Prince Andrew ‘misses doing royal events and being able to dress up', says biographer
Mr Lownie, author of a new biography on the Duke and Duchess of York, told Times Radio that a member of the Duke's staff claimed Andrew 'doesn't mind' being 'disgraced'.
'He said he doesn't mind about all that. The thing he really cares about is he's no longer, you know, doing royal events and being able to dress up,' Lownie said.
His book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, includes claims about the Duke's private life, including alleged affairs and clashes with Prince Harry.
Lownie recently clashed with Jacob Rees-Mogg, who dismissed the book on GB News as 'salacious gossip'.

Jeremy Clarkson launches new version of UK favourite product only available to customers of his pub
DIDDLY SQUIRT Jeremy Clarkson launches new version of UK favourite product only available to customers of his pub Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JEREMY Clarkson is to finally offer tomato ketchup to punters at his The Farmer's Dog boozer after a UK firm produced an all-British one. TV star Jezza, 65, will also flog bottles of the condiment at his Diddly Squat farm as it meets his UK-only ingredients condition. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 2 Jeremy Clarkson is to finally offer tomato ketchup to punters at his boozer after a UK firm produced an all-British one An Isle of Wight company took on the challenge after the subject arose on Clarkson's Farm. It came after thousands of requests for ketchup at Jezza's pub in Burford, Oxon, saw staff put up a sign urging diners not to bother asking for it. The firm, Condimaniac, uses Isle of Wight tomato passata, apple cider vinegar from Hants, Essex salt and British sugar and onions. Boss Kier Kemp said: 'Making a 100 per cent British ketchup after Jeremy Clarkson alerted us to the fact there wasn't one was very hard. "We had to put on our big boy pants.' The firm made 1,700 bottles for its first order to be sold at the pub's one-stop butcher and bottle shop and at Clarkson's farm in Chipping Norton. The firm's own supplies of the £7.95 red sauce have sold out. A source close to Clarkson's pub said: 'Jeremy and the team support the British food and farming industry. 'So he made no apologies for not selling ketchup, no matter how many times staff had to let customers down. 'But the pub's always said that if a British company could do it with all-British ingredients, it would get on the menu. Clarkson's Farm star Harriet Cowan admits she is 'not making any money from farming' despite show appearance 'Hopefully it'll be a success.'

I bought a 1997 static caravan for £5k & am transforming it into my dream tiny home with DIY & Dunelm buys
BUYING a house can be expensive, so many people are thinking outside the box to find more affordable options. One woman shared how she managed to buy a 1997 static caravan for just £5,000, and is now transforming it into her dream tiny home. 2 Loz Russell shared how she had found the tiny home from Sambeck Caravans in Essex and viewed around 20 before finding this one, which she was able to put on private land. In a clip on her @ account which has racked up over 126,000 views, she shared how they have already transformed the dining area on a budget to look brand new. She shared: 'Our first project is the dining area. We are completely stripping out the existing banquet seating, removing the panels on the walls, and then insulating, battening, and re-boarding. 'This was actually really funny for us because even though we knew the caravan wasn't winterised, we were not expecting to find literal polystyrene in the walls.' She shared how they stripped and insulated all of the walls, replacing them with V-groove panelling. Loz continued: 'Next week, we cut and sanded all of the new walls. We were able to borrow a workshop for this because the weather was so bad we couldn't do it outside.' They then painted the walls a bright white shade, which gave the place an instant face list. She added: 'This is when I really started to get excited, and it was really starting to come together with the new walls and some paint.' They then added a bench for seating and painted it the same colour as the walls - and then added a Swithland Roman Blind from Dunelm. Perfect for storage, the benches also lift up to reveal some extra space underneath. We moved into a caravan in my mother-in-law's garden for a year, sure it was cramped but we saved £20k She added: 'We still have the backrest to do, a little cabinet at the end to add, and the window to double glaze. But this is how it's looking now, and I honestly love it so much.' Her next jobs include adding a media wall and electric fire to the lounge. Many viewers were impressed with her caravan renovation project, and rushed to the comments to praise Loz's hard work. One said: 'Beautiful, great job, this was always my dream to do this.' TikTok is a bad influence.' LIVING in a caravan can be an economical and flexible lifestyle choice in the UK. Ex-England star Andy Carroll DUMPS Lou Teasdale after police quiz over boozy rows as he tells pals he's ‘sick' of her
FORMER Premier League striker Andy Carroll has dumped his girlfriend Lou Teasdale after a string of rows. Friends said Carroll, 36, blew the whistle on his year-long romance with the celebrity make-up artist this week. 4 4 It comes eight weeks after he was questioned by police following two boozy holiday arguments with Lou, 41. A source said: 'Andy got sick of Lou's demands and her influencer lifestyle. 'She's always posting on social media and he hates that. He told her it was over this week. He's single now.' The former Liverpool, Newcastle and England centre-forward returned to the UK with Dagenham & Redbridge last month after a two-year spell in France. The father of five has now wiped all trace of Lou from his social media accounts. A friend added: 'Andy and Lou have been having massive rows for a while. 'It's been a tough time and now he's back in the UK, he just wants to focus on football and his kids. 'He hates the influencer lifestyle. He has no interest in posing for loved-up pics. 'He's most happy spending time with his children and kicking a ball around. Money and fame means nothing to him these days. 'It was clearly causing issues between them.' Andy started dating mum- of-one Lou following his split from ex-reality TV star wife Billi Mucklow, with whom he has three children. Andy, who also has two kids from a previous relationship, posed with Lou at his signing on a free transfer for non-league side Dagenham & Redbridge in July. The month before, he was twice quizzed by police over bust-ups with Lou on the Greek island of Mykonos. He was warned after their first argument at a beachside restaurant, then taken to the police station after a second row at their hotel that evening. Wedding bells not far off Andy was not arrested and it is understood no further action was taken. After patching things up, they celebrated their one-year anniversary at Glastonbury's luxury £38,000 pop-up hotel. Until this week, friends thought wedding bells were not far off after Lou gushed about their future. Despite once being a £35million footballer, Andy had played for Bordeaux for just £1,190 a month. He has signed a three-year deal with Dagenham & Redbridge, and said he turned down potential offers from clubs in higher leagues. Carroll said: 'Coming here and showing people I am just playing for the love of football rather than the money and the level is something I wanted to do.' 4 Andy Carroll and Lou Teasdale's 'holiday romance' AS pals of the pair suspect they will struggle with their love back on home turf, here are some of the pair's sun-soaked getaways In October 2024, the pair were spotted kissing for the first time in a beach club in Mallorca In January 2025, they enjoyed a snowy getaway in Megève, Mont Blanc In April 2025, The pair shared a loved up kiss in a pool in France, where they re-located when Andy signed for French side Bordeaux In April 2025, they put on a loved-up display on holiday in Magaluf The Sun's exclusive pictures in May 2025 saw the pair walking hand-in-hand in Ibiza In June 2025, they jetted on holiday to Greece - yet the trip was marred when Andy was quizzed twice by Police
