Police searching for driver in hit-and-run crash that killed bicyclist in Osceola County
The Florida Highway Patrol has released information on a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Pleasant Hill Road, resulting in the death of an adult male bicyclist. Officials report that a newer model black Honda Accord (V1), which remains unidentified, was heading north in the inside lane of Pleasant Hill Road, while a Volkswagen Jetta (V2) was in the outside lane. The bicyclist was in the center of the intersection as both vehicles, having a green light, approached. The front of V1 struck the bicyclist, throwing him into the outside lane, where the left side of V2 then hit him. The driver of V2 attempted to swerve to avoid the collision but was unable to do so. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of V1 fled the scene northbound on Pleasant Hill Road. The driver and passenger of V2, who were uninjured, remained at the scene. Authorities are seeking information about the crash and urge anyone with details to contact FHP at *347 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS. Reward offered in search for man accused of trying to kidnap woman in Orange County
The Orange County Sheriff's Office is reaching to the public for help tracking down a person of interest in an almost two-week-old case. The sheriff's Office says Crimeline is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man pictured above. Investigators say on the morning of May 11, this man stole a 4Runner, then tried to force a woman inside it shortly after. Investigators say the man drove it several times past a woman who was walking her dog near Adanson Street and Lee Road. That woman said the man blocked her, then pointed a gun at her and told her to get in. The woman ran, and the man drove away, the sheriff's office said. The 4Runner was later recovered, but the man remains at large. He was caught on camera where the vehicle was taken. He is shown to have black hair and an average build, and may have a tattoo on his left forearm. Man sought after woman says he tried to kidnap her at gunpoint in Orang County
Orange County deputies are searching for a man accused of stealing a vehicle and using it to try to kidnap a woman. Deputies say the incident happened just after 10 a.m. on May 11. The victim said she was walking her dog near Adanson Street and Lee Road when a gray Toyota 4Runner drove past her several times. Deputies say the woman told them she kept walking when the sport utility vehicle suddenly turned and blocked her path. She said the driver pointed a handgun at her and told her to get in the car. The woman ran, and the man drove away, the sheriff's office said. Deputies say the 4Runner had been stolen earlier that morning. It was later recovered, although the driver has not been found. The man was caught on camera where the vehicle was taken. He has black hair and an average build. Deputies say he may have a tattoo on his left forearm. Anyone who recognizes him or knows anything about the incident is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office or Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477. Altamonte Springs PD asking for help locating missing 16-year-old autistic teen
The Altamonte Springs Police Department is urgently looking for the public's help to find 16-year-old Jayvon Fleming, who has autism and is currently reported missing. Jayvon was last seen by his family on May 16, 2025, around 11:00 p.m. in the Cranes Roost Villas neighborhood, near Heron Street in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Jayvon is identified as a Black male, standing 5 feet tall and weighing 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. When he went missing, he was dressed in a blue and purple Yoshi shirt, white pants, and gray shoes. The police urge anyone with information about Jayvon's whereabouts to contact the Altamonte Springs Police Department at 407-339-2441 or call 911 immediately. Deputies identify 19-year-old shot to death in Orange County
Deputies in Orange County are investigating a young man's death over the weekend. Deputies said 19-year-old Ka'Vrone Westmoreland was shot to death early Sunday morning on Silver Star Road. Neighbors told Channel 9 that they had heard a loud noise around midnight and came out to see sheriff's deputies working at the scene.
