Manchester police narrow down when newborn's body may have been placed in water at park
Police in Manchester, New Hampshire said they have narrowed down the timeline for when the body of a newborn girl may have been placed in the water at a park last week.
The newborn baby girl was found
floating in the water
off of Brown Avenue at Pine Island Park on Thursday at around 4 p.m. Police were called to the scene after getting a 911 call about an object floating in the water.
Investigators now believe the baby was placed in the water sometime between Tuesday, March 25 and Thursday, March 27, when she was found. They said this is important in helping them track down the baby's mother.
The baby's death is unknown at this point but police are calling her death suspicious. Her identity has not been released.
Police have also announced a $2,500 cash reward for any information that helps them solve this case. They said they've received more than 50 tips already and they're hoping for more.
"We're looking for information from anybody who may have seen somebody discarding an object into the water between March 25 and March 27," said Manchester Police Chief Peter Marr. "If anyone has photographs or videos taken at Pine Island Park and Pine Island Pond during that time, we ask that you send those to us. We're also still requesting information about anyone who was pregnant during that timeframe who is no longer pregnant and does not have a newborn baby with them."

Parents of Sanford toddler nearly killed in hit-and-run ask for community help to solve the case
Sanford Police are asking the community to come forward with information on a hit-and-run that nearly killed a toddler. 3-year-old Harmonie Rose Bryant has been fighting for her life at Arnold Palmer hospital, since she was hit on Persimmon Avenue in the Goldsboro neighborhood on Thursday. According to her family, the toddler is in stable condition, but she had brain bleeding and multiple fractures to her skull and pelvis. The family spoke exclusively with Channel 9 and said Harmonie will likely have a long road to recovery. According to the family, the 3-year-old is awake but unable to communicate and could have lasting issues from the crash. Her parents told Channel 9 they were watching their daughter play 'Red Light, Green Light' with her older brother just feet away from their Sanford home, as a driver jumped the curve and slammed into their daughter. 'We were sitting right there on the porch when it happened. And that car came flying around the corner,' said Harmonie's father Melvin Bryant. 'She went flying in the air. I jumped off the porch, almost fell down the steps,' added Harmonie's mother Lakisha Debose, as she recalled the horrifying moment. Harmonie's parents said they have been by their daughter's hospital bedside 24/7 since the crash and are asking for continued prayers for her recovery. The family and several neighbors told Channel 9 speeding is a problem along Persimmon Avenue where the crash happened. They believe the city needs to take some speed calming measures on the road. Meanwhile, Harmonie's parents said they are frustrated the person responsible for the hit and run is still at large. They are begging the community to provide information to police that could help close the case. 'I want justice,' said Bryant, 'I'm asking for anybody to step forward.' Sanford Police said they do have persons of interest but have not made any arrests yet. Police searching for driver in hit-and-run crash that killed bicyclist in Osceola County
The Florida Highway Patrol has released information on a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Pleasant Hill Road, resulting in the death of an adult male bicyclist. Officials report that a newer model black Honda Accord (V1), which remains unidentified, was heading north in the inside lane of Pleasant Hill Road, while a Volkswagen Jetta (V2) was in the outside lane. The bicyclist was in the center of the intersection as both vehicles, having a green light, approached. The front of V1 struck the bicyclist, throwing him into the outside lane, where the left side of V2 then hit him. The driver of V2 attempted to swerve to avoid the collision but was unable to do so. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of V1 fled the scene northbound on Pleasant Hill Road. The driver and passenger of V2, who were uninjured, remained at the scene. Authorities are seeking information about the crash and urge anyone with details to contact FHP at *347 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS. Man injured in Chesapeake shooting on Schooner Trail
CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The Chesapeake Police Department are investigating a shooting in which a man was shot around 1:26 a.m. Saturday on the 4000 block of Schooner Trail. The man received injuries considered to be non life-threatening. The investigation is active and ongoing.
