M&S' 'perfect' £25 crossbody bag looks 'just like' £630 designer version

Marks and Spencer's bag looks very similar to a designer version - without the hefty price tag
Marks and Spencer is selling a crossbody bag that bears a striking resemblance to a designer version. The retailer is well known for its fashion ranges and there may be a new favourite in stock now.
The M&S Faux Leather Sling Cross-Body Bag, priced at £25, looks similar to one by designer brand TOTEME - but for a fraction of the cost. The bag is currently only available in chocolate.
Marks and Spencer also stocks the £55 Straw Shoulder Bag, and the Faux Leather Woven Shoulder Strap for £45. The retailer also has the Faux Leather Woven Clutch Bag for £35.
Alternatively, shoppers looking for a different style could opt for the Next Bone Leather Fringe Cross-Body Bag, priced at £35. New Look also has the Bright Red Quilted Faux Leather Mini Crossbody Bag for £21.99, while River Island stocks the £36 Cream Metal Handle Quilted Tote.
M&S' Faux Leather Sling Cross-Body Bag looks similar to the designer version, with matching asymmetrical shape, crossbody strap and suede-look finish. They both also feature a zip closure and gold-tone hardware.
However, there are some differences between the two. The M&S version has a slightly thicker strap, and the designer version is made with real leather and suede, while M&S' is not.
The Marks and Spencer bag has proven popular online, with many shoppers praising it in their reviews. One person said: "Lovely bag. Great bag. It's very good quality and will go with so many outfits."
A second wrote: "Perfect bag! Great bag, fits so much, easy to wear, great colour." A third shopper added: " Quality bag. Excellent bag for wandering round on holiday. Held all I needed. Excellent quality. Looks like leather."
However, some shoppers did mention some issues they'd had with the product. One person said: "This bag does look good, but it feels cheap. The faux suede material is very lightweight and just doesn't feel very nice. A return from me."
A second wrote: "Nice shape bag which can hold a fair amount keys glasses etc but feels cheap. Kept as I loved the unusual shape."
Despite this, many continued to praise the M&S bag. One shopper said: "Love this bag. Looks great and easy to wear. Nice and compact but still big enough to carry a decent amount and also has a handy zipped inner pocket."
Another added: "Perfect crossbody bag! Really lovely crossbody bag, fits just the right amount in. Really lovely material feel and comfortable to have around the neck."
While the M&S Faux Leather Sling Cross-Body Bag is priced at £25, the TOTEME Suede Shoulder Bag comes in at £630 online. This means shoppers could save around £605 by opting for the cheaper alternative.
