With Alisson still one of the world's best and Mamardashvili newly arrived, it's no longer tenable to keep Kelleher on the bench. Most Reds would rather see him playing regularly elsewhere than stagnating at Anfield.
Brentford would be a good fit. Progressive, tactically intelligent and with a style of play that suits a ball-playing goalkeeper. Kelleher's distribution and calmness could flourish in such a setting.
Slot's arrival signals a fresh chapter and, in many ways, Kelleher's exit would be part of that renewal. The £40 million fee, if met, would help fund further squad building – possibly in midfield or wide areas where Liverpool need added depth.
Ultimately, Kelleher's exit should be viewed with respect and optimism. A move would be a reward for his patience and professionalism – and a rare win-win for player and club alike.

Man appears in court over Liverpool trophy parade incident
A 53-year-old man has appeared in court after a car was driven into a crowd at Liverpool FC's trophy parade earlier this week. Paul Doyle, from the West Derby area of Liverpool, is charged with seven offences. He confirmed his name and date of birth as he appeared in the dock of Liverpool Crown Court. In an earlier hearing, Doyle confirmed his name, gave his date of birth and address at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Friday. He gave no indication of pleas when the charges were read to the court. Reporting restrictions preventing the victims from being identified were made by the judge. The father-of-three is accused of two counts of unlawful and malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and two counts of causing unlawful and malicious grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Doyle is also accused of two counts of attempted unlawful and malicious grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and one count of dangerous driving. The charges relate to six people, including two children. A wounding charge and an attempted grievous bodily harm charge relate to a child. Thousands of fans were gathered in Liverpool city centre on Monday to celebrate the Premier League champions' title win when a car struck a crowd on Water Street. Police said a total of 79 people were injured in the incident, with the youngest aged nine, and the oldest being a 78-year-old. Seven people remain in hospital in a stable condition.

Liverpool transfer news as Florian Wirtz 'ready to fly to UK' to complete Reds move
Florian Wirtz is reportedly ready to fly to Liverpool to complete his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen. The Reds submitted a $147 million offer for Wirtz in Friday after edging out Bayern Munich in the race to sign the Germany international. German outlet Bild, which first broke the story about Liverpool's second bid, claims that an 'important point' in the transfer saga is the player's training fee and who should pay it.
