The Traitors gets completely snubbed at TV BAFTAs
THE BAFTAS dealt a killer blow to murder mystery game The Traitors as it was snubbed from all their awards.
This Sunday, hundreds of TV favourites flocked to London's Royal Festival Hall in order to celebrate the biggest and best of British TV.

However, despite becoming a must-watch favourite, The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, failed to take home any of the awards it was up for.
The show had three nominations, but faced stiff competition in the Comedy Performance, P&O Memorable Moment, and Reality categories.
Unfortunately, this faithful TV show was banished into the world of snubbed telly favourites.
Reality was won by The Jury: Murder Trial, which recreated a real-life murder trial using transcripts from those involved, with two public jurys giving their verdict.

For P&O Memorable Moment, The Traitors were given a nod for Diane Carson's iconic "Paul isn't my son... but Ross is" during the second series.
However, the fan-vote award ultimately went to Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell for their emotional performance of You'll Never Walk Alone.
Finally, Claudia Winkleman, who was up for Best Entertainment Performance as the show's host, was bested by Joe Lycett and his series Late Night Lycett.
Lycett nabbed the win over favourites Ant and Dec, as well as Claudia, Graham Norton, Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett, and Stacey Solomon.

Fans were less than impressed with the move, saying that the smash-hit series – which is set for a Celebrity spin-off and a fourth series – was "robbed".
Sharing a clip of Claudia in the audience, one fan wrote: "The look of someone who's programme has been robbed."

"The traitors not winning best reality tv… ummm what ?!?!" shocked another.
'The Baftas are Traitors to The Traitors How did it not win!," wrote another.
"The Jury over The Traitors !?! Hell naww!" added a fourth on X.
The complete snub was made even more awkward considering the numerous references made throughout the ceremony to the show.
On top of Claudia being present in the audience, Alan Cumming – who hosts the US version of the show – was presenting the evening.
Siobhan McSweeney, who will make her debut as the host of the Irish version of the series, also had a moment with Alan as he cracked jokes with the guests.

‘I was seen as a terrible actress thanks to Pirates of the Caribbean,' Keira Knightley says of films that propelled her to stardom
The British star played Elizabeth Swann, the love interest of Orlando Bloom's Will Turner, in three of the swashbuckling adventure films from 2003 to 2007. The pair returned for a cameo in the 2017 sequel Dead Men Tell No Tales. While the franchise made a global star of Knightley, the Atonement actor said in 2024 that it wasn't all fun and games starring in the films, as she felt the franchise was simultaneously 'making and breaking' her. Knightley has now said the films, which starred Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, led to many believing her to be a bad actor. In a new Vanity Fair interview alongside Rosamund Pike, reflecting on their role in Joe Wright's 2005 film Pride & Prejudice, Knightley said: 'Pirates of the Caribbean had already come out, but I think in the public consciousness, I was seen as a terrible actress. 'I had this phenomenally big success with Pirates and I think Pride & Prejudice was the first one that was a phenomenally big success but was also critically acclaimed.' Knightley continued: 'I remember it coming out maybe the same year, maybe around the same time, as Pirates two – and I got the worst reviews ever for that. Then also being nominated for an Oscar at the same time, it was, in my 21-year-old head, quite confusing.' The second film, Dead Man's Chest, was released in July 2006, months after Knightley received her first Best Actress Oscar nomination for playing Elizabeth Bennet in Jane Austen adaptation Pride & Prejudice. Last year, Knightley said of the Pirates franchise, which has grossed more than $1bn at the global box office: 'They were the most successful films I'll ever be a part of and they were the reason that I was taken down publicly. So they're a very confused place in my head.' Addressing Knightley's comments earlier this year, Bloom told Entertainment Weekly: 'I definitely understand where Keira was coming from, and she does wonderful things [in the films]. Bloom said that he has 'a lot of positive takeaways' from his time starring in the blockbusters. He continued: 'It was such a huge moment in time that it feels almost like another lifetime now. David Beckham given knighthood as part of King's birthday honours
FORMER ENGLISH FOOTBALLER David Beckham has given a knighthood as part of the King Charles' birthday honours. Speaking this evening, the former Manchester United midfielder said he was immensely proud to have received the award, which was given to him in honour of his services to sporting and charity. A number of well-known British personalities have also been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) including 18-year-old darts professional Luke Littler, TV presenter Claudia Winkleman and English footballer Rachel Daly. Antiques and Fine Art: London calling for Treasure House Fair
No fewer than 70 internationally renowned exhibitors will take part in the Treasure House Fair at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, in London from June 26-July 1. Among leading British dealers taking part are Ronald Phillips, Richard Green, Osborne Samuel, Wartski, Adrian Sassoon, Butchoff Antiques, MacConnal-Mason, Godson & Coles, Koopman Rare Art, Frank Partridge, SJ Phillips, Adrian Alan and Frank Partridge. They will present a spectacular selection of furniture, silver, decorative arts and jewellery. International galleries include three New York institutions: the antique jeweller À La Vieille Russie, silver specialists SJ Shrubsole and the leading authority in antique porcelain, Michele Beiny. "We like to think of ourselves as a festival rather than an art fair," says director and co-founder Thomas Woodham-Smith. His grandmother was the historian Cecil Woodham-Smith, author of The Great Hunger. Phillip Mould will bring the 1932 'Still Life with Fan' by Vanessa Bell to the Treasure House Fair. The Treasure House Fair was founded in 2023 by Woodham-Smith and Harry Van der Hoorn, co-founders of the famed Masterpiece fair which ran from 2009-2022.
