Smart and invisible policing helping police prevent crimes, says A.P. Home Minister
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that mobile phones can be used as weapons for protection, and urged women to use 'Sakthi App' for their safety. 'There is no scope for crimes in Andhra Pradesh. Government is taking all steps to prevent crime. Drones and CCTV are being used to check anti-social elements, particularly in VIP zones,' Ms. Anitha said.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Shivanath praised the NTR Commissionerate Police for launching Suraksha 360 which will help to check crimes in Amaravati region. The MP also had words of appreciation for MLA Sujana Chowdary, who installed ₹30 lakh worth of CCTVs in Vijayawada West Constituency.
District Collector G. Lakshmisha said that NTR district will become a role model for taking initiatives that help create a peaceful atmosphere. He thanked the donors who helped to install CCTVs in the district.
Mr. Sujana Chowdary, meanwhile, thanked the police for solving traffic problems at all major junctions by using 'Astram App'. He directed the police to take measures to provide safety at all schools and colleges.
Police Commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu said that CCTVs helped the police to detect crimes. Police have planned to install four surveillance cameras in each village. Steps are in place to enhance security at all temples, churches and masjids in the Commissionerate, he said.
Later, the Home Minister, MP, MLA and other officers felicitated the donors of the CCTVs. MLAs Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Gadde Rammohan Rao, Sriram Rajagopal and Kotikalapudi Srinivas and other police officers participated.

Nine proposals, including Gold Cluster in Mangalagiri, get CRDA nod
: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure that Amaravati's development projects reflect iconic designs and international standards. Chairing the 51st CRDA meeting on Monday, the Chief Minister emphasised that the proposed bridge across the Krishna river should feature world-class architecture, including design inspirations from the traditional Kuchipudi dance form. He also instructed that world-class infrastructure and a dedicated ecosystem be created around the cluster. The CRDA approved nine major proposals, including the establishment of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to execute key projects such as the greenfield airport, NTR statue, sports city, smart industries, riverfront development, inner ring road, and ropeway. A major highlight was the approval for the Gold Cluster at Atmakur, Mangalagiri, spread over 78 acres, to be developed under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS). The cluster, including a Gems and Jewellery Park, is expected to attract investments worth ₹5,000 crore and create 20,000 jobs. Infra works The authority also sanctioned ₹904 crore for critical infrastructure works, including drainage, drinking water supply, and civic amenities, across 29 capital region villages. It further cleared a proposal to remove the term 'Assigned' from ownership certificates issued under the land pooling scheme. For urban infrastructure, CRDA approved ₹411 crore for a Sewage Treatment Plant and ₹376.6 crore for a Water Distribution Centre. Additional land allocations were cleared for VIT University (100 acres) and SRM University (100 acres). Mr. Naidu instructed officials to expedite all works in mission mode, keep project details updated online for transparency, and ensure that Amaravati attains a visible shape within this season. He highlighted Amaravati's unique geographic advantages and stressed that all projects must be economically viable and iconic in nature. Municipal Administration Minister P. WhatsApp governance to cover police department soon
Anakapalli: Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha assured that new vehicles will be deployed for the Anakapalli police in a month's time. Laying the foundation stone for the new building of Nakkapalli police station in Anakapalli district on Sunday, the Home Minister mentioned that CCTV cameras are being installed across the state to improve safety and security of the people. She stated that the NDA government's priority is to provide safety and security to the women of Andhra Pradesh. Soon, WhatsApp governance will be introduced in the police department, the Home Minister informed. With already, 'Shakti App' in place, Anitha said that several women have downloaded the app and are using it. 'Andhra Pradesh stands second in maintaining law and order in the state,' she emphasised. Speaking on the occasion, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta said, 'The police department is improving its infrastructure for enhanced policing in the state. As part of its CSR initiative, Hetero Group chairman Bandi Parthasarathi Reddy allocated Rs 2.5 crore for the establishment of the new police station building at Nakkapalli.' The DGP stated that the building will be facilitated with advanced infrastructure for the convenience of the public.
