Yahoo05-05-2025
At long last, the Shaw siblings are reuniting on Tracker! And fans of Melissa Roxburgh won't want to miss a moment of Dory's return.
The official synopsis for Tracker Season 2, Episode 19, 'Rules of the Game' is as follows: 'When Reenie's (Fiona Rene) client, Leo Sharf (recurring guest star Pej Vahdat), hires Colter to track down his missing assistant before his company launch, the case takes a personal turn and Reenie becomes entangled in a deadly vendetta threatening both of their lives.'
Written by Sharon Lee Watson & Dominique A. Holmes and directed by Nimisha Mukerji, Tracker Season 2, Episode 19 not only sees the return of Vahdat as Leo, but the series welcomes back Roxburgh as Dory Shaw. Woo!!!!
When Decider spoke with Roxburgh back in February, The Hunting Party star said she was 'pretty sure' she'd be returning to Tracker at some point and would love to team up with Colter and their brother Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles) at some point, too.
'I think that'd be so fun, because actually one of my first roles was on Supernatural working with Jensen,' Roxburgh said, referencing her two episodes on the long-running WB series. 'So now that some time passed, I think it'd be fun to work together again.'
While it looks as though we may have to wait a bit longer to get the whole Shaw crew together, here's when fans can watch Colter's upcoming next adventure and his reunion with Dory.

Why Fred Savage thought ‘Wonder Years' guest star Alicia Silverstone once gave him a fake phone number

Alicia Silverstone has a funny story about her time guest-starring on 'The Wonder Years' more than 30 years ago. During a new interview with Entertainment Weekly published Friday, Aug. 15, the 'Clueless' actress explained why the show's star, Fred Savage, thought she gave him a fake phone number after they first met on set in 1992. 'Fred Savage's character asks me on a date and I say, 'Pick me up at seven,' or something,' Silverstone began. 'And that's what makes him decide he needs to get on it and learn how to drive.' 9 Alicia Silverstone at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on February 8, 2024. 'Fred asked me for my number, which was really sweet, because I was 14,' Silverstone continued. 'My home phone number was also a fax machine of my dad's work.' 'So he had tried calling that a few times, and it just went straight to fax,' she laughed. 'So he thought I gave him a fake number or something.' 9 Alicia Silverstone and Fred Savage during Season 5 Episode 11 of 'The Wonder Years.' Meanwhile, Savage was not the only 'The Wonder Years' actor Silverstone hit it off with during her one-episode appearance on the show. She and Josh Saviano, who portrayed Kevin's best friend, Paul Pfeiffer, on all six seasons of the ABC coming-of-age comedy, also became 'very good friends.' 9 Alicia Silverstone in 1995. ©Paramount/Courtesy Everett Collection 9 Fred Savage at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills, California, on January 13, 2010. Elsewhere during her interview with the outlet, the 'Blast From the Past' star discussed Peacock's upcoming 'Clueless' reboot series. Although Silverstone admitted that she 'never thought' about doing a revival of the 1995 classic, she is confident the new show will 'honor' the original movie. 9 Alicia Silverstone on the poster for 'Clueless' in 1995. ©Paramount 9 Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz in 'Clueless.' ©Paramount/Courtesy Everett Collection 'It's very early stages,' she shared. 'I'm obviously excited. I never thought that was something that I would ever do because I wouldn't wanna mess up this thing that we all love so much.' 'We will do our very best to honor the original movie that we love and also bring something new to it,' Silverstone added. 'That's the goal, and I believe we will execute that goal.' 'I can't wait to step back into Cher's skin and her fancy designer shoes that will be gently used, of course, duh, because she's evolved,' Silvertone, who is serving as an executive producer, told Entertainment Weekly. 'This is 2025, she's not wearing the new stuff unless it's sustainable or vegan,' she added. 'We'll have to see how far we can go with that.'

‘Stranger Things' Creators are Jumping Ship to Paramount

By the time Stranger Things wraps at year's end, creators Matt and Ross Duffer will have taken their talents over to Paramount. Days ago, reports began to surface alleging the two brothers were potentially looking to leave the streamer to make film and TV for the Mission: Impossible studio. Now, it's official: per industry journalist Matt Belloni, the Duffers will be over at Paramount going forward. Their decision apparently came down to the theaters; the brothers wanted their films to hit the big screen, which Netflix isn't really keen on doing unless said film could be a potential Oscar winner, high-profile directors really fight for it, or it gets so popular that they may as well come to theaters. To date, the brothers have only released one film, the 2015 psychological thriller Hidden. With the Duffers gone, this marks Netflix's first big talent shakeup in the wake of the recent, equally big acquisition of Paramount by longtime partner Skydance. According to Variety, the duo's future output will emphasize tentpole movies, which is typically the studio's bread and butter. Despite the move, they'll still have a presence at Netflix for a while: their production company, Upside Down Productions, is working on an animated Stranger Things prequel Tales of 85 due 2026 and a second unannounced spinoff. There's also the non-Stranger series The Boroughs and Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, which they're executive producing and will also arrive in 2026. As for the core Stranger Things show, it releases in three parts on November 26, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve. Want more io9 news? ‘South Park' to Take on ICE in New Episode

CBS and its owner Paramount may given in to the Trump administration's demands, but South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone — who just inked a reported $1.5 billion deal with the studio — are not following suit. The first episode of the wildly popular animated series 27th season savaged President Donald Trump by putting him in a deteriorating romantic relationship with Satan — who the creators previously paired with Saddam Hussein — and endowing the president with a miniscule manhood. And the show's continuing to poke at the twice-impeached commander in chief, his policies and supporters. The teaser once again depicts the president with reluctant lover Satan, but this time also involves ICE as well as a woman who appears to be Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Comedy Central revealed on Tuesday (Aug. 5) that the episode is titled 'Got a Nut,' with the description explaining that Mr. Mackay — South Park Elementary's counselor — has lost his job and is 'desperately' trying to 'find a new way to make a living.' (That's him pulling up his face mask while in what appears to be an ICE truck in the promo.) One of the images released from the episode Tuesday also shows a gun-toting woman resembling Noem in an ICE vest. The cable and streaming network also reported that the first episode of season 27, 'Sermon on the 'Mount' — which ended with an internet-breaking PSA of Trump trudging across a desert — was the top telecast across all cable, racked up its biggest season premiere share on Comedy Central since 1999, up +68% vs. last season's first episode, attracted nearly 6 million cross-platform viewers across Paramount+ and Comedy Central and trended on X for over 12 hours, five of them at No. 1. The Trump White House slammed the South Park season 27 premiere the day after it aired. 'The Left's hypocrisy truly has no end – for years they have come after South Park for what they labeled as 'offense' [sic] content, but suddenly they are praising the show,' spokesperson Taylor Rogers said in a statement to Variety, claiming that the long-running animated comedy continues to 'hit record lows' and that it 'hasn't been relevant in 20 years.' Parker and Stone's production company, Park County, is also slated to release, Like That, a live-action movie starring rap superstar Kendrick Lamar in March 2026. South Park airs Wednesdays on Comedy Central at 10 p.m. ET, and streams on Paramount+ the next day.
