The Odyssey's First Poster for Christopher Nolan Movie Revealed
Several images, that have recently made their way onto the internet, indicate that the first official poster for 2026's The Odyssey is now out in the open.
A plethora of cinema-goers, such as @Cart_Hound, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a glimpse at the maiden one-sheet of Christopher Nolan's forthcoming film, reportedly put up at various AMC establishments.
The Odyssey's debut poster highlights the film's title in a light blue font against a pitch black backdrop, with the phrase 'a film by Christopher Nolan' written above it. A disclaimer for how the movie was filmed appears beneath the title, reading, 'Shot entirely with IMAX film cameras.' Notably, this makes Nolan's 2026 epic the first feature film in Hollywood history to exclusively make use of IMAX cameras during filming.
In addition to the aforementioned details, the poster also confirms that The Odyssey will premiere on the big screens on July 17, 2026. The release date accompanies a tagline that fittingly conveys the tone of the movie, reading, 'Defy the Gods.' Lastly, the poster features the decapitated head of statue of a Greek God, hinting at what fans can expect from the film.
Helmed by Christopher Nolan, The Odyssey draws inspiration from Homer's ancient Greek epic poem of the same name. Aside from Matt Damon, who essays the titular role, the film also stars Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and Jon Bernthal, among others.

The Running Man Director on How He Got Arnold Schwarzenegger's ‘Blessing' for Remake
Edgar Wright, the director of the upcoming The Running Man remake, recently opened up on Arnold Schwarzenegger's thoughts on the film. Schwarzenegger starred in the original 1987 movie. Both films are adaptations of the book of the same name by Stephen King, who wrote it under the pen name Richard Bachman. Edgar Wright and Glen Powell spoke to Entertainment Weekly about The Running Man, with the former recalling how they approached Arnold Schwarzenegger about the remake. The Austria-born actor played Captain Benjamin Stuart 'Ben' Richards in the 1987 feature. Powell portrays Ben in the upcoming movie. Wright and Powell spoke to Schwarzenegger through a Zoom call. The Last Night in Soho director said the interaction was 'amazing.' He explained, 'We wanted to give a nod to the great man in the film — I'm not going to say what that was — and we sort of needed his approval for it.' Wright noted that Powell had previously worked with the iconic action star on 2014's The Expendables 3 and knew his oldest son, Patrick. According to Wright, that conversation was 'incredible.' He elaborated, 'Obviously, sometimes, when people do newer adaptations of films, it's a bit of a touchy situation.' The filmmaker recalled Schwarzenegger telling them that 'out of all of my films that I've made, I've always felt that's one that would be a worthy remake, and I think you guys are all set up to do that. Wright added, 'He basically gave us his blessing, and it was an incredibly sweet thing to do.' The cast of The Running Man also includes Josh Brolin as Dan Killian, Lee Pace as Evan McCone, and Colman Domingo as Bobby Thompson. The movie debuts in US theaters on November 7, 2025.
