Motorcycle crash claims life of Missouri man
ST. CLAIR CO., Mo. — A motorcycle driver is dead after a Friday night crash. Just after 7:50 pm, a 38-year-old man from Louisburg, Missouri, was driving a motorcycle on westbound Highway 54, just 5 miles west of Collins. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicle overturned off the right side of the road and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:30 p.m. by the St. Clair County Coroner, Randy Sheldon. This is Troop D's 47th fatality of the year. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Dallas County man dies in motorcycle wreck
ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Dallas County died in a single-motorcycle wreck on Friday, May 30. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, the wreck occurred at 7:51 p.m. on U.S. 54 around five miles west of Collins. A 38-year-old male — who was westbound on a 2007 Yamaha Road Warrior — overturned off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, the report says. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene by St. Clair County Coroner Randy Sheldon. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the report. The report says next of kin have been notified. Two teens die in crash with semi-truck near Rogersville
WEBSTER COUNTY, Mo. — Two teenagers are dead, and another was injured after their car was in a crash with a semi-truck just east of Rogersville at around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2008 Mercury Mariner SUV carrying three teens was traveling north on Porter Crossing Road at a median crossover with U.S. Highway 60. The driver crossed through the westbound lanes of U.S. 60 when a semi-truck struck the vehicle at the intersection, MSHP says. The crash sent the SUV off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times, totaling the vehicle. The semi-truck traveled off the right side of the roadway before coming to a stop. Springfield man charged with felony child endangerment after motorcycle crash The two passengers in the SUV, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old female from Rogersville, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and the 17-year-old driver was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with moderate injuries. Salem man dies after crashing into bridge in Shannon County
SHANNON COUNTY, Mo. — An 64-year-old man from Salem, Missouri, has died following a single-car crash in Shannon County on Wednesday. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the man was traveling north in a 2008 Toyota Yaris on Mo. 19, seventeen miles north of Eminence around 3:52 p.m. Two Springfield men win award from Domino's The report says the man's vehicle ran off the roadway and struck the south side of the Round Spring Bridge. MSHP preliminary reports indicate three fatalities over Memorial Day Weekend
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) — The Missouri State Highway Patrol released preliminary reports from the 2025 Memorial Day weekend counting period. The counting period began from 6 p.m. on Friday, May 23 and went through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 26. Three people died in traffic crashes during the counting period. Two of the fatalities occurred on Saturday, May 24 and the third one occurred on Monday, May 26. MSHP also recorded 182 traffic crashes, 83 injuries and 78 driving while intoxicated arrests- on top of the three fatalities. In terms of boating statistics, MSHP only recorded three crashes and no injuries, fatalities, drownings or boating while intoxicated arrests. During the 2024 counting period, the Patrol investigated 275 traffic crashes involving seven fatalities and 161 injuries. Also over the 2024 counting period, Marine Operations troopers investigated seven boating crashes, which included no fatalities and seven injuries. Troopers made 128 DWI arrests and six BWI arrests. No one drowned during the 2024 Memorial Day holiday. MSHP said statistics in these reports are still subject to change if late deaths occur, other departments report crashes or incidents, a fatality is determined to be a drowning or if a fatality is determined to be a medical condition following the release of the preliminary report.
