Waaree Renewable Tech share price spikes another 5% after Q1 net profit surges 3-fold

Waaree Renewable Technologies, the solar EPC subsidiary of Waaree Group, saw its shares jump another 5% intraday on Friday, July 18, to reach 1,240 ₹ apiece, which came in response to the company's healthy performance in the June quarter.
The company, on Thursday, reported a net profit of ₹ 86 crore in Q1FY26, a 207% increase compared to ₹ 28 crore in the same period last year, while the revenue from operations came in at ₹ in at ₹ 603 crore, compared to ₹ 236.35 crore in Q1 FY25, which is a 155% YoY growth.
Looking at the segment wise performance, its revenue from its EPC contracts, which contributes over 95% of the company's total revenue, surged to ₹ 594.3 crore in Q1 FY25 from ₹ 228 crore in the same period last year, while power sales revenue also rose sharply to ₹ 9 crore, compared to ₹ 2.3 crore a year ago, as per the company's earnings' filing.
On the operating front, the company reported EBITDA of ₹ 117.54 crore for the quarter, marking a significant jump from ₹ 41 crore in Q1 FY25. EBITDA margin expanded to 19.5% from 17.4%, reflecting improved operating efficiency.
The company's unexecuted order book at the end of the quarter stood at 3.15 GWp, which it expects to execute over the next 12–15 months.
The bidding pipeline remains robust at over 25 GWp. In terms of recent wins, the company secured a 435 MWp ground-mounted solar power project and a 131.6 MWp ground-mounted solar power project, both awarded in the first quarter of FY26.
Commenting on the results, Mr. Manmohan Sharma, CFO, Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited, said, In response to the expanding renewable energy capacity, we have broadened our portfolio to include Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) EPC solutions, reinforcing our position as a full-spectrum clean energy provider. With a strong order book of 3.15 GWp in Solar EPC and 40 MWh in BESS EPC, we are well-equipped to deliver next-generation, large-scale integrated energy projects."

HIL is also developing realty projects in Indore, including residential and integrated developments. Toll collection contributed over 77% to FY25 revenue, followed by EPC and real estate. Its order book as of May 31, 2025, stood at Rs 666.31 crore. Ahead of the IPO, Highway Infrastructure on Monday, 4 August 2025, raised Rs 23.39 crore from anchor investors. The board allotted 33.42 lakh shares at Rs 70 each to 4 anchor investors. The firm reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 22.40 crore and sales of Rs 495.72 crore for the twelve months ended on 31 March 2025.

Nuclear power-focused Core Energy Systems raises ₹200 crore funding

Engineering, procurement and construction services provider Core Energy Systems on Wednesday announced a ₹200 crore fund raise from a clutch of investors. The over 20-year-old EPC company, which is currently refurbishing India's oldest nuclear facility at Tarapur near here, aims to utilise the funding for expanding infrastructure and manufacturing and strengthening its capacity to deliver large-scale nuclear projects. The funding will also reinforce efforts supporting India's Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and Bharat Modular Reactor (BMR) programmes, a statement said. Pankaj Prasoon and Ashish Kacholia, along with a consortium of "strategic investors aligned with India's long-term national goals", have invested ₹200 crore in the company as part of the current round, it said. "This investment gives muscle to our commitment to shaping India's civil nuclear future," the company's managing director, Nagesh Basarkar, said. The statement said given the country's ambitions of upping nuclear power generation capacity to 100 GW from the present 8.88 GW, the company is well positioned to develop indigenous materials to be used in the sector and fostering global tie-ups to up the supply chain. IDBI Capital Markets C Securities (ICMS) has exited after supporting the company through its Maharashtra Defence and Aerospace Venture Fund (MDAVF). ICMS senior vice president Amey Belorkar said the company's achievements in sensitive domains like nuclear and defence demonstrate the powerful impact of strategic capital. Core will also scale production of advanced defence subsystems, localise cutting-edge technologies through global partnerships and deliver high-reliability solutions for India's strategic sectors going ahead, the statement said.

Godawari Power & Ispat shares experienced a decline of over 6% on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, hitting an intraday low of ₹187 after the company released its earnings for the first quarter of the financial year 2025-2026 (Q1FY26). At 2:10 PM, shares of Godawari Power & Ispat were trading at ₹191.45, down by 4.28 per cent on the National Stock Exchange. In comparison, Nifty50 was trading at 24,593.50 level, down by 56 points or 0.23 per cent. At the time of writing this report, around 3.4 million shares had changed hands on the counter on the NSE. The total market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹12,815.73 crore. The stock is currently trading 24 per cent lower from its 52-week high of ₹253.40 touched last year. Godawari Power & Ispat Q1FY26 earnings The integrated steel company reported a 1 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y) decline to ₹1,323 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2025, as against ₹1,342 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, largely owing to a drop in realisations. Consolidated profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter under review also declined by 25 per cent to ₹216 crore, from ₹286 crore recorded in the same quarter of last fiscal year. The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) declined 20 per cent and stood at ₹324 crore as against ₹408 crore reported in the year ago period. Ebitda margins for the quarter stood at 24 per cent in Q1FY26 as compared to 30 per cent recorded in the year-ago period. PAT margins also plummeted from 21 per cent in Q1FY25 to 16 per cent in Q1FY26. That apart, the company board has approved a total capital expenditure of ₹1,600 crore for two new projects, which will be financed via equity and debt, with a 40:60 funding split. These projects include a 0.7 MnT CRM Complex and a 10GW storage battery plant. "Our new capex plans—focused on setting up the CRM Complex and the Storage Battery Plant—are expected to drive operational synergies and enable strategic diversification, strengthening our long-term growth outlook. Coupled with a strong net cash position, ongoing investments in mining and pellet capacity expansion, and a firm ESG commitment, we are well-positioned for sustainable value creation," said BL Agrawal, chairman and managing director.
