A major rescue operation was launched after jubilant HSV supporters stormed the field following a thumping 6-1 win over SSV Ulm, which secured their promotion on the penultimate matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga.
Dramatic footage from the stadium shows fans jumping from the stands, toppling advertising boards and sprinting across the pitch in a frenzied mass.
Some climbed onto the players, while others raced toward the dugouts and attempted to enter the dressing rooms before being stopped by police, BlueWin reports.

Wrexham poised to break club transfer record for Nathan Broadhead
Wrexham are ready to break their transfer record in a deal worth up to £10million for Ipswich striker Nathan Broadhead, according to reports. The Red Dragons have tracked the 27-year-old Wales international for several weeks and are widely reported to be finalising the move after Ipswich signed Chuba Akpom from Ajax. Broadhead is in the final year of his contract at Ipswich, having joined them on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Everton for £1.5m in January 2023. Bangor-born Broadhead was in the Wrexham youth system before joining Everton at the age of 10. Wrexham have broken their transfer record numerous times since Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took control of the club in 2021. Lewis O'Brien joined from Nottingham Forest in a reported £3m deal last month, the midfielder one of several signings as Sky Bet Championship new boys Wrexham invested heavily ahead of their first campaign in the second tier of English football for 43 years. Man Utd have chance to offload £250k-a-week Jadon Sancho as they receive loan transfer bid
ROMA have reportedly made a bid to sign Jadon Sancho on a season-long loan from Manchester United. Sancho, 25, has not featured in any of United's pre-season games after returning from his season-long loan at Chelsea. The former England winger is part of Ruben Amorim's infamous 'Bomb Squad' alongside Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Antony. Sancho has been training alone after the squad leaves Carrington after Chelsea paid a £5million penalty for neglecting their £25million obligation to buy him on the basis of his huge wages. But United look set to offload Sancho's £250,000-a-week pay packet for another season with Roma interested in a loan deal. According to The Times, the Italian club have also made an inquiry for Aston Villa forward Leon Bailey. The Red Devils will save around £10million in wages if Sancho joins Roma. United have already been relieved of a significant financial burden after Barcelona agreed to cover Marcus Rashford 's reduced salary during his season-long loan. United chiefs would prefer to sell Sancho permanently for between £20million and 25million as he has one year left on his contract. Sancho won the Conference League with Chelsea last season and spent the second half of the previous season on loan at Dortmund. Besiktas have also been linked with a move for Sancho, who has scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 83 appearances for United. Wayne Rooney makes Premier League 2025/26 season predictions but his Man Utd tip leaves pundits shocked 2 Besiktas manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, brought Sancho to United in 2021 for £73million from Dortmund but the player fell out with the Norwegian's successor Erik ten Hag.
