Bollywood actor Aamir Khan opened up about his early days when he began his acting career by joining a play. He revealed that he was one of the background actors with a single line dialogue. However, things did not turn out as expected and he was thrown out of the play.
A video was shared by Aamir's production house. The caption read: 'How did Aamir Khan's first (unspoken) dialogue lead him to his debut film? Watch the video to find out!'
In the video, Aamir narrated, 'I remember my first dialogue. Before films, I had done a few theatres in inter-college, NM college play called Pasiyo Rangaro. It was a Gujarati play where I got a role in a group.'
The actor revealed he was one of the extras in the background who starred as painters. 'We had a chorus song. Out of 30-40 boys in the background, only one had a dialogue. Mere pass dialogue tha (I had a dialogue).'
Recalling his first dialogue, the actor added, 'It was the first dialogue of my life which had a cuss word.'
However, Aamir never got a chance to deliver the dialogue as he was kicked out of the play.
He revealed what happened. 'But woh dialogue mujhe kabhi bolne ka mauka nahi mila kiuki inter college competition k do din se pehel mujhe play se nikal diya. (but I never got a chance to deliver my dialogue because I was kicked out of the play just two days before the competition).'
'Next day when I went for the play, the director asked me where was I. Maine bola Maharashtra bandh tha. My mom didn't let me leave the house. Sidha mujhe get out bol dia. Mai itna dukhi ho gaya tha. Maine kya galat kia isme? Mai sabse zayada hard working actor tha (I told him there was state strike and my mom didn't let me out. He told me 'get out' and I was so upset. What was my fault? I was the most hardworking actor).'
Aamir revealed although he lost out on the play, fate had better plans for him as he landed his first diploma film at Pune Institute.
He said, 'After watching that film, another student gave me the film.'
"After watching that film, Ketan Mehta took me in the film Holi. And after watching Holi, Mansoor and Nasir sir decided that I can become an actor. So, if Maharashtra hadn't closed that day, I wouldn't have done that film. And I wouldn't be sitting here today. If you are at the right place at the right time, then that right thing happens with you," concluded Aamir.
Aamir made his first feature film debut with Holi (1984). His full-fledged leading role was in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988).
Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha. His next will be the much awaited sequel of Taare Zameen Par, titled Sitaare Zameen Par.

His elder sister Nikhat will also be in the film, but she is a professional actor. Aamir further added that it was by luck that his mother became a part of Sitaare Zameen Par. It wasn't planned. What's Happening Aamir Khan revealed in a group interview on Wednesday, that his mother Zeenat will make her debut in Sitaare Zameen Par. He shared how his mother has never accompanied him to any movie set, but something changed for this film. He said, "Normally, Ammi doesn't say she wants to come to my shoot. So, I don't know what she felt, but the morning of the song shoot, Ammi called and asked, ' Aap kahan shooting kar rahe hain? Humko bhi aana hai shooting pe aaj ' (Where are you shooting today, I also want to come).' So, I said, ' Chaliye, aaiye.' I sent her the car and my sister brought her to the shoot. She came in a wheelchair. It was a happy wedding song, and we were having fun shooting for it while she was watching us." Aamir added, "Prasanna came to me and said, 'Sir, if you don't mind, can you request Ammi ji to be in the shot? It's the last song of the film; it's a wedding celebration sequence. She can easily be one of the guests. It's an emotional thing for me; I want her to be a part of the film'." Further elaborating on how Aamir thought the director had lost his mind, the actor said, "I told him, ' Tu pagal ho gaya hai? Meri himmat nahi hogi Ammi ko poochne ki, ki film mein kaam karo, shot do. She is very ziddi (Are you mad? I will never find the courage to ask her to shoot. She is also very stubborn). She is not going to listen. Don't waste your time.' He kept telling me to ask her at least once. So, I said, ' Ammi, Prasanna request kar rahe hain ki aap ek shot do ek guest banke (He is requesting you to be a part of one scene).' She replied, ' Haan theek hai (okay, fine).' I was shocked! So, she is there in one or two shots. It's the only film of mine that she has ever been a part of." "I don't know what came into her. She is turning 91 on June 13, a week before our film's release," he said. Aamir concluded by saying that his sister Nikhat has a few scenes in the film. Aamir Khan replaced Amole Gupte as Taare Zameen Par director after 2 days of shoot, says Darsheel Safary: ‘Forget who is the director'

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was tagged a 'perfectionist' early in his career, but the label also invited criticism — with many accusing him of 'ghost directing' films and sidelining directors. While Aamir denied such claims in an interview with Galatta Plus, Darsheel Safary recently shared that Aamir, in fact, took over the direction of Taare Zameen Par from the film's original writer and creative director, Amole Gupte. In a recent interaction with Vickey Lalwani, Darsheel Safary recalled how Aamir completely reshot a scene in Taare Zameen Par, despite Amole Gupte being present on the set. He said, 'He told us forget everything that we just shot. I am going to direct it. Amole sir is right here and he is going to be on the set as a creative director. It is his film, I will make it, we all will make it together. Forget who is the director.' Darsheel also shared that Amole shot for the film for just 2-3 days before Aamir took over the director's chair. When asked how the transition was for him, Darsheel said, 'I was scared of Aamir sir. Amole sir and I were actually friends. He had spotted me at Shiamak Davar's classes.' He added, 'Amole sir and I had great friendship. His son and I are also good friends. We have done a lot of masti together.' Darsheel also admitted to Aamir giving inputs to Amole while shooting the film. 'I remember them talking about what works and what not. I remember very clearly him (Aamir) giving inputs.' Defending himself, Aamir said in the interview with Galatta Plus, 'A lot of times people would assume that I am ghost directing. They would assume that when these directors didn't work with me and their films were flops and it happened so many times with me that it became like 'it can't be a coincidence'. It was infuriating to convince people that I am not directing these films, it is these directors who are directing it.' The spiritual sequel of Taare Zameen Par — Sitaare Zameen Par — will be released on June 20. While Aamir played a teacher in the previous film, Sitaare Zameen Par will see him play the role of a basketball coach.
