Julia Lemigova clarifies her stance on trans rights following Martina Navratilova's comments

Julia Lemigova is clearing the air. Season seven of The Real Housewives of Miami has sent shockwaves through the Bravo universe as fans watch the shifting dynamics between the ladies. Besides the feuds intensifying every episode, Lemigova has showcased proud LGBTQ+ representation by adopting two young boys with her wife Martina Navratilova. Navratilova has made headlines for transphobic statements over the past few years, but Lemigova says she's happy to showcase queer love on a major platform such as RHOM. In fact, RuPaul's Drag Race legend Carmen Carrera opened up on her trans identity with Lemigova on a recent episode as the cast attended the 2024 National LGBTQ+ Task Force Gala. "The political climate is difficult, but we are who we are. Love has no gender. I'm not a political person. I'm more about love, acceptance, and diversity. Who can tell us that we cannot be ourselves? No one," Lemigova tells PRIDE. Although she's raising two young sons at home, Lemigova is at the center of the drama every episode as she goes head-to-head with her former besties Guerdy Abraira and Adriana de Moura. "For me, it was very authentic. It was real! I was there for [Adriana]. I heard Adriana say once, 'never say never,' and I'm also this type of person. I'm not stubborn. I want to hear her side of the story." One of the most explosive moments of the season saw Abraira and Lemigova get into a heated argument that led to Lemigova throwing a glass of water on Abraira, which she's apologized for on multiple occasions. "I don't know what happened. I hope it's not premeditated and planned. I don't know what she wants. I lost control of my emotions and I know I embarrassed Guerdy, but I cannot undo it. It's done." The tension only grew at Abraira's Celebration of Life event when Abraira exposed private text messages between the ladies on a projector. "You don't put your ego at such an important event. You don't do it at the expense of other people. Come to me, say it to me however you want, but not at this event." The Real Housewives of Miami airs Wednesday nights on Bravo. Comcast Posts Revenue Growth, With Theme Park and Xfinity Mobile Gains

Comcast reported a solid second quarter driven by slower-than-expected losses of broadband and video customers, growing ranks of Xfinity Mobile subscribers and a theme park opening in Orlando. Revenue rose 2.1% from the prior-year period, to $30.3 billion, slightly beating analyst expectations. Adjusted profit fell 1.7% to $4.7 billion, also beating expectations. Competition from mobile-service providers' home-internet offerings continued to eat away at its customer base, but the company said simpler pricing plans and other efforts to reverse the trend are showing signs of success. The company also lost 325,000 video subscribers in the quarter, fewer than the 375,800 that analysts expected. It ended the second quarter with 11.8 million video subscribers. Comcast's mobile-service business, Xfinity Mobile, gained 378,000 lines in the quarter, more than analyst expectations of a 344,600-line gain. The company said it was the business's best growth quarter on record, and it now has 8.5 million total domestic wireless lines. Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service, reported $1.2 billion in revenue, up from $1 billion the prior year, and its losses continue to narrow. Peacock ended June with 41 million subscribers, flat with the prior quarter and slightly below analyst expectations of 41.1 million. Sports streaming is lighter in the second quarter, the company said, but the success of 'Love Island USA' helped steady subscriptions and draw new viewers. Disney agreed in the second quarter to pay NBCUniversal $438.7 million as the last step in a buyout of Comcast's stake in streaming service Hulu. Comcast said it recorded a $9.4 billion gain from its sale of the Hulu stake, bringing its total profit this quarter to $11.1 billion. The company opened its Epic Universe theme park in Orlando, Fla., in late May. Overall theme-park revenue rose 18.9% from the prior-year period, to around $2.3 billion, and the company expects interest in the new park to remain strong. The company also has high hopes for the current quarter, with summer box office revenue from franchise releases 'How to Train Your Dragon' and 'Jurassic World Rebirth.' And it expects streaming later this year to be buoyed by sports, including basketball and football, as well as new Peacock price increases. Comcast expects a $1 billion annual cash tax benefit for the next several years, largely tied to infrastructure investments, as a result of the recent tax bill.
