The actress made the cheeky plea as she reunited with former co-star Danny Dyer, sparking fresh hopes for a comeback in Albert Square. Speaking during a fun catch-up with Danny Dyer (who played Mick Carter), Patsy admitted she's been dropping hints ever since she left Walford. Taking to Instagram, Patsy posted a selfie with Danny as they reunited at a Paul Strank Charitable Trust event in London. She wrote in the caption: "With the divine @officialdannydyer who I just think is sublime at the @paulstrankcharitabletrust - what a great evening! "I had a wonderful time on @bbceastenders I would love to be back on that show." Fans were quick to call for her return too, as they flooded the comment section. One wrote: "You'd be great on EastEnders 😍 Absolutely I might even start watching again." Another added: "I would absolutely love to see you back." In an interview with The Sun, Patsy admitted she would love a soap comeback after revealing that EastEnders was her "dream job" and a career highlight. Speaking on the red carpet of this year's British Soap Awards, Patsy revealed: "Soap is something that I love and I loved my time at Emmerdale and my 4 years at Holby City, but then I went into EastEnders. EastEnders fans SWITCH OFF slamming 'worst episode' as backlash grows to controversial pregnancy storyline "EastEnders was actually my dream job, I've wanted to be in that show for years. "If I could throw a wish out there it would be that Emma could come back to see Lexi (her granddaughter)." Meanwhile, Danny is rumoured to be plotting his own comeback as Mick Carter. Danny claimed to have thrown in the towel three years ago because he couldn't believe his character got paired up with Charlie Brooks' Janine and got her pregnant. Best soap affair love triangles LOVE triangles are a fundamental part of soap-land, but which ones have become the most iconic? EASTENDERS Bradley/Stacey/Max: Stacey Slater began an affair with boyfriend Bradley Branning's dad Max in 2007. Despite their romps, Stacey still married Bradley, but their deceit came out in an iconic Christmas Day episode that year. Grant/Sharon/Phil: Heading even further back in Walford history, EastEnders fans were gripped in the 90s as Sharon Watts had a one-night stand with her brother-in-law Phil Mitchell. Sharon confided in best friend Michelle Fowler - not realising it was caught on tape - and her husband Grant eventually found out and played it in front of everyone at the Queen Vic. Syed/Amira/Christian: Syed Masood was engaged to Amira before realising he had feelings for another man, Christian, which he confessed to him on his wedding day. A devout Muslim, Syed refused to admit his true sexuality and went ahead and married Amira anyway, but when they returned, the two men started an affair before being caught in the act by Amira. CORONATION STREET Shelley/Peter/Lucy: Peter Barlow took the concept of a love triangle and ran with it in Coronation Street - extending it to bigamy. He was in a relationship with Shelley Unwin but started dating Lucy Richards, and quickly married her after she fell pregnant with his son, Simon. But it didn't stop him also marrying Shelley, but he was eventually caught when Lucy turned up in Weatherfield and the two women confronted him. Ken/Deidre/Mike: Back in 1982, Deirdre Barlow started sleeping with her husband's nemesis Mike Baldwin in secret, before confessing all a year later. When Mike turned up at the marital home, Deirdre was being throttled by her husband who then kicked her out, but years later they reconciled. Maria/Aidan/Eva: In 2017, Aidan Connor started sleeping with girlfriend Eva Price's best friend, Maria Connor. Eva eventually found out and she decided to take revenge by faking a pregnancy, spending his money and planned to confront him on their wedding day. But she had a change of heart when a remorseful Aidan confessed, and decided to marry him anyway, only for Maria to arrive and expose her fake pregnancy. EMMERDALE Ross/Debbie/Pete: Debbie Dingle found herself torn between two brothers, Ross and Pete Barton in 2015 in Emmerdale. She eventually decided to marry Pete but yet again, a soap wedding day was ruined when the groom learned of his bride's betrayal via a recording played at the wedding. Chrissie/Robert/Aaron: Robert Sugden was married to Chrissie White and all seemed well - until he began a steamy affair with Aaron Dingle. Robert's ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair - but fell to her death before she had the chance. However, a guilty Aaron eventually cracked and told Chrissie about the affair - after which she announced it to the whole pub. Talking on Sky's Smart TV he said: "Mick's got a kid with Janine, how mad's that? That's why I left. "They f*ing put me with Janine, I thought I've gotta fk off! It's the truth!" However, he later revealed: 'I was off my nut a lot of that job . . . a lot of Valium and diazepam.' He accused show chiefs of a lack of duty of care for the cast, and also said show bosses tried to stop him from drinking real beer while filming in the Queen Vic pub. But at the NTAs, Danny said: "Bring Mick back, which is the character I played in EastEnders. "So I could be back for it. You never found my body, f*** knows where I am - bring Mick back!" Could a double return be on the cards? The new EastEnders boss Ben Wadey has already brought back some iconic characters, such as Zoe Slater and Oscar Branning. And even more returns are in the pipeline - from the likes of Max Branning, Ben Mitchell and Anthony Fox. However, fuming EastEnders fans have recently threatened to switch off their TVs as backlash grows over a controversial pregnancy twist. Suki's (Balvinder Sopal) twisted plan to manipulate Avani (Aaliyah James) into having a baby – just so she can raise it herself - has received a huge public backlash. Viewers are slamming the storyline as 'unrealistic' and 'garbage', with some even vowing to ditch the soap for good. To make matters worse, Patrick (Rudolph Walker) suddenly spiralled into a gambling problem, despite two decades of betting without a hitch. Viewers were left scratching their heads and branding the writing "tedious" and "a challenge to watch." Can the soap win viewers back? Casualty star reveals 'beautiful moment' in his life during 'tough time'

In 2024, Olly Rix's life changed when he brought a little dog called Nellie home. The actor has been playing Flynn Byron in BBC One's Casualty since March of this year. It's a busy life Olly leads working in the continuing drama and looking after young Nellie but recently, a rare day off from filming saw him take a trip to The Dogs Trust in Cardiff. Olly adores dogs, and could wait to learn more about the work the charity does. The Dogs Trust is an animal welfare charity and humane society that specialises in the well-being of dogs. It's the largest dog welfare charity in the UK and cares for over 15,000 animals each year. The charity's primary objective is to protect all dogs in the UK and elsewhere from cruelty and suffering. It focuses on the rehoming and rehabilitation of dogs who have been abandoned or given up by their owners. I'm a dog lover but I've never visited a rehoming centre before. As a result, it left me wondering if Olly's first emotion when he entered The Dogs Trust in Cardiff – a place home to unwanted dogs – was sadness. In our latest chat he reassured me that wasn't the case, as a dedicated team of people work hard to create an environment full of hope, love and celebratory moments. 'It was amazing. They talked me through the whole thing. How they work as an organisation and across the country, to how they work in that specific locality and in Cardiff', he said. 'I met various different dogs who all have different back stories, some absolutely heartbreaking, some actually oddly sort of uplifting. I met puppies who have just been born. They didn't have any kind of story but they were absolutely beautiful. 'They do so much work and it's so variable. It isn't really a sort of gut wrenchingly heartbreaking day. There's such a beautiful energy there. The people involved are just so humbling to be around. They are so selfless, and so focused on all the dogs there. It's such a tonic to the b******t of everyday life, to just go and be around some thoughtful, wonderful souls.' He smiled: 'They even named a dog after me! He was about a year old, a chocolate Labrador and they called him Olly, which was just so lovely. I got to meet him and play with him, it was a really special time. 'They just don't give up. I think what becomes so apparent so quickly is that there's a sort of uplifting nature to the entire organisation. It hits you in the face within seconds of walking in the door, because everything there, every sort of little soul there, is going to be okay. 'It's going to be a different process and a different journey for each one of them, and some of them will have a really tough time and they might have come from, you know, really horrendous circumstances, and they might need a lot of sort of medical care and intervention that will make the adoption process quite complicated. But even then, in the most extreme cases, they don't stop, they just see it through.' After spending the day at the centre, Olly headed home to look after his own furry best friend Nellie. The pooch is still young, which means Olly has recently had to battle through what everyone faces becoming owner to a new dog: sleepless nights, toilet training, and chaotic mishaps. It's certainly not easy but Olly wouldn't change it for the world. He told me that Nellie arrived in his life at a pivotal time for him, as he was 'having a bit of a tough time' and needed something to focus on. 'I think dogs can irrevocably change anybody's life', he noted. 'Little Nellie came along at a time when I was having a bit of a tough time, sort of personally and professionally, and it was just a bit of a tricky patch. It happens in life sometimes, and she came along in a moment when I needed to take my own attention away from myself, and not sort of become overly introspective or overly self centred, I suppose. It was really valuable and helped. 'So many people find that if they suffer from depression, for example, a dog is a perfect way of taking their attention into a different realm that is maybe more manageable for them. It allows them to see a bit of light in their life, and allows them to care for something external to themselves. That wasn't my situation, but it was something that I discussed with them at The Dogs Trust. A lot of people explained that they've seen that a lot.' 'My situation was different from that, but it was a similar sort of paradigm. It was all about this beautiful, innocent little life that needed me functioning to care for it. It became a really beautiful moment in my life. Despite the things going on around me, it was actually just a really pleasant, uplifting time. I'm always going to do everything I can to champion all dogs.' We're about halfway through Casualty's latest boxset Supply and Demand. As the latter half of the miniseries begins, focus will shift more onto Flynn. There's a lot of order and control when it comes to Flynn's work at Holby ED but in his personal life, things couldn't be more different. 'I think he's sort of settled within the job, but I think he's deeply, personally unsettled, which is a thread that this series begins to pull', Olly told me. 'His family is fractured and he's left to face that in a way that he perhaps hasn't had to before. The quiet nights at home and stuff like that. It's not long before he starts thinking actually, quiet nights at home are probably the last thing he wants, and that's when chaos ensues.' More Trending 'I think the interesting aspect of this series, as far as Flynn is concerned, is that we do a bit of a deep dive into why he is the way he is. We start to explain some of that behaviour in a way we hadn't before. He is quite abrupt and abrasive in some contexts, but we've never really explained why, aside from saying that he's come from a military background rather than a civilian background. 'But it's nice to flesh that out now and explore his emotional world as well.' Could you give one of these adorable pooches their forever home? BRITAIN'S loneliest dogs have been revealed, with some pooches waiting up to eight years to find their forever homes. Despite being "cuddle monsters" and "stealing the hearts" of animal shelter staff, many dogs are overlooked, and have to watch countless of their furry friends get adopted before them. 11 Could you give Toby his forever home? Credit: Dogs Trust Many have been treated incredibly cruelly before being taken in to care, with the RSPCA receiving an average of 374 reports of cruelty against animals every single day during the busy summer period. If you're looking to add an extra member to your family, why not consider one of these adorable pooches. Toby Also living at Dogs Trust Merseyside is 11-year-old lurcher Toby, who was handed over the the charity seven years ago due to his owner's ill health. 11 Toby is keen to find an adult-only retirement home Credit: Dogs Trust The ageing pup is keen to find an adult-only retirement home, with access to a large field he can play off-lead in. Domino 11-year-old Lurcher Domino has been in the care of Dogs Trust Leeds for a whopping 2600 days (over seven years). The playful pooch was found by the charity as a stray, and has struggled to find his forever home, despite being a fun and affectionate Canine. 11 Domino was found by the charity as a stray Credit: The dogs trust Domino is fully house-trained and loves peaceful rural walks, and is looking for an adult-only home where he is the only pet. Liam and Noel Named after the iconic rock duo, tiny chihuahuas Liam and Noel have been living at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, for 150 days, four times longer than the average pooch stays at the shelter. The four-year-old cheeky chihuahuas need a private garden to play in, and could live in a family with older teenagers, who respect their space. 11 Liam and Noel are an inseparable pair Credit: Battersea Dogs Home Hannah Gee, Rehoming Team Leader at Battersea Old Windsor, said: 'Since coming into the centre through no fault of their own, this supersonic pair really are inseparable, and some might say that they've stolen the hearts of everyone they meet. "Though they were both quite nervous when they first came into us, little by little they have started to come out of their shells and are now looking to complete their band line-up with loving new owners'. Sonny Jim Sonny Jim is an ex-racing greyhound, and has been living at Battersea Home for Dogs & Cats for 270 days. 11 Sonny Jim is an ex-racing greyhound, Credit: Battersea Dogs Home The four-year-old pet can be shy at first, but his bouncy and affectionate personality soon shines through. Like most ex-racers, Sonny has a chase instinct, so he needs to be on a lead and muzzled when out and about, but he is very comfortable with this. Gina Crossbreed Gina was rescued by the RSCPA over 400 days ago, and has been in the care of the charity's Northumberland West Branch ever since. 11 When she was found, Gina was living in a cage Credit: RSPCA When she was found, the five-year-old canine was living in a cage where she was unable to stand, and had very little experience of the outside world. The pooch has been adopted twice already, but was both times returned to the RSPCA due to separation anxiety, and is still on the hunt for a family to show her love and affection. Kevin When seven-year-old Cane Corso Kevin first arrived at RSPCA Southridge Animal Centre, he was incredibly thin and week, and he has been getting care and treatment for the past 700 days. 11 Kevin has been in the care of the RSPCA for 700 days Credit: RSCPA Anna White, an RSPCA staff member who looks after Kevin said: "Super sweet, super playful, and super cuddly. Kevin is our gorgeous sweetheart who just wants love and attention. "He is a big boy and doesn't understand how strong he can be, gentle but a giant, and can be strong on the lead so his new owner will need to be able to hold him well.' Lulu Eight-year-old crossbreed Lulu was rescued by the RSPCA as part of an investigation, and has spent more than a year in total being cared for by the charity's Cornwall Branch. 11 Lulu is desperate for a forever home Credit: RSPCA The adorable pooch is house-trained, travels well in the car, and is happy to be left alone for a few hours. She would love a forever home with a secure garden, and with careful management, can be introduced to other dogs. Princess German Shepherd cross lab Princess arrived at RSPCA Gonsal Farm Animal Centre with a broken leg, after her owner was unable to afford treatment. 11 Princess arrived at the RSPCA with a broken leg Credit: RSPCA The two-year-old has since had surgery, and has been looking for an adult-only forever home since February. Despite being described by RSPCA staff as an "absolute joy" and "highly intelligent", she has so far been overlooked, and has watched countless furry friends get rehomed before her. Mika Mika was rescued by RSPCA Brent Knoll Animal Centre, before her owner was investigated and prosecuted. The five-year-old Akita, who has been searching for a home for more than a year, would need to be the only animal, and would be suitable to live with children of secondary school age. 11 Mika has been described as a 'cuddle monster' Credit: RSPCA Katy Darelli, Animal Centre Manager, said: 'She is a big, strong, powerful girl but she is a real cuddle monster. She really does love people. 'She has watched so many of her furry friends find their perfect match before her - and we just don't want to see her spend one day longer than he needs to in kennels.
