Like, I even missed a lot of the Magic era when it came to my understanding of watching a game of basketball. And so for me, Michael Jordan is when it started for me.
I go Kobe, they were the same player. You saw one, you saw the other."
Then, he moved to LeBron James, explaining, 'I go, obviously, LeBron, you know, getting a chance to watch him play, but I got a chance to see him up close and personal for four years in a row. I've never saw a greater basketball player when it comes to the way he plays this game in person with my own eyes.
Like, I watched Jordan from afar. The way LeBron played his game is just incredible.'
His next choice was Allen Iverson. He said, 'And then from there, I go with AI. Just one of my favorite players, man, just a little dude who just will, there's nothing you can do with him. The way he was just a giant killer bro. He attacked everybody in front of him, and he did it with so much swag and pizzazz.'
Speaking on Stephen Curry, he said: 'I go with Steph Curry to watch Steph, see him from college, to watch him come into the pros very early, and then watch this when he took over the pros, when he took over the league.
But Steph just did it in a whole different way that none of us saw coming.'
Dwyane Wade called Shaquille O'Neal the most dominant force in basketball
Speaking further on the other players whom he found inspiring, Dwyane Wade mentioned Shaquille O'Neal. He said:
'Big Shaq. I've never seen a more dominant force play this game. I love it when a big guy, especially at that era, played like a big guy. He was dunking on everybody, dog. He didn't care. I love it.'
Moving to the last player, Dwyane considered the greatest, he said, 'And the last one that I would say is Kevin Garnett.
Kevin Garnett was one of the most versatile players that I've ever seen play the game of basketball.'
Elaborating further on Garnett, he said, 'I remember being in awe of watching somebody at his size pick up 94 feet, will guard the guard, but then get back to his, man. You know what I'm saying? Stay talking the whole game, dominate on the boards, dominate in the post, hit the outside jumper, dunk on you, and had a personality and the swag.
He had it all, too.'

Telangana sports conclave: Gagan Narang roots for grooming talent at grassroots level; Anju Bobby George wants all schools to have playgrounds
Hyderabad: Former Olympians Gagan Narang and Anju Bobby George on Saturday stressed that focusing on 'grassroots level and infrastructure is key to make India a sporting nation'. Speaking at a panel discussion, moderated by Charu Sharma at the Sports Conclave, the former marksman felt that 'the country is on the cusp of a sporting revolution but needs to tread the path carefully'. 'Having been the chef-de-mission of the Indian contingent in Paris Games, I saw very closely how teams and countries prepared for the Olympics. Often grassroots is the most neglected subject. If we focus only on elite athletes, who will work on unearthing the talent. Working with grassroots and elite athletes has a different mindset,' Gagan, who won a bronze medal at the London Olympics in 2012, said. You Can Also Check: Hyderabad AQI | Weather in Hyderabad | Bank Holidays in Hyderabad | Public Holidays in Hyderabad Anju, who won a bronze medal in long jump at the 2003 World Championships at Paris, reckoned that tapping talent from schools should be the priority. 'School is the place where one should look first. But the biggest challenge is most of the schools do not have playgrounds. Kids needed to be provided with facilities. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Use an AI Writing Tool That Actually Understands Your Voice Grammarly Install Now Undo Every school must have a ground and I feel that making sports a part of the curriculum is the way to go,' the 48-year-old star from Kerala said. Gagan also said that most of the athletes who won medals for the country have come from small centres. 'If you look at the medal winners from Paris Olympics like Saurabh Chaudhary or other athletes, they have come from small centres with proper coaching. We need infrastructure, we need the right kind of people at the right place to nurture talent. And if we can use 60% of the infrastructure that we have, we can achieve success,' he added. 'For athletics, we don't need big stadia. We need a track and proper coaching facilities. If we can have a coach who can nurture and nourish the athlete without injuries, they can go much ahead in their career," added Anju. However, lack of high-performance coaches and exposure to them are the biggest hindrances. 'We have coaches who can identify and nurture athletes. But we lack coaches who can make the athlete win medals at the Olympics or at the highest level. There is no exposure to the coaches,' explained Anju, who also participated in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Meanwhile, Sumit Pandey, the COO of Dream Sports Foundation and Tathagata Mukherjee, the COO of Inspire Institute of Sports, said that corporates have a crucial role to play. 'While corporates are doing a bit with CSR already, we need private players to play a bigger role in establishing infrastructure at the lower strata,' Sumit added. Gagan, meanwhile, batted for new PPP model — policy, programme and performance — to produce champions. 'So, if we are able to build this PPP, then the other PPP (public, private partnership) I think will not be a challenge because the governance structure is in place. Credibility is in place. And, the performance is eventually going to come. I think this could be the first state that could implement PPP that's necessary," Gagan concluded. IND vs ENG 5th Test: 'No reason why we can't chase that' – Josh Tongue confident in England's batting firepower
Josh Tongue (X-Sahil Malhotra) in London: England pacer Josh Tongue admitted that bowling a bowler short on Day 3 was always going to be a tough challenge, but remained calm about the fourth-innings chase as the hosts were set a daunting 374-run target by India in the final Test at The Oval. 'It was always going to be a tough ask for us bowlers,' said Tongue after stumps on Saturday. 'But we're pretty chilled. Not overthinking the target. With the batting line-up we've got, there's no reason why we can't chase it.' Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Tongue also spoke about how the pitch has changed over the course of three days. 'There was a bit in it early on, but the heavy roller seemed to flatten it. Still, the odd one is jumping from length.' When asked about a potential Ashes tour later this year, the fast bowler brushed it aside. 'Not thinking ahead right now,' he said. Tongue, who was taken for a few by nightwatchman Akash Deep, admitted the lower-order runs were frustrating. 'He got a few runs. That hurt.' Poll Can England successfully chase down the 374-run target set by India? Yes, definitely! No, it's too high. India had earlier taken charge of the match with a fine hundred from Yashasvi Jaiswal and a fiery 66 from Akash Deep, who shared a century stand in the morning session. Washington Sundar then smashed a 46-ball 53 as India set a record target of 374 — the highest ever set at The Oval in Test cricket. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Do you have a mouse?
