Diddy trial update: Cassie sobs on stand as her testimony concludes
After the first week of testimony Sean "Diddy" Combs' trial, Cassie's time on the stand ends following harrowing testimony on Combs' alleged abuse.
Misa Hylton is speaking out to explain her attendance at ex-partner Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex-crimes trial.
In an Instagram post on May 17, the fashion designer told followers that she turned out for the embattled rapper's federal trial in support of the son they share together, 31-year-old Justin Combs.
Hylton, who has been using a walker due to an injury, wrote, "When I suffered my injury I had chosen to heal privately but when my son said 'Mommy I need you' I was right there for him walker and all. I'm a MOTHER FIRST, FOR REAL and I am my son's strength and thats just what it is. Plain and Simple."
She continued, "Whoever doesn't understand that just simply isn't in alignment with me or anything that I'm about in life. I'm cool with that. I have a purpose filled life that I live daily. I make impact. I'm not concerned with insecure people attempting to project their insecurities on to me. EVER."

Hylton and Combs welcomed their only child together, Justin Combs, in 1993. The rapper also has six other kids, whom he shares with Kim Porter, Sarah Chapman and Dana Tran.
A lawyer for Hylton previously told USA TODAY that her "attendance at Mr. Combs' trial is strictly in support of her son Justin and his siblings," adding, "During the course of these allegations against Mr. Combs, it has proven to be a very challenging and difficult time for all involved especially his children."

Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. During the first week of testimony in the trial, Combs' ex-girlfriend Casandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine accused him of abuse on the stand over the course of several days.
Hylton previously spoke out to support Ventura Fine after video surfaced showing Combs assaulting Cassie at a hotel. In a since-deleted Instagram post, Hylton said she was "heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her," adding, "I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma."

Seth Meyers' Beloved Dog Frisbee Dies – Sarah Paulson & More Pay Tribute
Seth Meyers is mourning the loss of one of his most famous — and most adorable — family members. The late-night host announced via Instagram on Tuesday, August 19, that his dog, Frisbee, had died at the age of 14. 'RIP to Frisbee, our OG IG who I was happy to go grey with,' he captioned photos of himself and his pet from over the years. 'She was at her best curled in your lap and patient when we dressed her up like a pilgrim. Thanks for 14 amazing years, girl.' The first slide of Meyers' Instagram carousel featured a sweet selfie of Frisbee licking his face, followed by a photo of Frisbee as a puppy and more pics of his beloved pet. Several celebrities and fans offered their condolences in the post's comments. 'Noooo! Frisbeeee! sorry for your loss. ,' wrote Rachel Dratch, while Retta commented, 'Awwww Frisbeeeeeee. .' Sarah Paulson posted, 'Oh Seth!!! Darlingest of the darling dogs. Sending you all my love.' Alyssa Milano called losing a pet the 'worst pain ever,' adding, 'I'm sorry for your loss.' Other users were quick to point out Frisbee's long-standing feud with Andy Samberg, who infamously expressed his dislike of Meyers' dog over the years. 'May her ghost haunt Andy Samberg forever ,' one user quipped, while more pointed out that news of Frisbee's death came one day after Samberg's birthday. 'So glad Frisbee stole Andy's birthday shine. ,' a different user joked. Meyers brought up his dog in conversation on Late Night with Seth Meyers many times over the years, particularly any time Samberg was a guest on the show. Meyers brought his dog on camera during a July 2020 virtual interview with Samberg on the show, during which Frisbee hid her face in his shoulder. 'Look how much she hates you. She hates you so much,' Meyers quipped. Samberg went on to say, 'Frisbee, I just want to say, it's all in good fun. You're a good dog,' all while holding a sticky note which read, 'Frisbee sucks.' Samberg roasted Frisbee again during a March 2023 episode of Late Night. 'Seth's nightmare-inducing hell spawn Frisbee continues to maintain its identity as a dog when it's clearly some sort of rat-foreskin hybrid,' he joked of the Italian Greyhound. Last month, Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers tried to prank Samberg into believing Frisbee had died on an episode of her Good Hang podcast. 'I invite you to say, 'I asked Seth for a question, but he couldn't talk today 'cause his dog just died,' and just see if he has any reaction,' Meyers told Poehler ahead of her interview with Samberg. NBC During their conversation, Poehler pretended to tell Samberg that 'Frisbee died.' The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star, however, didn't buy it. 'Don't even play 'cause I'll be so happy,' Samberg replied, prompting laughter from himself and Poehler. 'I will never back off that. That dog sucks, dude.' Samberg has not publicly addressed Frisbee's death. Solve the daily Crossword

Husband witnesses wife's killer be executed 43 years after her death: ‘I made a promise'
A grieving husband witnessed the Tuesday execution of the man who abducted and killed his wife from a Florida insurance office over four decades ago — stating he 'made a promise' to see her tragic case through. Randy White, 70, lost his wife, Janet Renee White, after she was abducted, raped, and stabbed to death by Kayle Bates in 1982 — just minutes after he last said goodbye to her, USA Today reported. 3 Randy White, 70, lost his wife, Janet Renee White, after she was abducted by Kayle Bates in 1982. The attack happened just minutes after he last said goodbye to her. Randy White Advertisement Bates, 67, died by lethal injection at 6:17 p.m. Tuesday at Florida State Prison under a death warrant signed by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. It was the state's 10th death sentence carried out in 2025. The execution gave the widower long-awaited relief that he had finally reached the end of a nearly 43-year battle for justice in his wife's killing. 'I made a promise to her right after it happened that I would be there for every trial, every hearing, every appeal, and that as long as I was living, I would seek justice for her,' White told the outlet after the execution. Advertisement He was only 27 when he lost his wife, who was the youngest of five siblings and always dreamed of having kids and her own business, the outlet reported. 'I feel a relief that I can mentally let Renee know that justice has finally been served for her, and that's mentally what I need. It's always been for her,' he said. 3 When police arrived after the abduction, they found Bates covered in blood with her wedding ring in his pocket. AP Bates was convicted of first-degree murder, kidnapping, armed robbery, and attempted sexual battery in the June 14, 1982 killing of Janet White in Bay County in the Florida Panhandle. Advertisement Bates abducted White from the State Farm insurance office where she worked, took her into the woods behind the building, attempted to rape her, stabbed her to death, and tore a diamond ring from one of her fingers, according to court documents. 'Bates attacked her, but Renee fought back,' according to court records obtained by the outlet. 'Despite her best efforts, Bates overpowered Renee and forced her into the woods behind the office.' Within 15 minutes of saying goodbye to Renee, he got a call from the authorities about an emergency at her office. 'He looked at me and said, 'Mr. White, I don't know any easy way to say this … but your wife's been murdered,'' White remembered. 'I completely lost it.' Advertisement When police arrived, they found Bates covered in blood with her wedding ring in his pocket, documents showed. Attorneys for Bates had filed appeals with the Florida Supreme Court and the US Supreme Court, as well as a federal lawsuit claiming DeSantis' process for signing death warrants was discriminatory. 3 Randy White was only 27 when he lost his wife, who was the youngest of five siblings and always dreamed of having kids and her own business. Family Handout Veterans groups had also asked the Florida Gov to spare Bates from the death penalty because of his six-year military service in the National Guard, the outlet reported. Florida has executed more people than any other state this year, while Texas and South Carolina are tied for second place with four each. Bates declined to give last words at his execution and turned down his last meal, the outlet said. Florida executions are carried out using a three-drug lethal injection: a sedative, a paralytic, and a drug that stops the heart, according to the state Department of Corrections. Advertisement White described the execution as 'straightforward and quick.' With Post wires.
