BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has officially completed his mandatory military service as of June 10. Along with group leader RM, he greeted the press briefly, revealing upcoming plans and thanking ARMYs and fellow soldiers for the support during his military journey.
He served in the elite Special Duty Team (SDT) under the 2nd Corps Military Police Unit, a division known for its intense counterterrorism operations and demanding training. Stationed at the Ssangyong Unit in Chuncheon, Taehyung achieved several commendable milestones throughout his service, but what truly stood out was the deep bond he formed with his fellow soldiers.
As V's discharge date arrived, many of his comrades, most of them younger and a few older, took to sharing heartfelt messages for the Rainy Days singer. Their warm words and sincere goodbyes reflected just how much Taehyung meant to those he served alongside. BTS' V receives heartwarming messages from fellow SDT soldiers
After Taehyung officially wrapped up his military service, it wasn't just ARMYs who were emotional — his fellow soldiers also had a few heartfelt things to say. One of them, a junior who had served in a different unit, left a touching note that perfectly summed up the warmth Taehyung is known for.
'Since we were in different units and you were my superior, I couldn't talk to you as freely as I wanted to,' the message began, as shared by a fan page of the K-pop star. 'But even so, you were kind and warm to the end. You signed my guitar without a second thought — I don't have much to give back, but I hope this little gesture shows how thankful I am.'
The soldier went on to add, 'I hope you shine even brighter in the civilian world as an amazing artist and continue to be someone who makes our country proud as you do now. Congratulations on your discharge!'

Another touching tribute came from a fellow soldier who trained alongside him in the Special Duty Team (SDT) and also attended his discharge ceremony.
'You're even cooler because you're the hyung who went through all the hardships with me. Congratulations on discharge, hyung!' The comrade wrote, sharing his admiration and gratitude for Taehyung not just as a celebrity but as a teammate who endured the same intense training and challenges. View this post on Instagram
Another SDT member jumped into the comments, continuing the thread of warmth and respect among the unit. He said, "Hyung, you always shined brighter than anyone else in the military with your passionate heart and diligence. I will forever cheer you on so you can shine even brighter in the outside world. During his discharge ceremony, the Winter Bear singer didn't just thank his fans — he opened up about the personal transformation he went through during his military service. Clad in uniform and standing tall as Sergeant Kim Taehyung of the 2nd Corps Direct Unit, Ssangyong Special Task Force, he greeted reporters and fans with sincerity and a full heart.
'I have been officially discharged from the military,' V said, before reflecting on the time he spent in one of South Korea's most elite military units. 'It's been a time of growth for me — both physically and mentally. I feel like I've rebuilt myself from the ground up, and now I'm truly ready to return to ARMY.'
To the fans who stood by him during his service, V offered genuine thanks. 'To all the ARMYs who waited for me throughout my service, I want to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart,' he shared, adding a little promise: 'Just a little more patience, and we'll be back with amazing performances.'
He didn't forget his fellow soldiers either. With a respectful nod to the camaraderie he built over the past 18 months, he said, 'I also want to thank my unit and the people I served with — your support and kindness meant a lot to me.' V closed the moment with a salute, gently noting, 'My voice is a little hoarse,' hinting at just how emotional and meaningful the moment had been.

Why Varun Grover criticised Anurag Kashyap for praising Sandeep Reddy Vanga? 'Kai badtameeziyan ki hai'

Varun Grover, Anurag Kashyap and Sandeep Reddy Vanga After the release of Animal, a divisive hit directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Anurag Kashyap shared a heartfelt post on Instagram praising the filmmaker. Calling Vanga "honest," "vulnerable," and "lovely," Kashyap's comments stirred reactions from the film industry. Filmmakers Neeraj Ghaywan and Varun Grover responded critically in the comments—Ghaywan wrote 'Cringe' and Grover simply commented 'No.' Months later, Grover elaborated on the reasons behind his reaction during an interview with The Lallantop. Speaking about his comment to The Lallantop , Grover clarified that he did not object to someone defending a piece of art, even if it's politically incorrect or divisive. However, his issue lay in the fact that Kashyap's post did not discuss Animal or its content—it instead focused entirely on Sandeep Reddy Vanga's character. According to Grover, it was less about standing by a film and more about standing by a person who, in his view, has behaved poorly in public. Grover pointed to multiple instances where Vanga had engaged in aggressive exchanges on social media. 'Kai badtameeziyan ki hai,' saying he recalled that the director had once even criticized veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, claiming Akhtar did not know how to write and lacked understanding of the craft. Grover described these comments as delivered in an unnecessarily arrogant and disrespectful tone. This behavior, he said, went beyond artistic differences and entered the realm of personal disrespect and social Grover's comment on the Instagram post, Anurag Kashyap personally reached out to him. Within half an hour of the comment being posted, Kashyap called Grover to discuss the issue. According to Grover, the conversation was constructive. Kashyap reportedly listened attentively and acknowledged Grover's perspective, agreeing that the criticism made sense. Grover appreciated Kashyap's openness and willingness to engage in dialogue without letting hierarchy interfere, noting that Kashyap's egalitarian approach sets him apart in the Reddy Vanga has gained a reputation for his controversial public image and the intense themes in his films. From $900 parking lot pop-up to billion-dollar franchise in 8 years: How 3 friends turned a chicken stand into a global brand

In 2017, three childhood friends in Los Angeles pulled together just $900 and a dream. Armed with a beat-up fryer, borrowed tables, and an untested recipe for Nashville hot chicken , they set up shop in a modest East Hollywood parking lot. Fast forward to 2024 — their brainchild, Dave's Hot Chicken , has become a fiery global sensation, now sizzling under a deal reportedly worth close to $1 billion. This isn't just a story about chicken. It's a tale of grit, friendship, and flavor-fueled ambition. No Restaurant Experience, Just a Craving for More At the heart of this chicken revolution was 24-year-old Arman Oganesyan , a stand-up comedian with zero culinary background and a pocketful of persistence. His pitch? Selling spicy chicken tenders with a twist. Despite early skepticism — including from chef friend Dave Kopushyan, who famously said, 'I don't even like chicken' on How I Built This Podcast with Guy Raz in 2024— Oganesyan's vision proved contagious. Eventually, Kopushyan joined in, and the duo brought in a third friend, Tommy Rubenyan. With no investors willing to bite, the trio pooled their savings and hatched a plan. They began obsessively researching fried chicken, binging documentaries, eating their way through LA's chicken scene, and experimenting in Kopushyan's kitchen. Some attempts were bizarre — like using gummy bears — but serendipity struck when leftover chicken landed in a near-empty pickle jar, creating the now-iconic brine. From Sidewalk Sales to Celebrity Endorsements According to a report from CNBC Make It , the pop-up's first night was modest — just four meals sold to Oganesyan's girlfriend and friends — but within days, word-of-mouth reached food critic Farley Elliott. The buzz exploded. Lines formed. Nightly revenues skyrocketed. Within two months, the team was pocketing $10,000 apiece — a staggering sum for a trio that had just been scraping by. While the financial details remain under wraps, the deal is pegged at 'pretty close' to $1 billion — a jaw-dropping return on a humble $900 start. — TheFranDawg (@TheFranDawg) With over 300 locations across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and the Middle East, the brand is on track to double its $600 million revenue from last year to $1.2 billion in 2024. Remarkably, the original founders, including Oganesyan, Kopushyan, and the Rubenyan brothers, will stay on board, holding minority stakes and steering the company's next wave of expansion. What started as a leap of faith and a love for heat has become a blazing symbol of how friendship, flavor, and entrepreneurial spirit can change everything — one spicy chicken tender at a time.
