on Sunday. In the video shared on Rathod's Facebook account on Saturday, the BJP leader is purportedly heard making inflammatory remarks in the Lambani language, calling for the extermination of the Muslim community and urging the killing of those accused of 'love jihad' within eight days. HT has verified the authenticity of the video. The term 'love jihad' is used by Hindu right-wing outfits and are not recognised by the government or courts, with the terms often seen as 'anti-Muslim' rhetoric. A complaint over the video was filed by one Syed Aleem Ilahi at the Kalaburage Central police station on Saturday. Based on the complaint, a first information report was registered under 196 (promoting enmity between different groups), 197 (imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration), 299 (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class), 351(criminal intimidation) and other relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Confirming the development Kalaburagi commissioner of police Sharanappa SD said: 'Rathod allegedly uploaded a provocative video on Facebook. We are investigating the matter and gathering evidence to determine the extent of his culpability.'
