JAS Middle East opens new regional HQ at Dubai South

JAS Middle East, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, has announced the opening of its new regional headquarters at Dubai South, the mega urban master development focusing on aviation, logistics, and real estate.
Designed to set new benchmarks in sustainability, efficiency, and technological innovation, the the 19,170-sq-m Build-to-Suit facility marks a major milestone in JAS' regional expansion.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Edoardo Napoli, Consul General of the Republic of Italy in Dubai, Biagio Bruni, Founder & Chairman of JAS Worldwide, Mohsen Ahmad, CEO of the Logistics District, Dubai South, Erwin Wittemaier, the Area VP of JAS Middle East, as well as other senior executives from both entities.
This ESG-compliant warehouse is tailored to meet specific logistics needs, reinforcing the company's commitment to growth and excellence while enhancing its ability to serve the entire Middle East market, said JAS in a statement.
The facility will include racked and bulk storage, three temperature-controlled chambers, and 12 loading bays with dock levellers and roller shutter doors. Standing over 14m at its apex, it will adhere to the latest firefighting regulations, it stated.
The office space will span two floors. Additionally, solar panels will be installed on the roof of the facility to offset utility costs and allow the property to achieve ESG credentials, it added.
Ahmad said: "We are proud to see the Logistics District flourishing with global industry leaders such as JAS, recognising the strategic advantages we offer to support their growth and expansion."
"With its cutting-edge design and ESG-compliant infrastructure, this facility enhances Dubai South's role in shaping the future of aviation and logistics in the region," he noted.
Bruni said this facility is a testament to the group's focus on innovation, sustainability and excellent service.

Representing the pinnacle of logistical innovation encapsulated within a premier infrastructure network, Dubai South's Logistics District offers premier services and operations as well as uninterrupted access to Jebel Ali Port via a bonded logistics corridor.

Zain Group reports exceptional Performance for H1 2025

Zain Group, a leading provider of innovative ICT and digital lifestyle communications, operating in eight markets across the Middle East and Africa, announces its consolidated financial results for second quarter (Q2) and sixmonths (H1) ended 30 June 2025. Zain served 50.9 million customers at the end H1 2025, a 7% increase Year-on-Year (YOY), driven by network restoration in Sudan and expansion in Iraq. Zain Group H1 2025 revenue soared 14% YoY to reach KD 1.1 billion (USD 3.5 billion). EBITDA grew 10% YoY to reach KD 356 million (USD 1.2 billion), reflecting an EBITDA margin of 33%. Net income for the first six months soared 49% YoY, reaching KD 121 million (USD 395 million). Net income for H1 2025 includes one-time gain of KD 15 million (USD 50 million) on settlement of legal dispute involving INWI, of which Zain Group is a 15.5% shareholder (via Zain Al Ajial). H1 2025 Earnings per share stood at 28 fils (USD 0.09). Zain Group Q2 2025 revenue grew 13% to reach KD 541 million (USD 1.8 billion) compared to Q2 2024. EBITDA reached KD 186 million (USD 606 million), reflecting a healthy EBITDA margin of 34%. Net income soared 40% to reach KD 73 million (USD 237 million), reflecting earnings per share of 17 fils (USD 0.05). Commenting on Q2 and H1 2025 results, Chairman of Zain Group, Mr. Osamah Al Furaih said, 'The Group's strong performance underscores the productive alliance between the Board and executive management teams of all our entities in delivering our '4WARD—Progress with Purpose' strategy. Our focus on acceleration, collaboration, and digital innovation, alongside our ESG commitments, is having comprehensive impact on sustainable value creation for all stakeholders. Sustainability Forum Middle East to launch fourth edition in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Sustainability Forum Middle East announced that it will launch its fourth edition on January 27–28, 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain, focusing on 'Advancing Alignment, Innovation, and Implementation for Energy and Climate Transformation.' The Forum will be held in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and with the support of the Supreme Council for Environment.
