3 Key takeaways from Colts' training camp practice No. 11: Anthony Richardson bounces back
The Indianapolis Colts wrapped up training camp practice No. 11 on Sunday. They will have one last practice on Monday before Green Bay comes to town for a joint practice.
But before we look ahead to what's next, let's take a look back at what took place on Sunday with three key takeaways.
Anthony Richardson bounces back
On Saturday, the offense worked in the red zone, and it was a particularly rough showing for Richardson. He would finish the 11-on-11 periods that day, completing just 1-of-6 passes.
However, on Sunday, he was able to bounce back. According to Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan, Richardson was 11-of-16 during the 11-on-11 periods.
"It was one of the most check down/running back specific throwing days I can recall from the young signal caller," wrote Bowen.
Bad days are going to happen in the NFL. so being able to rebound is a must, and Richardson was able to do that.
Bowen noted that Daniel Jones was 2-of-7 passing to begin practice in a session where the Colts were trying to push the ball downfield. He finished the day 9-of-16 overall.
Shane Steichen names the Colts' starting QB vs. Green Bay
Daniel Jones will start against the Packers. This was the plan prior to the preseason starting, but the playing time will be altered.
After Richardson's outing against Baltimore was cut short and Jones saw 31 plays on offense, Jones will play a couple of series before Richardson takes over for the remainder of the first half. That way, over the two-game sample size, both quarterbacks will have roughly the same number of opportunities.
More injuries for the Colts
Not practicing on Sunday were safety Nick Cross and defensive end Kwity Paye. Cross is working through a hip flexor injury, and Paye has a groin injury.
During practice, cornerback Kenny Moore would drop out with a right knee injury, and so would Alec Pierce with a groin injury.
As Nate Atkins of the Indy Star reported, there isn't any real indication of how serious any of these injuries are.
Jaylon Jones and JuJu Brents both remain sidelined with hamstring injuries.

Packers sign former top-100 pick
On Monday, the Green Bay Packers brought in three running backs, Tyrion Davis-Price, Micah Bernard and Kylin James, for workouts. The Packers made the decision to add Davis-Price, who is in practice in Green Bay on Tuesday, amid some injury questions at the position. Emanuel Wilson and MarShawn Lloyd only returned to practice on Monday from prior injuries, which means they might not be fully recovered in time for the joint practice or preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts this week. On top of that, Jalen White was injured in the Packers' preseason opener against the New York Jets, and Israel Abanikanda injured his hamstring in practice on Monday. So, Green Bay's only fully-healthy running backs right now are Josh Jacobs, who the team is hoping to rest in this week's preseason game, Chris Brooks, Amar Johnson and now Davis-Price. Hence, the signing. Davis-Price is a very interesting prospect. During the draft process, he was considered to be a borderline draftable player. Instead, the San Francisco 49ers took him in the top-100 selections of the 2023 draft, only to trade for Christian McCaffrey in October of Davis-Price's rookie year. The LSU product, who was the number two back on the national title team and then developed into a two-year starter after that, has played eight total regular-season games over three seasons with the 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles. He's turned 43 carries into 127 yards (3.0 yards per carry) and hasn't scored a touchdown yet. He also has not caught a ball at the NFL level. Despite going into his fourth professional season, though, Davis-Price is only 24 years old. Depending on the status of Wilson, Lloyd and Abanikanda, we could see a lot from Davis-Price against the Colts on Saturday.

US track star Sha'Carri Richardson apologizes to Christian Coleman after arrest
U.S. track and field star Sha'Carri Richardson publicly apologized to Christian Coleman after she was arrested at the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, last month for domestic violence. "I apologize to Christian. He came into my life and gave me more than a relationship but a greater understanding of unconditional love from what I've experienced in my past. Due to past trauma and pain," Richardson wrote on Instagram. "I was blind and blocked off to not only receive it but give it. I love him and to him I can't apologize enough. My apologize (sic) should be just as loud as my actions honestly louder. To Christian I love you and I am so sorry." Police say Coleman was the victim in the incident, according to the police report obtained by USA TODAY Sports.. Coleman told reporters at the U.S. Track and Field Championships that he forgave Richardson for the incident. "For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round," Coleman said Sunday. "I don't feel like she should have been arrested. I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody. But I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love." Richardson and Coleman both competed at the U.S. Track and Field Championships following her arrest. Follow USA TODAY Sports' Tyler Dragon on X @TheTylerDragon.
