Brooke Shields shows off incredible bikini body on her milestone 60th birthday

Daily Mail01-06-2025
Brooke Shields showed off her incredible bikini body as she rang in her milestone 60th birthday on Saturday.
Over the weekend, the Blue Lagoon actress enjoyed a tropical getaway as she marked the special occasion with stunning Instagram photos.
'Woke up today in paradise... and in a new decade of life! This is 60! Thank you for all of the birthday love,' she wrote in her caption.
The Pretty Baby star — who broke down in tears because of an unexpected surprise while celebrating her daughter Grier's 19th birthday last month — shared two photos of herself lounging in a woven hammock and basking in the sunshine.
For her relaxing beach day, she wore a black string bikini and showcased her toned midriff as she posed for the cameras.
Her dark brunette tresses appeared wet from taking a dip in the clear, blue water, and she sported a wide-brimmed, straw hat to dry off in the sun and catch some rays.
One photo showed the silver screen star with the shore behind her and a second snapshot showed her leaning back, with her hair down, from behind.
On the same day, her daughter, Rowan Henchy, also marked the occasion with a series of Instagram Story posts as a sweet birthday tribute.
Alongside cute throwback photos of them together, Rowan, 22, referred to Shields as 'everyone's favorite girl boss.'
Rowan also lauded her mama, gushing over her like many other family, friends and coworkers as Shields reposted on her Instagram Story.
Her eldest daughter sweetly wrote alongside their photos: 'Happy birthday to my role model, partner in crime, and best friend. Thank you for always being my rock.'
She concluded her tribute and added: 'Love you mama.'
Shields shares Rowan as well as her daughter Grier with husband Chris Henchy.
Earlier this year, months before her birthday, Shields excitedly anticipated turning 60 and shared her plans to celebrate her milestone.
'I'm going to do something special with a group of friends,' she said while onstage at the Flow Space Presents an Evening with Brooke Shields event in New York City in January.
'I have friends that I laugh like that with. I have my boozy friends, I have my granola friends. They each serve a different part of my soul and psyche.'
Then, the actress said she wanted to continue celebrating the milestone even past her actual birthday.
'I'm going to try and take experiences that I really want to have and spend the time and the money on them,' she said.
For the rest of the year, she said she would like to 'just celebrate the year of this big year that I'm walking through.'

Pete Davidson reveals why he feels 'guilty' about GF's pregnancy

Pete Davidson revealed why he felt 'guilty' about his girlfriend Elsie Hewitt's pregnancy. The comedian, 31, admitted that he initially 'felt bad' after they shared their pregnancy news with the world. Last month, his girlfriend, a 29-year-old model and actress, shared the news on social media with snapshots of the expecting parents and a sonogram photo, which she captioned: 'Welp now everyone knows we had sex.' While making an appearance on Wednesday's episode of The Breakfast Club, he said he felt bad that her pregnancy would be in the public eye. 'I feel bad for my girl because I bring a lot of s***. Anything I do or she does now is gonna be a thing,' he said. The Saturday Night Live alum previously shared his excitement about becoming a first-time father but explained his concerns about being in the spotlight. 'She's a very private person and she's the one doing all the work,' he added. 'It's supposed to be a beautiful experience.' Pete then clarified that his girlfriend had never complained about being in the spotlight but added that he felt bad about the added attention while she is pregnant. 'She's never made me feel this way or said anything but I feel so guilty and horrible that I could not allow her to have the ideal pregnancy that almost every woman gets to have and enjoy,' he said. The couple have been dating for less than half a year and were first romantically linked in March. In late July, Pete shared his feelings about becoming a father for the first time with his girlfriend early into their relationship. 'I'm very lucky and very, very happy,' he told E! News at the premiere of The Home in New York City. He admitted that being a dad has been his 'dream' and several of his A-list pals reached out to him with advice. Pete explained that he is looking forward to 'being able to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn't have'. 'I assume you just try and give them what you didn't have, and what you didn't like, not to do it. 'Everybody's just been super excited for me, because they know it's been my dream,' he said. 'They all just have been like, "You're going to be great at this. It's the best thing you'll ever do in your life." [Adam] Sandler gave me some great advice. 'It's been really nice that everyone's super excited. When you do something, when we do anything, you want everyone to be excited, especially having a child.'

Barbara Palvin reveals secret surgery after suffering painful sleepless nights on the floor

Barbara Palvin has opened up about a private health struggle and why she stepped away from the spotlight for several months. In a candid social media post, the 30-year-old supermodel revealed that she recently underwent surgery after years of painful and debilitating periods led doctors to suspect endometriosis. She wrote: 'Hi guys, it's been a while!' before explaining that she had long believed her severe symptoms were simply part of her cycle. She continued: 'For some years now I've been dealing with the difficulties that can come with my periods. Fatigue, severe pain, heavy and irregular flow, sleepless nights on the bathroom floor. I thought this was just how it works for me.' It wasn't until she was advised to see an endometriosis specialist that she began to understand the root cause. Barbara explained: 'I've been going to checkups to my gynecologist every year, I thought if I had endometriosis I would have known about it by now, but as it turns out, endometriosis can't be diagnosed with general examinations. So I went, and 3 months later I got operated on.' Since the surgery, Palvin says she finally knows what it feels like to have a manageable cycle. 'Since then I finally experienced a period that was easier, and now I know the difference,' she said, adding that she wants to encourage others who may be struggling with similar symptoms to seek medical guidance. She added: 'If you suspect that you could have endometriosis I encourage you to find it out. It helped me a lot, and I'm grateful I did it. Early diagnosis and treatment are very important to prevent long-term complications, and now I'm more mindful about my body to act fast if needed.' The Hungarian model — who married actor Dylan Sprouse in 2023 — also shared that she took time to rest and recover after the procedure. She concluded: 'That's also why I took the past 3 months to rest and fully heal. I'm excited about this new chapter of my life and now ready to get back to work.' Barbara, who has walked runways for Victoria's Secret and Armani, joins a growing number of celebrities speaking out about endometriosis, a condition estimated to affect 1 in 10 women of reproductive age worldwide. By sharing her story, she hopes to raise awareness and encourage others not to ignore symptoms that may signal something more serious. According to the Mayo Clinic, the procedure is usually conducted using laparoscopic incisions to remove the endometrial tissue. Palvin also showed photos of the compression leggings she was required to wear from hip to toe to avoid blood clots. Underneath the post, actress Charli Howard wrote: 'I have adenomyosis and it's the worst!!!. Adenomyosis is a condition where the uterine lining (endometrium) grows into the muscular wall of the uterus. Cover model Inge Fonteyne also wished her a 'speedy recovery.'
