At 67, Bobbi Brown says these devices ‘reduce fine lines'

Bobbi Brown is all about practical beauty, and that extends to her wellness routines. The makeup artist and Jones Road Beauty founder recently shared with followers the devices she says help 'reduce fine lines.' The 67-year-old says she uses HigherDose and Hyperice products that take skincare and self-care to 'a whole new level,' she wrote.
The beauty mogul posted a gallery of her new goodies to Instagram, showing off a recovery mat, which uses infrared heat and pulsed electromagnetic field currents to help promote the body's recovery process; a red light neck mask, which aims to reduce fine lines and boost collagen in the delicate neck area; a sauna blanket, which makes you sweat to and improves blood circulation, and compression boots, which offer compression and massage to accelerate leg day rebound. The photos pictured her and her family (including her adorable dogs) enjoying the products. In one snap, Brown is reclined on her couch wrapped in the blanket while also wearing the compression boots, an expression of complete zen on her face.$1295.00 at higherdose.com$89.00 at higherdose.com$349.00 at higherdose.com$799.00 at hyperice.com
'Fully stocked on all things @higherdose and @hyperice , and I'm not mad about it,' Brown captioned the post. 'From the red light neck mask to the sauna blanket, Normatec legs, and red light mat—this is skincare and self-care on another level. Boosts collagen, reduces fine lines, enhances recovery, and leaves me feeling amazing from head to toe. Who knew wellness at home could be this good?'
Followers chimed in to agree with her. 'Yes I love my mat!' one person wrote. 'I love my mat, especially after [a] hard workout,' another added.
Each of the devices Brown mentioned serves a different purpose, and multiple of them use red light therapy, an increasingly popular tool in the wellness space for everything from skincare to pain relief. 'Red light therapy is theorized to work on the mitochondria of our cells—the engine,' Jodi LoGerfo, D.N.P., A.P.R.N., F.N.P.-B.C., D.C.N.P. of the Orentreich Medical Group in New York City previously told Prevention. 'This gives the cells of the body more energy, allowing other cells to function with maximum productivity. For the skin, this includes skin restoration and repair, which can help increase new cell growth and intensify the restoration process.'

Although more research is needed, the therapy is thought to reduce wrinkles, increase circulation, decrease inflammation, fade acne spots and psoriasis, and may even slow hair loss. If you're interested in picking up any of Brown's finds for yourself, you can shop them below.

Why Sister Wives ' Kody Brown Says Falling in Love Has Been Painful

Originally appeared on E! Online is shielding his marriage from judgement. After he and his sole remaining wife 's displays of affection were met with disapproving reactions from their family, including his ex-wives , and , the Sister Wives star detailed how difficult relationships can be amid the criticisms of other people. 'It's like the world hates true love so much that they want to be really, really crappy about it,' Kody said during the TLC reality series' one-on-one special June 8. 'It's been a painful experience falling in love, not from the person I fell in love with, but from the world outside of it.' And while the 56-year-old deemed it easy to 'behave candidly' when he and Robyn are in private and feel safe, he added, 'Where we are not, we have learned to be careful. Because when true love is exposed, it calls down wrath.' More from E! 'Until Meri and Janelle are remarried,' he noted, 'I will not show PDA to Robyn in front of them.' After all, he had let it slip to host Sukanya Krishnan that he and Robyn were once kicked out of the house after showing PDA in front of the family—but he remained rather tight-lipped about the details. 'I'm not going there,' he said. 'It's a story that just cannot be told. It's just, there's something so vitally detrimental to your life, you're just not going to talk about it.' For her part, Robyn—who spiritually married Kody in 2010 before becoming his legal wife four years later—had always found it difficult to navigate the family's stigmas surrounding any level of physical intimacy. 'It was family rules or family culture that was already there before I came along,' she recalled during the one-on-one special. 'It was like, no affection and no sweet talk and no sweet looks across the room.' And on top of the 'really weird' energy toward PDA, the 46-year-old also revealed that someone—though she didn't name names—previously confronted her about not assimilating quickly enough to the family's existing values and beliefs. 'I was told I didn't have a say,' she continued. 'I was told that I needed to conform to what they were doing. And I was trying really hard not to rock the boat, too.' First Lady Of Fashion: Michelle Obama Announces New Book, ‘The Look'

Source: Tom Williams / Getty Michelle Obama served the people and served lewks. As FLOTUS, she set a new standard for first ladies as the first Black woman to hold the position. Now, she is walking us through how she did it in The Look. This coffee-table style book, co-written with her stylist Meredith Koop, will revisit the ways she amplified artists like Jason Wu and Prabal Gurung by wearing their designs. It will also highlight how she promoted affordable American retailers like White House Black Market and H&M as First Lady #44. Obama faced unprecedented scrutiny during her time as first lady of the United States. The first lady is an unofficial title but it is one that comes with heavy expectations. Her brand of Black beauty did not fit into the picture of what some people thought should represent our nation. She was criticized for wearing shorts on Air Force One and having the nerve to display her snatched arms. RELATED: Michelle Obama's Braids Made A Powerful Statement At The DNC The backlash she faced was dripping with racism. People couldn't fathom that there was not a dowdy, dour, individual seated at the side of the then head of state, President Barack Obama. Every strand of her hair on her head and spot of makeup on her face was up for debate by some. Source: Pool / Getty Others held Michelle Obama in high esteem. They mounted her pictures in barbershops, beauty salons, and funeral parlors. Seeing her appear elegant and poised in that position motivated them. Obama shared what inspired her to give her take on the time period in an Instagram post announcing the upcoming book release. 'During our family's time in the White House, the way I looked was constantly being dissected—what I wore, how my hair was styled. For a while now, I've been wanting to reclaim more of that story, to share it in my own way. I'm thankful to be at a stage in life where I feel comfortable expressing myself freely—wearing what I love and doing what feels true to me. And I'm excited to share some of what I've learned along the way,' she wrote. Obama previously penned the New York Times bestseller, Becoming . She has been sharing her experiences with the public on the IMO podcast she co-hosts with her brother, Craig Robinson. She pulls back the curtain on the other side of some of her most unforgettable moments in the public eye. Source: Drew Angerer / Getty 'My new book, The Look , comes out on November 4. It's a reflection on my lifelong journey with fashion, hair and beauty. Inside, you'll find some of the outfits that have meant the most to me, but more importantly, the moments that I lived through in them—big and small, personal and political, historic and ordinary—that were as memorable as the clothes themselves,' she continued. Obama selected gowns, suits, and sweater sets that sent a message with the help of a team. She is shining a light on their efforts with this new project. 'You'll also get to know the incredible team that supported me through it all and defined my look—my thoughtful stylist @MeredithKoop, my talented makeup artist @CarlRayMUA, and my wonderful hairstylists @YeneDamtew and @KitchenTalkwithNjeri. Each of them brings their own story, heart, and perspective to this journey,' she wrote. Stylists like Law Roach, Jason Bolden, and Wayman + Micah have helped change ideas about what elegance looks like in this country. These are the visionaries that expand palettes by pushing boundaries and subtly making change one piece of fabric at a time. ' The Look is about more than fashion. It's about confidence. It's about identity,' Obama continued writing in the caption. She ended by expressing her desired impact for the project. 'It's about the power of authenticity. My hope is that this book sparks conversation and reflection about the ways we see ourselves—and the way our society defines beauty.' You can pre-order The Look now here.
