Frankie Bridge fans 'obsessed' with sell-out suit that's back in new colour

Daily Mirror7 days ago
The 36-year-old singer shared her latest 'Payday Faves' on Instagram over the weekend and her followers went made for a sage green suit from PrettyLittleThing
Style icon Frankie Bridge has served up some seriously swoon-worthy looks in her recent 'Faves Edit'. And one of the outfits was a co-ord set from PrettyLittleThing that had fans 'obsessed', with some saying it's one of her 'best looks yet'.
The former The Saturdays singer each week shares a series of outfits on Instagram and in her Faves Edit newsletter to give style inspiration to her followers. This week, her video featured looks for shoppers to treat themselves to come payday - the PrettyLittleThing set included.
Consisting of a Woven Collarless Oversized Shoulder Pad Waistcoat, £34, and Woven Extreme Wide Leg Pleated Mid Rise Wide Leg Trousers, £28, the pair comes in three different colours: sage khaki (green - Frankie's choice), butter yellow and a light neutral Clay tone.
Her inclusion of this suit comes after the brand's popular chocolate brown hue supposedly 'sold out'. Frankie mused: " This suit has sold out every time in brown, so they've brought out a new colour."
While she said that on the website it looks more of a beige hue, she confirmed in her video showcasing the duo that is was 'definitely green'.

Product Description
Made from a mix of 75% Polyester, 20% Viscose and 5% Elastane, the suit is a great option for events like weddings, christenings and dinners occurring in the summer months thanks to its relatively lightweight make-up. With dramatic shoulders, a collarless neckline - great for showing off necklaces - and sleeveless finish, the waistcoat has a relaxed fit and hidden popper fastening for a seamless look.
It's a unique take on the more traditional waistcoats, which often feature button fastenings on the outside - for example, the £25 M&S Collection Tailored Waistcoat has four buttons on the front to fasten its tailored fit, while New Look's Green Soft Touch Striped Crew Neck Waistcoat, £22.99, has more of a longline shape fastened from its crew neckline to its hip-length hem. A fun design, this waistcoat comes with a defined striped vertical pattern and fitted darts.
The PLT waistcoat is complimented nicely by the brand's Extreme Wide Leg Pleated Mid Rise Wide Leg Trousers. With 'exaggerated pleats and flowing legs' they are flattering on all shapes and sizes. The set is still available in sizes four to 16.
Fans and followers of Frankie Bridge on Instagram flooded her comments section to praise the ensemble - which was made up of some statement earrings, a burgundy bag and burgundy sandal heels.
"OMG some of the best looks yet," said one keen fashion fan, while another raved: "Ohhh that sage green co-ord is a piece of me."
"Needs the links for them all and your fav green co ord same," added another.
Although for some people, these looks proved to be a little too 'big' on the singer, with one Instagram comment reading: "Everything looks so big", regarding the oversized fit. They added: "I prefer the more fitted, tailored outfits."

Not your average Dad jokes: the comedian that all my mum friends fancy

George Lewis has been my maternity leave companion. The 37-year-old comedian from Stockport clocks up hundreds of thousands of views for his Instagram reels. Mums on maternity leave, he tells me, form a big bulk of his audience. I can see why. On the trials of parenting young children, he is brilliantly entertaining and instantly relatable — an antidote to all those social media accounts sharing visions of perfect parenting. And fellow mums admit to a bit of a crush on Lewis. With his very good hair and cheeky grin, he is a dad you might not mind bumping into at the school gate. He started posting comedy sketches on Instagram during the pandemic and it was the parenting ones that struck a chord. He has three children, aged two, five and seven, with his wife, Harriet, and 625,000 remarkably well-behaved Instagram followers. His series in which two toddlers chat to one another like adult friends is among his most popular content. The toddlers (both played by Lewis) discuss the devastation of dropping a piece of banana on the floor, adding 'character' to blank, freshly painted walls with a crayon, and the impact of dropping the daytime nap: 'Maybe it has affected me a little bit.' We've all been there.

Spice Girl Mel B celebrates marriage with ‘spiritual' ceremony in Morocco

It comes after the 50-year-old, whose real name is Melanie Brown, married hairdresser Rory McPhee at St Paul's Cathedral in July, having announced their engagement in October 2022. In a post on Instagram, Brown said: 'We got married, again! 'A wedding so good we keep the celebration going with our closest and dearest in our fave place at @selmanmarrakech we had the time of our lives.' A post shared by 'scary spice Mel B' (@officialmelb) The singer wore a red dress with crystals and bugle beads made in a collaboration between Evelie Bridal and wedding dress designer Justin Alexander at the ceremony at the Selman Hotel on Saturday. Her choice of dress was guided by Caroline Black from London-based Evelie Bridal, who aimed to reflect her life in the US, where she is a judge on America's Got Talent. Black told the PA news agency: 'For Mel's Morocco wedding dress, we focused on trying Justin Alexander gowns with a little extra sparkle. 'Mel loved the idea of a red dress — something bold, with lots and lots of shimmer — but it also had to feel light and easy to move in. 'We drew inspiration from a variety of dresses she tried on at Evelie South Kensington, then went back and forth brainstorming with Justin Alexander and his design team. 'After several conversations and sketches, the first design took shape. Mel gave us clear feedback on what she liked and what she didn't, and the final result was beautiful. 'Mel had such a strong sense of what she wanted — it was a joy working with her and Justin Alexander to bring her vision to life.' The dress required a team of six artisans and took more than 850 hours to complete. Her husband wore an Alexander McQueen outfit featuring a white shirt and jacket with black trousers and shoes. The London wedding saw Brown joined by guests including bandmate Emma Bunton, model Daisy Lowe, and comedians Tom Allen and Katherine Ryan. The singer was previously married to Stephen Belafonte until she filed for divorce in 2017 following allegations of abuse. They have a daughter, Madison Brown Belafonte. Brown also has two daughters, Phoenix Chi Gulzar and Angel Iris Murphy Brown, from two previous relationships. With the Spice Girls, the singer had nine UK number one singles and two UK number one albums. The group was best known for songs such as Wannabe, 2 Become 1 and Who Do You Think You Are?.

Aki admitted he played poorly in the defeat to Australia YOU'RE KIDDING Lions star Bundee Aki reveals he missed arrival of his daughter during Australia tour after wife gave birth in a CAR Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) BUNDEE AKI has revealed he became a dad again during the Lions' series win in Australia — with his wife giving birth in a car. The Irish centre held his hands up on his shocker in Sydney on Saturday in a 22-12 defeat, which saw the tourists miss the chance of a Wallaby whitewash. 3 Bundee Aki's wife has given birth to a daughter Credit: Instagram 3 Aki now has five children Credit: Instagram After the Lions failed to clinch a series clean sweep, Aki then announced he had become a father for the fifth time two weeks ago. The 35-year-old has yet to meet new daughter Aine, who was born in the build-up to the opening Test win in Brisbane. Wife Kayla was in New Zealand with family when she got in touch to say she was ready to give birth before he helped the Lions to a 27-19 triumph. Aki recalled: 'Credit to my wife. She's a powerful woman. I was in the hotel in Brisbane and I knew we were overdue. 'Five minutes later, her waters broke. I was like, 'Are you almost there?' This is like 40 minutes away from the hospital, so I said, 'You'll be all right, Mum is there'. 'Ten minutes later, she video calls me and I was like, 'S**t, what's going on?' I saw a baby on the video call, so she had it in the car. 'They're both healthy. But their old man admitted he put in nothing close to an A-star performance in Sydney as the Lions were mauled in a monsoon. The game was suspended after half-time for 38 minutes due to lightning, with the Aussies 8-0 up through Dylan Pietsch's try and a penalty. Finn Russell was spotted in the dressing room flicking through his phone and Aki had his feet up on a bean bag before play resumed. But the Wallabies struck twice after the delay to get the victory. Aki had his worst game in an international shirt but fronted up. He said: 'I wasn't great. It was a poor game but you have those days and you have to live with it. 'We won the series and that's all we came for. 'Now, I want to enjoy my break. I haven't seen my family for eight weeks. I have a newborn child I haven't met yet.' Australia got it over the line thanks to a turbo-charged display from lock Will Skelton, who was on the wind-up all match, and second-half tries from Max Jorgensen and Tate McDermott. Jac Morgan and Will Stuart crossed to give the Lions some consolation — but Skelton had shown the Aussies the way. Wallabies scrum-half Nic White said: 'For once, someone stood up to them.'
