Forget Siya: Zuki Lamani flirts with Mapimpi?
Zuki Lamani – the influencer who made headlines over her 'thirsty' comments about Springbok captain Siya Kolisi – has seemingly flirted with another player, Makazole Mapimpi.
Back in 2018, Zuki was dragged on social media by Siya's then-wife, Rachel Kolisi, after she called the married player her 'celebrity crush'.
Meanwhile, Mapimpi secretly married his partner and baby mother last year.
On his TikTok account, Springbok and Sharks player Makazole Mapimpi posted his first 'GRWM' [Get ready with me] video, with a look at his outfit for the day.
The trendy rugby player wore a black blazer, a funky yellow print tie, and wide-legged jeans.
The married star had his followers enamoured with his venture into fashion and his take on being an 'influencer'. Naturally, the clip attracted much attention from Mapimpi's many female fans.
Fellow social media star Zuki Lamani was one of them, commenting: 'Love it', alongside a heart emoji.
It would be the first time Zuki has commented about a national rugby player.
In 2018, she posted pictures on her Instagram account of her meeting Siya Kolisi on the set of a photoshoot. In the pic, the duo shared a cosy embrace.
'That Kolisi glow,' Zuki gushed over the married Springbok. In another, Zuku claimed that Siya had flirted back.
She captioned one IG Story: 'So ubaby (Siya Kolisi) said 'dammit' when I was taking these shots. Then offered to take pictures of me with my phone while I do the shoot'.
The pics quickly went viral but for all the wrong reasons. Zuki – who admitted that Siya was her celebrity crush – was indirectly labelled 'thirsty' by his wife Rachel, who left a comment under the post.
Zuki Lamani is not the only celebrity to gush over Makazole Mapimpi. Earlier this year, chef and TV personality Lorna Maseko publicly drooled over the player in another outfit of the day TikTok.
Jumping into the comments, Lorna posted: 'Dear God! What must happen!', with both a heart and a flame emoji.
Lorna also crossed paths with Siya Kolisi's then-wife, Rachel Kolisi, who called out the former for allegedly encouraging her friend to date a married man, ie the Springboks captain.
Rachel tweeted at the time: 'I watched a local TV show last week where a local 'celeb' was encouraging her friend to 'go after/date/hook up' with Siya Kolisi. Had to rewind a few times to make sure I heard right.'
While Rachel did not name her, Twitter detectives dug up the clip in question from the reality TV show Being Bonang.

Shaka iLembe returns with fierce battles, royal intrigue, and tender romance
After a breathtaking debut that thrilled millions across the country, Shaka iLembe is back, and this time, the stakes are higher, the drama gets deeper, and the legacy even more powerful. The highly anticipated second season of the hit Mzansi Magic series picks up where the first left off: with Shaka no longer just the child of prophecy, but now stepping into his destiny as a leader and military strategist. While the first season explored Shaka's birth, his trials, and the ancestral forces that shaped him, the second season shifts the lens toward his rise as the legendary founder of the Zulu kingdom. Also read: 'A Queen's Lobola' sweeps awards season, bringing home top honours Lemogang Tsipa portrays the adult King Shaka, while Ntando Zondi plays the younger version of the future Zulu king. Tsipa said there was a lot to expect in this second series – power struggles, intense political manoeuvres, fierce battles, and yes, a few steamy romantic moments that show a different side of the man behind the legend. Yet at its heart, the series remains deeply rooted in historical truth, offering a visually stunning and culturally rich retelling of the Zulu kingdom's formation. Asked how he found portraying the transition of Shaka becoming king in the second series, Tsipe said, 'It is a natural progression. For me, it was a surreal kind of experience because it's one of those things where you dream as a person and then pursue that dream. Before Shaka was born, and this [to be king] was supposed to be his destiny, so I think it's a beautiful moment to be able to walk the journey from the start to the fulfillment of what he wanted. A side that he is a bit more tender and romantic.' Wiseman Mncube portrays the late King Zwide KaLanga, a very intense character who is always eager for war. Mncube said tapping into KaLanga's spirit as a character was not easy. 'I always trust myself in anything that I do. Because it is a historical show, obviously we have to research, learn about AboZwide, and ask a lot of questions. So I just told myself, I'll just trust myself, and the script that was given.' The 'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)' hitmaker was sentenced on Wednesday, June 11, after he pleaded guilty to charges related to his cousin's death. The plea deal also included guilty pleas to aggravated assault, firearm possession during a crime, and concealing a death, while a murder charge was dismissed due to the plea agreement. It is reported that one of Rooks' family members claimed the victim was last seen with Hawk, who had picked him up from a friend's home in a white SUV. According to prosecutors, after the rapper's arrest, he admitted to shooting his cousin, Rooks. Additionally, bullet casings found at the scene were reportedly matched to a gun discovered on the rapper at the time of his arrest. Hawk had a prior history of run-ins with the law. In 2020, he was arrested in DeKalb County for speeding. Additionally, he faced charges in a separate incident in Los Angeles for attempting to strike two people with an axe in their home. The 27-year-old rapper, singer, and songwriter gained popularity in 2015 with his viral debut single 'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)'. He was 17 when he released the catchy song that was shortly followed by a colourful music video with the famous 'Nae Nae' dance moves that shot the song to hit status, topping the Billboard Hot 100 US charts at number 3 and earning him a record deal.

Neimil talks South African fashion on the padel court
Neimil has long been a South African brand that has celebrated heritage and culture through fashion and homeware design. Founded by creative powerhouses Keneilwe Mothoa and Lubabalo Mxalisa, Neimil has become a platform for their shared passion for design and photography. For their latest drop in partnership with the Stella Artois Racquet Club, we speak to Mothoa about what was behind this new partnership and the inspiration for their sporty new designs. 1. What was your initial reaction to collaborating with Stella Artois on a fashion capsule? I was excited that this partnership has grown to this extent and happy that I was given the freedom to express myself fully without any limitations. 2. Neimil has quite a minimal approach with a contemporary South African feel, how did you incorporate that aesthetic into the collection? Tennis/padel for me is not only a sport but a lifestyle and that was my initial thought process when designing the capsule. The aesthetic of the sport is minimalist, there is an ease about the silhouettes and fabric selection and to marry the Neimil aesthetic was effortless because there are elements in our design language that work, like the pleating, colour palette, layers, textures and easy silhouettes. 3. What were some of your favourite items to see come to life? I love everything (laughs) but if I had to pick, I'd say the hi-low red mini skirt and the pleated asymmetrical print skirt. This is the first time ever doing a print, but it just came out so beautifully and this is something we will explore. 4. Fabric options and sustainable sourcing are often a concern for many when collaboration pieces are dropped. Was this taken into consideration for this? Yes, sustainable sourcing was a key consideration. At Neimil we focus on sourcing locally and working with ethical suppliers. We aim to minimise environmental impact by carefully selecting fabrics that last beyond the season while also celebrating African craftsmanship and responsible design choices. 5. What are three styling tips you can share with fashionistas planning on giving the perfect serve? Don't overthink your style choices. Style is personal and you should explore that. Layering goes a long way and can add visual interest to your look. The 'mini'er' the skirt the better the serve!
