A motorcycle rider in his 20s died in a crash in Rutland, police said.
No other vehicles apart from a black Triumph motorbike were involved in the fatal crash on the A6003 Stamford Road in Oakham on Thursday.
Officers were called to the roundabout at Burley Park Way at about 18:00 GMT.
The rider, who has not been named by the force, died at the scene.
Det Con Adam Bancroft, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, asked for anyone who may have captured dashcam footage in the area at the time to come forward.
He also said the man's family "would like to express their thanks to those members of the public who stopped at the scene to provide first aid".

Ukraine drones attack on Moscow forces airport closure, Russia says

A Ukrainian drone attack targeting Moscow forced the closure of two of the key airports serving the capital, Russian authorities said early on Sunday. Russia air defence units destroyed nine Ukrainian drones heading towards Moscow by 0400 GMT, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on the Telegram messaging app. Emergency services were dispatched to the sites where drone debris fell in the overnight attack, Sobyanin said. He did not report any immediate damage. A Ukrainian drone attack also sparked a short-lived fire at the Azot chemical plant in the Tula region, injuring two people, and seven drones were destroyed over the Kaluga region, regional governors said. Both regions border the Moscow region to the south of the capital. Reuters could not independently verify the reports. There was no immediate comment from Ukraine. Russia's civil aviation authority Rosaviatsia said on Telegram that to ensure air safety it was halting flights at the Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports. Russia and Ukraine have increased their attacks in recent weeks while also returning to peace talks for the first time since the early days of the war that Russia launched against Ukraine in February 2022.

Man drives into a crowd in Germany's Passau, injuring several

A man drove a car into a group of people in the southern German city of Passau on Saturday, injuring several people, police said. Five people are being treated in hospital, including the man's wife, 38, and their 5-year-old daughter, according to a police spokesman. The severity of their injuries was not immediately known. The incident occurred at 3:30 pm (1330 GMT). Passers-by alerted the police. Police detained the driver, 48, and have not ruled out that he drove into the crowd on purpose, though that is currently unclear. Police suspect the incident may be linked to his relationship, the spokesman said. "The criminal police are on site and have taken over the investigation," he added. In February, a car drove into a demonstration march in Munich. Two of the injured - a woman and her 2-year-old child - later died in hospital.

Moped rider seriously hurt in hit-and-run crash

A moped rider has been seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash with a car. Leicestershire Police said he was involved in a head-on crash with the car in East Park Road, Leicester, shortly after 12:00 BST on Friday. Detectives said the car, believed to be a green Mercedes E-Class, left without stopping and they are now trying to find the driver. The moped rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital where he remained on Saturday, a spokesperson added. Officers said it was thought the car left the area along East Park Road towards St Saviour's Road. They have appealed to anyone who saw the crash, which happened near the junction with Blanklyn Avenue, to contact them. They said they also wanted to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage, taken in the area at the time. Follow BBC Leicester on Facebook, on X, or on Instagram.
