In a move never before seen in either men's or women's cricket, all 10 batters of a team were retired out—but they still went on to win the game by a huge margin. This bizarre moment unfolded during the Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier in Bangkok. The UAE women's cricket team retired all 10 of their batters after reaching 192 for 0 in just 16 overs against Qatar.
This made cricket history as the first instance in T20s—men's or women's—of a team dismissing itself entirely by retiring out. Incredibly, the match also featured 15 ducks—eight from UAE and seven from Qatar—the most ever in a women's T20I. So, what exactly led UAE to make this decision, and what happened next?

UAE won the toss and chose to bat, with openers Esha Oza and Theertha Satish in top form. Oza smashed her third T20I century off 51 balls, finishing on 113, while Satish blasted 74 from 31 balls. The pair added 192 runs before both walked off retired out.
What followed was each batter coming to the crease, padded up, and immediately retiring out to close the innings. Although a formal declaration isn't allowed in T20Is, UAE effectively did just that. The innings was officially recorded as 192 all out—the highest all-out total in women's T20I history.

Qatar took to the chase amid all the drama, but what followed was a complete destruction of their batting lineup. Only three batters managed to score runs, with Rizpha Bano Emmanuel top-scoring with 20. After her, the next highest scorers were Angeline Mare (5 off 6) and Shahreen Bahadur (2 off 13).
Qatar got all out for just 29 in 11.1 overs, with UAE's Michelle Botha claiming 3 wickets and Katie Thompson picking up two. Heena Hotchandani, Esha Rohit Oza, Indhuja Nandakumar, and Vaishnave Mahesh each took one wicket, completing a dominant bowling performance. The entire match lasted only 27.1 overs, resulting in a colossal 163-run victory for UAE.
