A rescue operation at a popular beach in west Wales has ended with the recovery of a man's body. Dyfed-Powys Police said officers were called to the Manorbier area, near Tenby, Pembrokeshire, at approximately 11:00 BST on Friday after concerns were raised for the welfare of a person."Sadly, a body of a man was found during the search," a spokesperson said.Enquiries into what happened are ongoing, the force added.
The search effort included the Tenby all-weather and inshore lifeboats and a Coastguard helicopter.

Seven people from Newport have been arrested in connection with a report of "violent" disorder in the city on Friday afternoon, police have confirmed. A man has denied murdering a pensioner who died days after a house fire in the West Gorrell, 53, from Moss Grove, Saltney in Flintshire, Wales, pleaded not guilty to murder and arson with intent to endanger life at Wolverhampton Crown Edwards, 82, and three others were seriously injured after the fire in Holyhead Road, Wednesbury, in the early hours of 11 May and Mr Edwards later died in hospital on 25 Gorrell also denied three counts of attempted murder relating to Doreen Edwards, Mark Edwards and Carl Edwards.
