Justin Bieber snubs Met Gala as Hailey makes bold solo statement on red carpet

Hailey Bieber looked amazing as she attended this year's Met Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York - but husband Justin Bieber wasn't by her side at the annual event
Hailey Bieber was left to walk the Met Gala red carpet alone after husband Justin opted against attending. Hailey didn't seem to be affected by her man's decision, though, as she flaunted her fantastic look on at the iconic annual bash.
Socialite Hailey exuded glamour as she wore a classic black blazer as she arrived at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Hailey braved the temperatures of New York with her blazer resting high on her thighs as she posed for the hoard of photographers on the red carpet.

Keeping her classical look to a minimum, Hailey styled her hair into loose waves, cascading freely over her shoulders and down her back. She accessorised her outfit with striking silver jewellery, with diamonds resting on her neckline, while large diamond rings were seen on her fingers.

The theme for this year's gala is 'Tailored for You' in connection with the Costume's Institute's landmark new exhibition, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
Hailey had been spotted earlier in the day out and about in the Big Apple in a sexy maid-esque mini dress and heels. Justin was nowhere to be seen. Instead, he took to Instagram to show off a golf trip.
Her solo appearance at the glitzy event comes after fans were left concerned over her husband's his alleged drug use in recent months as well as fears for their marriage. Justin has previously been open about his struggles in the past and in an episode of Justin Bieber: Seasons, he confessed that he started using marijuana when he was only "12 or 13."
After struggling to grow up in the public eye Justin's substance misuse escalated to "pretty heavy drugs," with the star also abusing alcohol as a coping mechanism. By 2021 he started working on sobriety, worrying he "was dying" due to his years of issues.
In recent weeks, Justin has sparked concern again after a series of social media snaps. Back in March, he shared six very similar photos of himself appearing to use a bong to smoke marijuana.

Now, Justin has taken to Instagram again where he shared a photo of Australian singer Eddie Benjamin, who was sat playing an acoustic guitar. The Baby hitmaker could be seen in the background of the snap as he appeared to be using what looked like a glass bong while sat in an open doorway.
Another picture from the same day showed Justin, who shares 10-month old son Jack Blues with Hailey, stood in a red hoodie next to Eddie, with the large glass bong on the floor next to him.

The apparent bong didn't go unnoticed by his fans, who have been open in their concern for the star. One said: "Thats a huge bong." Another added: "The Bong in the background."
Someone else commented: "All I see is a couple of potheads. Always thought @justinbieber was better than that. At least keep it out of the public view. You're not setting a good example for your young fans. Your standards appear low."

Despite the alarming content, however, Justin's reps said rumours of him using hard drugs were "absolutely not true," and that he was "simply in one of the best places in his life".
Speaking to TMZ, Justin's rep said the past year has been "very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him."
They added that fans' concerns about his physical and mental health are "exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive."
