
Middle Tennesse edges Louisiana Tech 77-75 in 2OT in Conference USA Tournament quarterfinal
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Jestin Porter had 20 points, and Essam Mostafa scored the winner with 16 seconds left in the second overtime to rally Middle Tennessee to a 77-75 victory over Louisiana Tech in a quarterfinal of the Conference USA Tournament on Thursday night.
Mostafa grabbed the ball and scored off AL Green's block of a shot by Porter for the third-seeded Blue Raiders (22-10). Sean Newman Jr. and Green missed shots in the final five seconds for the sixth-seeded Bulldogs (20-12).

LSU football received kickoff times and television designations Thursday for its Weeks 2 and 3 games against Louisiana Tech and Florida at Tiger Stadium this fall. Advertisement The Tigers' home opener against instate for Louisiana Tech during week two on Sept. 6 will start at 6:30 p.m. and be streamed on ESPN+/SEC Network+. The following week, the Tigers will open up Southeastern Conference play against rival Florida at home and that game will also be a 6:30 p.m. kickoff time with ABC handling the broadcasting duties. Louisiana Tech players help lead Independence Bowl Youth Football Clinic
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Louisiana Tech players and area coaches will teach young aspiring players in a free, non-contact clinic. Cowboys' Jake Ferguson leads youth football camp in Longview Redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Roy Brackins III, redshirt senior defensive lineman Zion Nason, redshirt freshman linebacker James Predtechenskis, and redshirt junior wide receiver Jay Wilkerson will headline the Independence Bowl Youth Football Clinic. Coaches from Louisiana Tech, ULM (University of Louisiana Monroe), Sam Houston State, Northwestern State, Centenary, and SUSLA (Southern University Shreveport Louisiana) will also teach the clinic participants. The yearly clinic is for boys and girls from five years old to eighth graders. Robert Williams III hosts youth basketball camp in Shreveport Players will learn football fundamentals in team drills and basic fitness techniques from members of the training staff. While the clinic is free, there is a limit of 400 participants, so parents are encouraged to register their children in advance. Preregistration check-in and registration for any remaining spots are on June 7 at 7 a.m. Parents will be required to complete a waiver at that time. The Florida game will be nationally broadcast on ABC. LSU now knows the kick times for the first three games of the season. The Tigers begin the season at Clemson in week one. The game is scheduled for 6:30 PM CT on ABC. Two of LSU's first three games are the SEC's Saturday Night Slot on ABC, so don't be surprised if LSU lands on ESPN's College Gameday in that span.
