Teenage biker seriously injured in collision
Devon and Cornwall Police said no other vehicle was involved in the incident which took place near the Cattle Market Car Park at about 05:00 BST on Friday.
They said the man had been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police appealed for anyone with any relevant information, dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
They also thanked members of the public for their patience while the road was closed.

A Tunisian man is enduring 'inhumane conditions' inside the Federal Building in downtown Los Angeles after U.S. immigration authorities arrested him this month, his family says. Rami Othmane was held July 13 while driving to the grocery store. His wife, Dr. Wafaa Alrashid, said agents blocked Othmane's car and did not identify themselves or present a warrant before detaining him. Alrashid, chief of medical staff at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, was on FaceTime with her husband during the incident. The couple married on March 5, 2024, and filed an I-130 petition last month to qualify their relationship status to obtain Orthmane's green card. Alrashid said Othmane, whose Instagram account says he is a singer and music producer, was in the country legally, adding that he suffers from chronic pain and an untreated tumor. Since his arrest, Othmane has been kept in the Federal Building — sleeping on a cold floor with no bedding, hygiene supplies or privacy, his wife said. 'This is not just an immigration issue — this is a human rights crisis,' Alrashid said in a statement. 'My husband has been subjected to 12 days of inhumane treatment in a federal building. He is not a criminal. He is a kind, peaceful man with an open immigration petition.' Alrashid said in a post to Instagram that the conditions are not livable, adding detainees are fed at random times and are expected to share an open toilet. On Friday, the National Day Laborer Organizing Network, an advocacy group based in Pasadena, organized a protest vigil outside the federal detention facility in downtown L.A., known as B-18, to demand Othmane's release. 'Like all immigrants — like all human beings — he deserves to be treated with decency and respect and to receive due process of the law. It appears that these basic rights are being cruelly denied him,' the organization said in a statement Friday. 'We demand an end to the lawless campaign of raids and arrests that has led to gross injustices like the imprisonment of our friend Rami, and so many others.'

Former employee sues Major League Soccer for discrimination
Major League Soccer executives undermined a black marketing director after he complained that they gave a promised promotion to a white colleague — then fired him, he claimed in a lawsuit. Cedric Shine, who began at MLS in December 2022 as a brand marketer, was fired in May after months of poor treatment from top bosses at the soccer league, he said in a July 18 Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit. Shine, 41, said he was told he was about to be given a new job as senior director of marketing for the league when new direct supervisors were installed in February. 3 Cedric Shine was hired by Major League Soccer in 2022. 'The decision to block Shine's promotion came mere weeks after Shine's new supervisors terminated one of the few Black Directors in the Marketing Department, Justin Cox,' according to the lawsuit. The higher level job was instead given to 'a Caucasian MLS Marketing Director,' Shine said in the legal filing. When he complained to MLS' human resources department about the move, 'and its racial implications,' Shine was promoted 'over his supervisors' objections' — triggering a 'campaign of retaliation against him,' he claimed. Bosses berated him, lied about him showing up late for work, slashed his marketing budget and would abruptly leave events he organized, leaving MLS corporate partners and MLS executives 'in attendance to question why marketing leadership was leaving the event and reflected extremely poorly on Shine,' he said in the litigation. 3 Shine claims he was the target of retaliation at work. 'Shine's allegations of retaliation have no merit and the League intends to vigorously defend the recently filed lawsuit,' MLS said in a statement, adding the league is committed 'to providing an equitable and inclusive environment.'
