Nawazuddin Siddiqui calls actors 'bhands', says fine with dancing at weddings
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently shared his honest opinion about actors and how society sees them. In a recent interview, the 'Sacred Games' actor said he doesn't see anything wrong with actors dancing at weddings or private events for big money. In fact, he said he would do the same if he got the chance. When asked if he would dance at a wedding if given the chance on All About Eve YouTube channel, he replied, 'Yes, why not? What's wrong with it? It's a part of our profession; people complain that actors dance at weddings, but what's the problem? At the end of the day, we are all 'bhands' (entertainers). Did you know that in the past, 'bhands' wouldn't be allowed to mingle in polite society? They were seen as unfit; they were seen as people who didn't have any ideologies or beliefs, bad influences. They were kept in tents outside villages. They would only be allowed to enter to perform, and then they'd be sent right back out.'advertisementOther Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar have also spoken about this. On the show, 'Koffee with Karan', Akshay joked that Ranveer keeps dancing at weddings so much that even the bride and groom have to wait for him to stop. Ranveer said he learned this from Akshay, who once told him, 'Shaadi hai, main naach raha hoon; birthday hai, main naach raha hoon; mundan hai, bachcha ro raha hai, main naach raha Hoon (It's a wedding, I'm dancing; it's a birthday, I'm dancing; it's a munda ceremony, the child is crying, I'm dancing).'
On the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was last seen in the biographical crime drama 'Costao'. He plays the role of Coatao Fernandes, A Goa-based customs officer who risked everything to dismantle a gold smuggling ring. After Aamir Khan, Rajpal Yadav gets real about nepotism in Bollywood: ‘Main to ek ko bhi nahi...'
The debate around nepotism has always been constant, with every individual having their own take on it. After Aamir Khan, the latest one to join the discussion is none other than Rajpal Yadav, who mentioned that nepotism doesn't only exist. He went on to name the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and more to elucidate his point. In a recent interaction with ANI, Rajpal Yadav claimed that there is 'no nepotism' in the industry. He stated that he would like to speak 'honestly' about it. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor stated that if there was nepotism, then there wouldn't have been Shah Rukh Khan, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Johny Lever, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, and Dharmendra. He stated that it was his desire to join Bollywood or theater, and nobody in his family insisted on him to do that. The actor revealed that he has also told his kids that no one can make anyone's career in sports and cinema. According to him, it is only one's good person sitting within them that tells him if they are capable of doing it. Rajpal believes even if he pushes anyone, he can't prevent the debacles they would face later in life. The De Dana Dan actor acknowledges that an individual would get an opportunity for the first time, but whether he will succeed or has that energy is decided by the Almighty or the audience, emphasizing that there is no nepotism. "I have been acting for 38 years now. And I have at least 200 relatives. Mai to ek ko bhi nahin karva blessings apni apni.. mehnat apni hai (I haven't been able to get them work here. It is blessings, hard work), and finally it is the audience who decides," he further added. In another interview with Raj Shamani, Aamir Khan also addressed the nepotism debate, stating that he has neither interfered in his son Junaid Khan's career nor will he ever do that in the future. The veteran actor also claimed that no one can uplift anyone's career in the acting industry. On the professional front, Yadav is currently enjoying the release of his movie, Interrogation, on Zee 5.

Take a tour inside Nawazuddin Siddiqui's glamorous Bungalow in Mumbai
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of Bollywood's most critically acclaimed actors and a household name. The versatile actor has successfully touched the hearts of both the public and critics with the poignant and compelling characters he portrays. The sky's the limit for his progressing career. However, it was not always the case. The Manto actor had a rather humble upbringing. His residence in Mumbai stands as a stark reminder that success comes to those who remain persistent. Nawaz is humble and true to his craft, a quality that is brightly reflected in every conversation he holds. Let's take a look at his house and how Nawaz has embraced minimalism in decorating his abode. Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Dream Nest Is a Fusion Between Modern And Vintage Architecture Staying true to its name, the house gives glimpses of the Nawabi architecture with its sun-kissed patio, hardwood stairs, white marble exterior, and opulent motif. Nawaz wanted a space with a cozy and homely vibe where he could take a step back and relax. The entrance features a wooden French door. The hall is adorned with a wooden billiard table and posters of famous plays by Moliere and Shakespeare at every corner. The inspiration behind this is the corridor of the National School of Drama. There is also a tiny bar in one corner with a sitting area for guests. Nawaz mentions that he loves to experiment with different aesthetics and colors. The cosmopolitan ambiance of the house aligns with the actor's deep understanding of interior planning. One of the main attractions of his home is the hall upstairs, where he relaxes and watches films. He decided to install big windows so he wouldn't feel suffocated. The room leads you to a small balcony, which is surrounded by Jali carving white marble railings. Lush greenery graces the area and fills it with serenity. He then escorts us to his makeup room, whose big attraction is a gigantic Hollywood-style wooden vanity mirror. Next, Nawaz invites the viewers to his terrace, which serves as an escape from the noise of the city. He spends most of his evenings there, chatting with his peers. According to the actor, his bedroom is the smallest room in the house. He jokingly mentions that he wants to stay true to his roots. With minimal furnishing, the room is stylishly decorated with a poster and a few planters. The next visit is to another hall, which Nawaz calls the busiest corner of the house. He has decorated the walls with posters of some of the most notable plays and playwrights. Nawaz lovingly christened his residence 'Nawab' as a homage to his father, who had a significant impact on his life. Not just a structure of bricks and stones, Nawaz wanted a memoir of his childhood home in Uttar Pradesh. He wanted a space where time stood still. That is why he curated the house in a way that takes him on a stroll down memory lane. Nawab, nestled in Mumbai's Versova, is where luxury meets sophistication. He has embellished every corner of the house with ornaments that hold deep value to him.
