ROMPIN: A Perodua Myvi belonging to a teacher, which was reported stolen outside her home in Prima Gadak, Muadzam Shah on July 8, was recovered yesterday in an oil palm plantation in Keratong near here. The suspect is believed to have abandoned the vehicle in the plantation, located about 15km from the victim's house. "The police Forensics Unit was unable to recover any fingerprints. We believe the suspect had tampered with the evidence," he said in a statement today. Sharif Shai said police suspect the perpetrator fled the scene after abandoning the vehicle, taking the remaining valuables with them. In the July 8 incident, the suspect reportedly broke into the 33-year-old teacher's home while she was asleep with her two children. The intruder made off with a gold ring, a bracelet, RM250 in cash, a mobile phone and other valuables before escaping in the victim's Myvi.
