Deputies: Engine ejected from car after high-speed crash ends in flames
Deputies reportedly pulled a driver from the fiery wreck of his car following a high-speed crash on Friday evening.
According to Sheriff Sanders with the Thurston County Sheriff's Office (TCSO), TCSO deputies, Tumwater Police Department officers, and East Olympic Fire firefighters responded to a single-vehicle high-speed collision on 93rd Avenue.
Sheriff Sanders stated that 911 callers reported the vehicle was on fire, fully engulfed, and exploding.
A TCSO unit first on the scene grabbed the driver, who deputies say had a suspended license, and is now in custody for DUI.
Sheriff Sanders added that the collision had enough force to eject the engine from the car, which can be seen lying in the middle of the road.

Travis Decker search shifts focus as officials lift roadblocks in Chelan County
Law enforcement officials in Chelan County are continuing the search for triple homicide suspect Travis Decker, with hundreds of officers involved in extensive searches of nearby forests, waterways, and buildings, according to authorities. The Chelan County Sheriff's Office said investigators have searched dozens of structures and large swaths of forest in the area where Decker was last known to be. Teams have also searched the river and used information from search warrants, public tips, and surveillance video to guide their efforts. Several people called 911 to report hearing gunshots and believed the victim was outside the home, police said. When officers arrived, the suspects left the scene after the shooting. According to Kent police, a 21st birthday party was being thrown for the victim when uninvited guests showed up and were asked to leave. After an argument and altercation, shots were fired and the 21-year-old Federal Way man was shot. People inside the home took the victim to a nearby hospital in Federal Way, and he later died from his injuries. Police are still searching for the suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.
