Akshay Kumar's 'Kesari Chapter 2' released in cinemas on April 18. Now, Youtuber and poet Yahya Bootwala has accused the makers of plagiarism in a now deleted post on Instagram.
Yahya Bootwala wrote, 'So @nisoooooooooorg sent me a clip 4 days back from the movie Kesari 2 of dialogues he felt were copied from my poem, titled Jallianwala Bagh, published 5 years ago on @unerasepoetry YouTube channel.'
'Here are the two clips, and honestly, this is a clear copy-paste, and it's not like they've tried to hide it as well; matlab phusphusana jaisa shabd bhi uthaya hai. Yes, logo ke khayal mil sakte hai; people can think in a similar way, but kisi ek topic par bilkul ek jaisi lines likh dena is anything but a coincidence,' the poet added.

Bootwala also said, 'As writers, the worst thing you can do to a fellow writer is pick their material up, blatantly use it without giving credits, and this is what I feel dialogue writer @sumit.saxena.35912 has done here. If you've ever felt attached to my work, please tag @karanjohar @karanstyagi @dharmamovies @akshaykumar and @ananyapanday so that this reaches them.'
Centered around lawyer C. Sankaran Nair and the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the historical courtroom drama film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
Kesari: Chapter 2 showcases aftermath of one of India's darkest historical events - the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film sheds light on how Sankaran Nair, a senior Indian member of the Viceroy's council and once knighted by the Empire, stood up and fought for the truth after the brutal massacre in 1919. The story highlights how Nair proved that the massacre was not a reaction to a riot, but a calculated act — what we would today call genocide.

Ram Gopal Varma asks 'What God is doing?' amidst Air India crash

Mumbai: As the entire nation mourns the loss of life in the horrific Air India crash in Ahmedabad, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma said that only God knows what he is doing. In the recent past, some unfortunate events have taken place which have left everyone shocked to their core. Reflecting on all that has happened, Ram Gopal Varma took to his X timeline and wrote, "GOD knows what GOD is doing?" Talking about the horrific Pahalgam attack, he added, "You to a beautiful location for a vacation and terrorists shoot you". On April 22, militants ended up killing around 26 civilians in the Pahalgam region of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, mainly targeting Hindu tourists. The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), claimed responsibility for the attack. Avenging the attack, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, attacking terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). This led to cross-border tension between the two neighbors. Shifting his focus to the Bengaluru stampede, the 'Sarkar Raj' maker shared, "You go to celebrate in a trophy parade and you die in a stampede". On June 4, eleven people lost their lives in a stampede in Bengaluru, during a victory parade celebrating Royal Challengers Bengaluru's first Indian Premier League win. He also expressed grief over the horrific Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad saying "You fly in a plane and the plane crashes." "You are eating a meal in your hostel and a plane falls on you," he added. On Thursday, Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed soon after taking off. The aircraft plunged into a residential complex near BJ Medical College. Out of the 242 people on board the flight, only 1 survived, leaving 241 dead. After taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 1.38 p.m. (IST) the plane lost control moments later.

What was the networth of Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur? Why was his company named 'Sona'

Business tycoon and former spouse of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, Sunjay Kapur, tragically passed away in London on Thursday. The 52-year-old industrialist reportedly suffered a fatal cardiac arrest after accidentally ingesting a bee. His unexpected demise has left his loved ones and the business world in mourning. Known for his prominent role as chairman of auto parts giant Sona Comstar, Sunjay was also a father to three children: Samaira and Kiaan with Karisma Kapoor and Azarias with his third wife, Priya Sachdev. He had also taken on the role of a father to Priya's daughter from an earlier relationship. Journey Through Marriages and Fatherhood Sunjay's entry into public attention was largely driven by his high-profile wedding to Karisma Kapoor in 2003. This was not his first marriage—prior to Karisma, he had been briefly married to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani. Following a lengthy separation and eventual legal divorce from Karisma in 2016, Sunjay went on to tie the knot with former model Priya Sachdev. Their union brought together children from their past relationships, forming a close-knit blended family. Despite personal challenges, Sunjay made a consistent effort to remain involved in the lives of his children from all marriages. His wife, Priya, often posted glimpses of their warm family moments—vacations, birthdays, and holiday celebrations—offering a rare look at their harmonious domestic life. In a candid discussion on the YouTube platform 'Indian Silicon Valley,' Sunjay had spoken openly about the significance of nurturing strong familial bonds. He emphasized how much he valued unity and togetherness, even in the context of a non-traditional family. He also revealed that he and Priya were undergoing professional guidance in parenting, aiming to provide their children with the most supportive upbringing possible. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Chrissy Metz Is So Skinny Now And She Looks Like A Model Cleverst Business Legacy and Global Reach Born into an entrepreneurial lineage, Sunjay stepped into the auto components business founded by his father, Surinder Kapur, in 1997. After Surinder's passing in 2015, Sunjay took the reins of Sona Comstar as its managing director. Under his leadership, the company expanded its footprint with nine manufacturing plants across India, the United States, China, Mexico, and Serbia. By March 2025, Sona Comstar boasted a market capitalization exceeding ₹31,000 crore. The promoters retained over 28% ownership in the enterprise, reflecting strong internal confidence. Just months before his passing, the company was valued at an impressive ₹40,000 crore. Forbes listed Sunjay's personal fortune at approximately $1.2 billion (₹10,300 crore), placing him among the wealthiest individuals globally at rank 2703. As per Forbes, Kapur's empire was named Sona after his grandfather's jewelry business. In Hindi, the word 'Sona' translates to gold. From steering a multinational company to nurturing a complex, blended family, he left behind a legacy of resilience, ambition, and emotional depth.
