The super tall family who spent £10million just to fit in their house
While some people pray to be taller, for one family their towering height has brought nothing but trouble.
Measuring between 6ft 3ins and 6ft 10ins, for the Temeras, even everyday tasks like taking a bath pose problems because they can't fit into a standard size tub.
Getting through doorways without banging their heads is a constant annoyance, and taking a shower under a standard-sized head is no mean feat either.
Now, the family has decided to take matters into their own hands and build a home they can all fit into, but it won't come cheap at a cost of £10million.
Their ability to go the "extra mile" and create a mega-mansion for the whole family is down to daughter Marie's success as a TikTok model who brings in £7.5 million every year. At 6ft 3ins tall, she's a foot taller than the average UK woman.
Woman, 25, says boyfriend, 76, is her 'soulmate' and blasts people calling it 'disgusting'
'Brits have work affairs all the time and cheating was the best thing I ever did'
Mum Christine, 63, - who stands at 6ft 5 - is a retired 911 operator, and dad Michael, 65, is 6ft 3, and formerly worked as an electrician. The model also has two basketballer brothers, Troy, 27, who stands at 6ft 10in and Shane, 29, who reaches 6ft 9in.
Currently, Marie lives in a £1.5 million property in Florida, with her parents living right next door in a £500,000 house that she bought them thanks to her success. But they're so sick of injuring themselves in their unsuitable homes that they're planning to knock both down and build one that is fit for purpose.
"We're going the extra mile to make our home more comfortable to live in,' Marie explained 'Our houses are way too small for us because the ceilings are eight feet tall so we're going to knock them down.
"We're always touching the door frames, banging our heads, and having to duck," Marie, who has three million followers on Instagram, explains about life in a normal-sized home.
"The toilets and showers are too low, we have to crouch down to wash our hair and the baths are too small to lie down in. We're going to have the ceilings and doors as tall as they can go and all the space we need."
Marie admits that sometimes things were "pretty hard" financially for the family - she also has two incredibly tall brothers, Troy, 27, and Shane, 29, who are 6ft 10 and 6ft 9 respectively.
"We didn't have that much money growing up, so we couldn't afford to make the house bigger like I can now. My brothers would smack their heads going down the stairs every time.
"The houses we lived in were from the seventies, so we were hitting our heads on ceilings, and everything was too low, including the toilets and shower heads. We all had that problem growing up.
"We are looking forward to having a home where we don't have to hunch, crouch, or worry about hitting our heads every time we walk through a room."
The model added, "Dad was an electrician, and he barely made anything. He made £26,000 a year, and my mom was an emergency operator, so she didn't make much more than that.
"It was pretty hard, but they did a really good job of giving us everything that we'd ever needed. They just never had any money to buy anything for themselves."
However, after decades of her parents putting their children's needs before their own, she is thrilled to be able to return the favour, and create the megamansion for the supersized family that they have always dreamed of.
"So they really put us first. It will be nice to do this for them; they deserve it. This is something we've talked about for years, and I'm grateful I can finally make it happen for my family."
Marie explains that her family is "happy" about her career and they have been able to retire thanks to the big bucks she is bringing in.
'My family is very grateful and happy for me and my career; they even star in some of my videos on TikTok," she says.
The plan is for the whole family of five to move into the custom mansion that Marie will have built, and never knock their heads whilst going about their days again.

Sarah Michelle Gellar proves she still slays in first look at Buffy revamp
We finally have our first images of Sarah Michelle Gellar on set for the rebooted and retooled Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The actress, 48, will reprise her role as Buffy Summers for the upcoming relaunch of the iconic 90s teen drama. Its original series ran for seven seasons between 1997 and 2003, and followed teenage vampire slayer Buffy as she battled bloodsuckers, demons, banshees and bad boyfriends alike. Over two decades later, a revival of the show is in the works with Hulu, with the actress also serving as executive producer. Featuring a new cast of fresh-faced vampire hunters, Gellar has promised that the show will 'try to find a balance between new and old characters' – with Buffy leading the charge. If this first glimpse of an all-grown-up Buffy is anything to go by, the fashionista vampire hunter still slays, all these years later. Pictured in Los Angeles, where both Buffy the Vampire Slayer and spin-off Angel were filmed, Buffy's new look is a striking departure from her teenage self. Once a trailblazer for 90s grunge and early 2000s fashion, middle-aged Buffy (feel old yet?) has swapped the leather jacket and leopard skin for a bright red top and matching skirt. She partnered this with a pair of crimson stilettos (with a heel high and sharp enough to pierce any vampire's heart) and a pink bag. Gellar officially shared the news that she was set to reprise her most famous role earlier this year. In a lengthy Instagram post, she explained that talks had begun three years ago, when 'dear friend and mentor' Gail Berman asked her to take a meeting with Eternals director Chloé Zhao. 'I was blown away that Chloé even knew who I was, but, as I've always done, I told Gail that I just didn't see a way for the show to exist again. We'd always been aligned on that, but this time I heard something different in her voice,' she explained. 'I eventually agreed to go (mainly just to meet Chloé) and our twenty minute coffee quickly turned into a four hour adventure. We laughed, we cried, but mostly we both talked about how much this show means to us.' Sarah continued: 'While I didn't agree to anything at that meeting, I did shock myself by agreeing to continue the conversation. These conversations did, in fact, continue over the next few years and eventually we added the incredible Nora and Lilla Zuckerman to our little tribe until ultimately, one day, we landed on an idea.' Promising that 'we will only make this show if we know we can do it right,' she assured fans: 'I will tell you that we are on the path there.' 'I feel so lucky to be on this journey with these four unbelievably talented women, all of whom love 'Buffy' as much as I as much as you do. 'Thank you to all the fans who never stopped asking for this. This will be for you.' According to Deadline, series creator Joss Whedon will have no involvement in the reboot. While it remains to be seen which other members of the original cast will return, the show has already found its next generation of vampire hunters. In May, it was announced that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew star Ryan Kiera Armstrong had joined the cast as Sunnydale's newest Slayer. Sharing the news as she welcomed 15-year-old Ryan aboard, Gellar wrote: 'From the moment I saw Ryan's audition, I knew there was only one girl that I wanted by my side. 'To have that kind of emotional intelligence , and talent, at such a young age is truly a gift. The bonus is that her smile lights up even the darkest room.' Earlier this month, Deadline reported that actors Faly Rakotohavana, Ava Jean, Sarah Bock, Daniel Di Tomasso and Jack Cutmore-Scott had also joined the show as series regulars. The original show was beloved for its extended cast, which included Alyson Hannigan as Willow Rosenberg, Anthony Head as librarian Giles, and broody vampires Spike (James Marsters) and Angel (David Boreanaz). One tragic void left in the cast will be Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Buffy's younger sister, Dawn. According to a source for the actress had been 'incredibly hopeful' that she might also reprise her role for the reboot. 'Sarah Michelle obviously felt that the reboot would need her as much as it needed Sarah,' an insider said, claiming that she had a 'pivotal role,' and that 'everyone was aware of her recent health struggles'. 'They were hoping that, perhaps, casting her as Sarah's sister in a reboot would help her overcome any issues she was having. She was not cast out by any means.' Trachtenberg died before this could come to pass, after being found in a luxury apartment complex in New York, aged 39. More Trending In tribute to her late co-star, Gellar shared a series of snaps from their time together. She captioned the post: 'Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you.' View More » All seven seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer are currently streaming on ITVX. Leonardo DiCaprio's 'covered face' sparks wave of bizarre conspiracy theories
Leonardo DiCaprio's face has got people talking—but perhaps not for the reasons you'd expect. The Hollywood star first achieved international fame with roles in Romeo & Juliet (1996) and as Titanic heartthrob Jack in 1997, going on to become one of the world's highest-paid actors and the recipient of many prestigious awards. So, given how instantly recognisable the Oscar winner is, it's no surprise he likes to conceal his identity sometimes to avoid attracting crowds. However, fans are starting to notice a trend, leading to a wild conspiracy theory that the person we've been seeing at some huge A-list events… might not have been Leo at all. In June, Leo, 50, joined Kim Kardashian, Orlando Bloom, and Sydney Sweeney in Venice for the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez. Naturally, the whole thing was a lavish, very public affair, but it seems Leo had hopes of keeping a low profile, as he was photographed covering his face. The Revenant star pulled a black baseball cap so far down that his face was not visible at all while he roamed the Italian streets, covering his mouth with his hand. Dressed in casual attire of a white shirt and navy jacket, if you didn't know it was Leo, well, you probably wouldn't have known it was Leo, prompting questions among social media users about whether he sent a body double out in his place. Fuelling the theories, Instagram user @vickymego commented under snaps from the getaway: 'If Leonardo DiCaprio was gonna spend the whole event hiding under a cap, then what was the point of even showing up?' And after Vogue Magazine shared a video of Leo heading to the ceremony in his tux, also bowing his head to prevent his face from showing as he climbed into a waiting boat taxi, the rumours only intensified. 'What plastic surgery has he had done?', commented @isaidwhatisaid655. @scarlettmaroon4 joked: 'oops someone has gotten older and needs to hide it with a cap🤭'. 'he is losing his hair that's why', @tehpengzz speculated on the reasons for the hat. Several others declared that the man in the footage was 'not him', suggesting that 'maybe it's someone else'. Plenty also flocked to his defence, declaring that Leo is simply 'tired of the paparazzi', having been in the limelight since a young age. Although the cynical were out in force too, suggesting that the proud environmental activist felt 'embarrassed' to be at the billionaire's wedding and wanted to 'hide his hypocrisy'. This isn't the first time he's covered his face, though—far from it, in fact. The Wolf of Wall Street lead has been pictured utilising various methods of disguise in the past, whether it be a cap or something else. Dating back to 2004, Leo has shielded his face from photographers using a puffer jacket, a traditional Venetian mask in 2013, and an umbrella at the US Open in 2015. He's also frequently used sunglasses, hoodies, and his mobile phone to prevent the world from getting a glimpse of him. As for what he's said about his unsuccessful attempts at hiding in plain sight, Leo has admitted that losing his anonymity has been a downfall of his astronomical stardom. Speaking to Esquire in 2016 for a profile piece, the Golden Globe winner shared: 'I really didn't understand what fame was, and I didn't understand what being in a giant hit was, and I didn't understand what a giant hit Titanic was compared to other giant hits. 'There was no rule book. There was nobody to navigate me through the experience of being watched all the time, and nobody to tell me how to be normal when everybody is acting and looking at me differently.' The Don't Look Up star added: 'Look, if you're not careful about it, it can develop into a social anxiety. It's like, what's going to happen? What photographer is going to jump out where? What kind of thing am I being set up for? You try to talk yourself out of it, but you're never used to it.' But don't get it twisted, as while he might not always want to be front-page news, Leo has repeatedly insisted he's thankful for what he has. He previously told 20/20's Barbara Walters: 'I'm not at all going to sit here and say that I'm not completely grateful. 'I feel completely blessed for everything that has happened in my career.' Leo, as famous for his dating life as he is for his movies, is currently in a relationship with girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti, to whom he was first linked in 2023. While insights he offers into his romances, typically with younger women, are rare, he once said he wouldn't rule out settling down. 'That time will come when that time comes,' declared the famous bachelor. 'The truth is, you can't predict marriage. You can't plan it. It's just going to happen when it happens.' Got a story?
