31 Travel Items That Are Your Packing Fairy Godmothers
A packing checklist so you can avoid running behind schedule as you try to remember that thing you know you're missing — but you can't *quite* put your finger on it. This full, extensive list helps you double-check that you have everything and can help avoid any CVS or Walgreens runs once you land!
TSA-approved silicone travel bottles to safely bring your face wash, shampoo, conditioner, and any other liquid toiletries through security without your bag getting flagged. The 3-ounce containers are not only super cute, but they're also lighter and more space-efficient.
Or a pack of LeakLocks Toiletry Skins that'll ensure your suitcase doesn't end up smothered in shampoo and conditioner. These genius little sleeves stretch right over your bottles to catch leaks before they can ruin your clothes, shoes, or your will to travel. And yes, they really can fit standard-size bottles!
OR, a set of Cadence containers designed to be TSA-compliant, meaning you'll breeze through security with all of your lotions, cleansers, and any of your other desired liquids. The labels, colors, and magnetic sides (that'll compactly hold every "capsule" together) will never make you question if you forgot to pack something again.
A set of compression cubes with a regular zipper to close, and a second zipper to flatten and press out excess air, making it 10 times easier to compactly fit your million outfit changes! Plus, your bag will be less stressful to pack when returning home since it can stay neat the *entire* trip.
Or, for a particularly long stint of travel, vacuum storage bags so you can majorly increase the storage space in your bag — by 80%, to be ~exact~. If your coats, sweaters, or endless clothing options need to somehow magically fit, these will help you!
A digital luggage scale that'll squash *any* anxiety that your bag is too heavy. Now you don't have to worry about forking over more money (for that big overweight bag fee) or ripping open your suitcase in front of everyone — with this, you can avoid both!
A space-saving shoe bag with enough room for three pairs so you don't throw them on top of your clothes and squish them. This can hold your comfy sneakers, poolside sandals, and slip-on shoes — which is all you need! Plus, this keeps the dirty soles of your shoes separate from all of your clean clothes.
A wheeled carry-on bag — it fits everything you need for a short trip, slides under your plane seat, *and* counts as a personal item *cough* Spirit *cough*. This also ~rolls~ so it'll be much easier to bring around than a heavy, overstuffed duffel bag.
A small eight-compartment pill organizer to fit any and all of your pill needs in one lightweight container — meaning that you don't have to stuff six different bottles for one trip into your bag (and possibly get flagged by TSA).
A 2-in-1 hair tool that works as both a curler and a straightener, forgoing the need to cram in two bulky items when there's no space left in your bag — with this, you get both! Reviewers swear by it for international travel because of the dual-voltage feature. No need to worry that you'll blow up your outlet overseas!
A mattifying powder dry shampoo for a quick, easy hair touchup that's more convenient to pack than clunky bottles or large aerosol cans. If your luscious locks feel greasy or not as volumized as you want, then this ultra-fine powder can help with both! Just dab the cushiony end on your roots, shake out the product, and style — then you're done!
A hanging toiletry bag that'll easily fit all of the toiletries you can't imagine fitting into just *one* zip-up pouch. This has plenty of compartments *and* has transparent windows, so you'll find everything quickly. Plus (!) it won't take up precious bathroom counter space since the built-in hook can hang off a door.
A travel jewelry case if you want your necklaces untangled, rings secure, and earrings neatly organized. With this, you don't have to worry about your fave pieces vanishing into the bottom of your bag.
Or a foldable jewelry organizer designed to fit even more jewelry if you love to be dripped down in bling during vacay. Your rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces will stay in good condition, plus you won't have to waste time detangling them either. It's super light and barely takes up space!
A Stojo collapsible travel cup so you know you always have a cup on you for caffeine or hydration — without it taking up a bunch of space (it folds into the size of a puck!). This is good for hot *and* iced drinks and has a straw built in.
A charger organizer that's much better than just throwing them all in your personal item and calling it a day (which is me, I fear). You can neatly organize all of your cords *and* slip in any other small travel or tech gadgets into the zip-up pocket.
A comfy Trtl neck pillow — the unique design gives you the support you're looking for while sleeping upright without the hassle of packing or carrying around a big neck pillow. It's slimmer and more compact, which is perfect if you've already over-stuffed your personal item!
A refillable travel perfume atomizer so your fave scents can come on the trip with you without the need to lug around huge, and often delicate, bottles. Just pour your perfume into this secure (non-leaking) spritzer with the included funnel and you're set.
A 40-count set of laundry soap sheets that'll let you outfit repeat on your trip without sacrificing hygiene. Now if you forget to pack a cute top, you can just rewear the one you wore on the first day of your trip. Just add these to your sink with some water and get to cleaning.
A bag bungee cord — now you can pack your carry-on with as much heavy stuff as you like, because no matter the weight, this can safely hold it on your roller bag without any worries it'll plop onto the ground. Even as you walk (or run) to your gate, your duffel, handbags, and coats will be all set for take-off.
Or a convenient luggage strap so you won't be overwhelmed with the amount of stuff you have to carry — just attach it to the handle of your bag to have a free hand. Now your arm won't get all sore from lugging around another thing *and* your bag will hang securely as you stroll through the airport!
An international travel adapter that covers you in Europe, Asia, and Australia, making it possible to jump from continent to continent and needing only this adapter. This can juice up to four devices at once and let you leave some of your charging blocks behind — just don't forget the cords!
Solgaard's brilliant Carry-On Closet with a six-tier pop-out shelving system that can compress and organize all of your daily 'fits — *and* you don't have to unpack from your suitcase because it really does double as a closet! The price is steep, but the carry-on feature pays for itself if you stop checking a bag altogether.
A waterproof Kindle Paperwhite (its latest version!) so you can stuff your bag to the brim with new books *and* add less than a pound of weight to your bag. You can forget the days of carefully picking which paperbacks you want on a trip, when you can just bring all of them loaded on your Kindle!
Alleyoop's Pen Pal — a 4-in-1 pen to do your lip liner, brows, eyeliner, *and* highlighter. If your toiletries bag is already overflowing, this can still give you all of your beauty needs while traveling (without taking up precious room). Idk about you, but it's making me nostalgic for my 5-in-1 pen from elementary school.
A plush microfiber makeup-removing cloth to pack instead of your disposable makeup remover wipes — *this* is more compact, cheaper, gentler on your skin, more eco-friendly, and only requires water.
A Hackwith Design House shirt that'll cut down on a couple of tops since you can style it six different ways. You'll sneakily outfit repeat *and* save room in your bag in the process!
An adorable Gillette Venus travel razor, your new go-to on trips because it's light and easy to store — *and* it does the same thing as your full-sized razor anyways. You'll have baby-smooth skin in no time.
A water-resistant Neutrogena SPF 50 face and body stick sunscreen for a stress-free security process since this is a solid — your bag won't get flagged by security *and* you'll be ready to take on the sun as soon as you land. No mess, no white cast, and easy reapplication? Sign me up.

This is also dual voltage, which is so handy when traveling internationally. Now you'll never be the one rooting through your bag in front of the TSA agent or gate agent when it's finally time to show your passport and boarding pass. If you're guilty of leaving charging cords tangled at the bottom of your bag, this is going to be a lifesaver for your travel game. A luggage-mounted cup caddy because the thought of a spilled macchiato on the airport floor right before you're trying to make it to your gate is not how you want to start the vacation of your dreams. This five-blade razor saves space and saves you from using those cheap disposable razors that just don't step up to the plate. A hands-free (rotating!) phone mount because I simply cannot get over that some airlines don't have screens!!! A packing list pad to help remind you of all the things you'll need for your trip, because we've all somehow ended up forgetting even the most basic of items like toothpaste and extra underwear. You'll find that this thing is so handy that you'll be wondering why you didn't get this sooner. A 3-in-1 foldable wireless charging pad that charges your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods all at the same time. You can stay organized by getting rid of tangled cords *and* the high-quality magnets in the pad make sure your items don't slip away. And when folded up, it easily fits into your pocket. A pack of LeakLocks Toiletry Skins — yeah, they might look like a funny-looking sock over your shampoo and face wash, but what you won't find funny is a big ol' liquid mess in your suitcase. These fit full-size and travel-size toiletries and prevent those cute white jeans from being stained with your purple shampoo. A digital luggage scale, a beacon of hope for the over-packer, the shopaholic, and the just-in-case suitcase stuffer. Don't make it hard on yourself, and play the guessing game of how much your bag weighs. Reviewers say the scale is easy to use and pretty darn close to the scales at the airport. A travel-friendly blanket-slash-pillow for those who wish they could personally ask the pilot to turn down the freaking AC on the plane. This is a BIG step above the thin fabric that the airlines call a blanket since it's made from super soft microfleece, AND it even has a trolley pass-through pocket so you can slide it over your carry-on. A combination 3D eye mask/travel pillow that straps onto the headrest so you can get some rest without doing the whole bobblehead act and jerking yourself out of a deep sleep. You'll be feeling like a certified genius for adding this to your travel arsenal. Or a cooling, memory foam contoured sleep mask for when all you wanna do is catch some Zs on your flight, but your neighbor with a reading light or open window has other ideas. 🙄 This puts no pressure on your eyes and completely blocks out light while still allowing you to freely blink so that you can get some beauty sleep before you land! A Pashmina scarf that's basically a 4-in-1 since it can be used as a comfy blanket or pillow, a scarf or wrap while you're out and about, and even as a shield to protect yourself from the sun since it's got UPF 50+ protection! A travel jewelry case because you're tired of untangling that giant knot that your necklaces, bracelets, and rings got themselves into. No more throwing your jewelry into a sandwich bag or in your toiletry bag when this keeps them neatly organized. And the Ring Thing — a waterproof holder that keeps your rings in a secure place whenever you don't feel like wearing them. This tightly clips onto your bag or reusable water bottle, and just like that, your most precious jewelry is safe and sound. A Tushbaby carrier since your little one is always wanting "uppies" and you might not always have a stroller on every adventure during your trip. This wraps around your waist and supports your kid to ease the weight on your back and arms. It even has extra pockets for diapers, bottles, and your phone!

Orlando International Launches Dedicated TSA Family Lanes to Ease Travel With Kids
If you take a look around, you will find strollers, little luggage and stuffed animals. Orlando International Airport is full of families. 'Kids want to go on trips, kids want to see Disney World,' said visitor Tatiana Terry. That is how the story usually goes for many: fun at the parks, frustration at the airport. 'We come every year, and so we're excited to go through the family lane this year, because we've never had an easy travel out of MCO before,' Terry said. But today was different for her group. They went through TSA's new dedicated family lanes. 'It's really an option for those traveling with children, 12 and under,' said Michael Silata, Assistant Federal Security Director for MCO. Silata says the new lanes benefit everyone. 'For the other travelers, it actually helps out the other lanes, because it helps to decongest those lanes. So, for example, like the larger items of the strollers and so on in those lanes,' he explained. Over the busy summer months, Orlando International's average wait time has been hovering around 10 minutes. With these new lanes, the hope is that it moves even faster, family or not. 'I feel like, not saying that they do, I'm slowing them down, because I'm like ok come on gotta get your backpacks off and put them in the bucket,' said visitor Connie Fulton. You will find the family lanes at all security checkpoints across Orlando International. Launching the lanes here was a natural choice given the number of families. Airport staff believe MCO processes more car seats and baby strollers than any other airport in the world. 'With two kids it is hard, it is very hard,' Fulton added. Right now, the lanes are also available at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii. Under this new program, families will also be eligible for discounted TSA PreCheck. This new program is part of TSA's push to modernize travel. You can now keep your shoes on as you go through security and the agency has said it is exploring the possibility of changing the limit for carry-on liquids.
