Marc Jacobs wants romance. But in Jacobs's world, romance doesn't mean fluffy florals, a hand graze, or a yearning stare. For 2026, romance is about adding levity, 'soft chaos,' and most importantly, valuing unique identities. This Jacobs-specific version came through in the beauty looks created by Pat McGrath and Duffy for the designer's runway show at the New York Public Library last night.
'Marc was obsessed with simple, absolute beauty,' McGrath said backstage. 'We used sheer blush, clumpy lashes, and subtle, powdery washes of baby blue or baby lilac on the lids. It's a nod to classic cosmetics imagery, but seen through Marc's lens, where romanticism meets rebellion. It's modern romanticism, a kind of soft chaos that's utterly captivating.' To help each model's natural features radiate, McGrath treated every face like a fresh canvas, infusing each with a youthful glow, a modern edge, and a touch of 'rawness.' This contrast created fresh, luminous looks for each model.
They appeared as if they had just run through a meadow to meet their first love. They looked like they were flushed from being noticed by a crush. They were romance personified. McGrath called it 'poetic.' Though the looks for all 19 models were slightly different, they were cohesive—dewy skin, bright inner corners, and lots of blush. Each model had a playful, cherubic end result.
'We did FetishEYES Mascara on top and bottom of the lashes, soft contouring, and our gorgeous Glow Balms on the cheeks,' McGrath explained. From there, she mixed Legendary Long-Wear Lip Liners in the shades Contour and Rebel Rose, then blotted them to create a blurred-out, bitten lip.
For the hair, uniqueness reigned—Duffy even went so far as to call his creations an 'army of individuality,' but with romantic elements to tie into Jacobs's vision. Duffy played with classic beauty, using roller sets, big hair accessories like bow accents, and braids to create undone waves and lots of length. At another show, these elements might have looked overplayed. 'In Marc's world, it doesn't look so classic,' Duffy said.
All of this together served romance, with a modern twist. It's a nice reminder that the most loving gesture might be celebrating individuality—though a healthy dusting of blush never hurts.

How Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge Hard-Launched Their Romance on Instagram After Glastonbury

THE RUNDOWN Gracie Abrams isn't the only Glastonbury performer to make things very Instagram official with her partner after the British music festival. Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge also hard-launched their relationship on the social media platform with some photos, videos, and a little flirting in the comments. Rodrigo shared multiple clips of them together in a Glastonbury recap carousel—and Partridge liked the post: While Rodrigo has previously shared photos of Partridge on Instagram, she never showed his face. But in the eighth slide of her Glastonbury post, she appears on his shoulders, watching another set. He also is part of the group spraying her with champagne in the second slide: Partridge, for his part, was less subtle. He posted an Instagram tribute to Rodrigo after her performance, marking his first grid post about her. He wrote, 'I hope you caught Olivia's show last night. A truly special performance on such a huge scale. She worked her ass off for it and couldn't be more deserving of all her success and for the great crowd that was watching. What a moment #glastonberry🍓❤️❤️❤️' Rodrigo replied, 'glastonBERRY ilysm😭😭😭' Partridge was just as adoring on Rodrigo's Instagram. In a post she shared yesterday about Glastonbury, he commented, 'Ur the best ❤️🍓' Rodrigo and Partridge were first romantically linked in October 2023. They went to this year's Grammys together in one of their biggest red carpet appearances to date. Last fall, Partridge spoke to ELLE about being a Golden Retriever boyfriend. 'I think in past relationships my mind worked at a different speed to the women I've known,' he admitted. 'A bit slower. The way I would characterize it is like a Golden Retriever and a black cat. I can imagine being happy sitting and catching a Frisbee.' He also credited Rodrigo for expanding his music taste: 'My girlfriend has been trying to get me into more pop recently—Chappell Roan has been on repeat,' he said.

Jennette McCurdy's Memoir 'I'm Glad My Mom Died' Is Being Adapted for TV, Starring Jennifer Aniston

Every item on this page was chosen by an ELLE editor. We may earn commission on some of the items you choose to buy. Jennette McCurdy is bringing her life story to the small screen. Her 2022 bestselling memoir, I'm Glad My Mom Died, is being adapted for television by Apple TV+, and a big name has already been cast. Here's everything we know so far about the forthcoming drama-comedy series. McCurdy's memoir details her traumatic childhood at the hands of her abusive mother. She also writes about her tumultuous experience being a child star on Nickelodeon's iCarly and Sam & Cat. The official logline says that the show, which is inspired by the memoir, is a 'heartbreaking and hilarious recounting of Jennette McCurdy's struggles as a former child actor while dealing with her overbearing, domineering mother. The dramedy will center on the codependent relationship between an 18-year-old actress in a hit kids' show, and her narcissistic mother who relishes in her identity as 'a starlet's mother.'' McCurdy will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer for the series, along with Ari Katcher (Ramy, The Jerrod Carmichael Show). Carmichael, Jennifer Aniston, and Margot Robbie's LuckyChap will also executive produce. In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, McCurdy spoke about the types of projects she wants to make. 'Anything that I want to associate myself with would cover the full colorfulness of what it means to be a person—the funny, the sad, oftentimes the funny and the sad happening at the same time in the same room. Anything where the humor comes from a grounded place, a place of character flaw, a place of best intentions gone awry. Humor that comes from humanity is sort of my mission. So if there's anything that fits that, that would be my dream to be a part of.' Jennifer Aniston will play McCurdy's mother, Debra. Other casting news has yet to be announced. The series will have 10 episodes. This story will be updated.

Julia Fox Pairs a Plunging Bubble Dress With Cartoonish Pumps Extending Far Beyond Her Feet

Julia Fox wore a delightfully weird outfit to the Marc Jacobs Fall 2025 fashion show. Her shoes extended far beyond her feet, making for a cartoonish silhouette. The Uncut Gems actress is known for her eccentric fashion Fox is taking her legendary eccentricity to a new level this month with yet another outfit that's giving one word: weird. Stepping out for the Marc Jacobs Fall 2025 show at the New York Public Library on Tuesday, July 1, the Presence actress sported a voluminous bubble dress, courtesy of the brand, and one very interesting pair of shoes. The shoes in question—a pair of light pink satin pumps—appeared to extend far beyond Fox's feet, making for a cartoonish silhouette. The heels were also designed by Jacobs and came straight from his Fall 2025 collection; however, Fox's were rendered in an exclusive, unreleased colorway. A small leather bag completed the rather wacky ensemble. Fox is no stranger to unconventional outfits, of course. The model has established herself as one of fashion's most daring devotees, and regularly appears on the red carpet in barely-there ensembles, huge hats, and makeup and hair looks that render her genuinely unrecognizable. The Uncut Gems star said it best herself during a guest judging stint on Project Runway: "I'm not going for sexy. I'm going for unhinged." Fox's recent appearance at the Fashion Trust Awards was perhaps her most shocking to date. The actress embraced what can only be called clowncore in a full face of white makeup, a floral Marni dress, and an extremely oversized black hat. One week later, she pivoted back to a more revealing ensemble when she stepped out for her first-ever DJ set in buttless underwear and a matching bustier bra. The occasion? Cultured Magazine's Cult100 party, hosted at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City. Read the original article on InStyle
