KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Silver Alert has been issued for an 81-year-old woman who has been reported missing in Kansas City.
Kansas City police identified the missing woman as Happy Pahia. She was last seen around 5 p.m. Thursday walking near East 79th Terrace and Grand Avenue, according to the alert shared by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Pahia is described as a white female with long gray hair and brown eyes. She is 5-feet 4-inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, turquoise pants, blue house slippers and a tan purse.
Family members told police she has been diagnosed with early onset dementia and they are concerned about her health and wellbeing.
Anyone with information is asked to call KCPD's Missing Persons Unit at 816-234-5043 or call 911.

Jared Timbrook is now recovering at home, five days after he was shot four times while responding to a domestic disturbance call. One gunshot was stopped by the officer's protective vest. Timbrook was , just 36 hours after being admitted. Lee's Summit Police Sgt. Chris Depue said Timbrook was determined to get out of bed and walk within a day of his surgery at Research Medical Center. Crews begin cleanup after tornado touches down in Independence 'We're going to be there every step of the way with him,' Depue said on Wednesday. While optimism rises at the police department, Timbrook likely has a long road to recovery ahead. Depue said Timbrook is expected to be out of work for six to eight weeks, and he'll likely perform light duty when he returns to work. 'He did tell me today that he's fighting pain. He has a hard head. He didn't want to take the hard pain medicines. We had to talk him into that,' Depue added. Thomas Tolbert, 27, and the domestic disturbance from Sunday night. KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist died from his injuries following a crash on U.S. 24 highway in Lafayette County this week, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash was reported on Monday just after 3:30 p.m. on U.S. 24 at Waterloo Road. Popular Kansas City metro artist seriously injured in Grandview crash According to a from the highway patrol, a driver in a Ford F-250 truck was trying to cross the highway and pulled out in front of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which was headed west on U.S. 24. The motorcycle then hit the truck. The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man from Bates City, was injured in the crash and taken to a hospital. He died at the hospital the next day, according to the highway patrol. The victim's name has not been released. The highway patrol is investigating the crash.
