While he was on his way to his hotel, after he arrived in the city, the taxi driver took him 15 km in the opposite direction, towards a different hotel named The Western in Rajarhat, despite the fact that Dustin clearly informed the cab driver he wanted to go to the Hotel Great Western in Park Street.
"I showed you the hotel first, we agreed to this, and then you took me to the wrong hotel," Dustin told the driver in the now-viral video.
The cabbie initially agreed for Rs 700 for the journey. Upon Dustin's refusal to pay for the incorrect destination, the driver acknowledged his error but strangely raised the fare, stating, "Okay, sir, it will be Rs 900 to Park Street now."
Mr Dustin remained firm on paying only the initially agreed Rs 700.
The situation intensified when another driver in a red shirt joined and positioned himself next to the first driver, attempting to resolve the dispute, but the situation deteriorated.
On camera, the red-shirt man caught giving threats and saying, "I will take him to a lonely place and I will break his bone. I have mafia connection, I will break your bone."
Upon hearing Dustin's explanation, the red-shirted individual demanded Rs 1000 and spoke to the driver in Bengali, saying, "I have connections with the mafia, I'll drag him to a lonely place and break his bones."

They subsequently arranged another taxi for Dustin to board. However, the man in red insisted on an additional Rs 100 for "parking and petrol", raising the total to Rs 800. He was recorded speaking in Bengali, telling the new driver he would receive Rs 400 whilst retaining the remainder.
A journey that should have taken 50 minutes extended to 1 hour 20 minutes. "I should've been at the hotel by now, but I'll probably be in this taxi for an hour and 30 minutes," Dustin informed his audience during the journey.
Meet Dustin assured that these incidents wouldn't affect his view of India. "I've had a great time in India so far. This won't make me hate the country, it's just something you deal with in taxis and airports in many places," he expressed.

RAAS premiere celebrates rural nostalgia and emotional reunions

Tathagata Mukhopadhyay's Bengali film RAAS premiered, starring Vikram Chatterjee and Devlina Kumar. The film explores Somnath's return to his village after 18 years, reconnecting with his childhood love during Raas Purnima. RAAS contrasts the peace of rural Bengal with the isolation of urban life, highlighting themes of rediscovery and nostalgia, reflecting the emotional void felt in city life. The premiere of the Bengali film RAAS recently took place at a city theatre, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of cinephiles, industry professionals, and well-wishers. The red-carpet event was graced by the film's cast and crew, along with several notable figures from the Bengali film fraternity. Director Tathagata Mukhopadhyay was joined by lead actors Vikram Chatterjee and Devlina Kumar , who play Somnath and Rai respectively. Also in attendance were key cast members including Anashua Majumder, Anirban Chakrabarty, Sudip Mukherjee, Ranojoy Bishnu, and Arna Mukhopadhyay. Singers Manoj Murali Nair and Somlata Acharyya, who lent their voices to the soulful track Amra Dujona , were also present. RAAS tells the story of Somnath, who returns to his ancestral village of Manikpur after 18 years and reconnects with his childhood love, Rai, during the Raas Purnima festivities. Through its quiet portrayal of rural Bengal, the film contrasts the serenity of village life with the fast-paced, often isolating nature of urban living. As Somnath retraces his emotional roots, RAAS unfolds as a tale of rediscovery, nostalgia, and longing. Speaking at the premiere, Tathagata remarked, ' RAAS reflects the emotional void many feel in city life. It's a journey back to innocence and rootedness.' The ensemble cast also includes Shankar Debnath, Parijat Chaudhuri, Debasish, Debaprasad Halder, and Apratim Chatterjee, bringing depth to this reflective, emotionally resonant narrative.

YouTuber SinCity-MannyWise claims that he shot streamer Finny Da Legend in ‘self-defense' in Las Vegas

Sin-City MannyWise shot Finny Da Legend and his wife Bubbly in Las Vegas (Image via Youtube) What started as digital beef between two livestreaming personalities has now become the center of a real-life courtroom drama. Manuel Ruiz, better known online as SinCity-MannyWise, is facing two murder charges after allegedly shooting fellow YouTuber Rodney Finley a.k.a. Finny Da Legend and his wife Tanisha Finley (Bubbly) near the Bellagio fountains. But in a surprising twist, Ruiz is now claiming it was all self-defense. A Stream That Turned Into Tragedy The tragedy took place on Sunday, June 8, 2025. YouTuber Finny Da Legend and his wife Bubbly were shot while livestreaming outside the Bellagio. The accused in the case is SinCity-MannyWise, a well-known Vegas-based streamer. Authorities say the confrontation was the culmination of a long-simmering online feud that began in 2023. What began as trolling, copyright strikes, and petty digital wars eventually spilled into the real world, with deadly consequences. SinCity-MannyWise's Court Claim: 'I Thought He Had a Gun' SinCity-MannyWise appeared in court Tuesday morning and told the judge he opened fire because he feared for his life. According to his statement, Finny Da Legend made a threatening motion, reached toward his waistband, and said, 'What up, cuz?'—a phrase SinCity-MannyWise claims he interpreted as a threat. Believing Finny was about to pull a weapon, he says he fired in self-defense. He also admitted to shooting Bubbly, saying he thought she had a 'shiny black object,' which he feared was a gun. That object was later identified by witnesses as a phone gimbal. The judge denied bail, and SinCity-MannyWise now faces two counts of murder. He remains in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. This The Real Reason Sin City Manny K*lled Finny Da Legend And His Wife (RECEIPTS & FOOTAGE) A Toxic History Between the Two Creators The feud between Finny Da Legend and SinCity-MannyWise wasn't new. According to fellow streamers, things escalated in 2023 when SinCity-MannyWise allegedly pepper-sprayed Bubbly during an in-person encounter. Rather than retaliate physically, Finny Da Legend responded online, trolling SinCity-MannyWise on livestreams and mocking his content. Their online war spiraled from there, with Finny Da Legend frequently watching and reacting to SinCity-MannyWise's videos on stream. SinCity-MannyWise reportedly retaliated using YouTube's copyright system, striking Finny's videos and demonetizing his content. In one of Finny Da Legend's streams, a voiceover of Donald Trump mockingly said, ' I want to say f*** Sin City Family and f*** Manny ,' referring to SinCity-MannyWise and his followers. Community Reeling from the Aftermath While internet users continue to argue about who was right and who was wrong, what's clear is that this was more than just online drama. Two people are now gone—Finny Da Legend, known for his energetic Vegas streams, and Bubbly, who brought warmth and light to every broadcast. SinCity-MannyWise's self-defense claim is now the center of a murder case that has gripped both the streaming world and the wider public. Whether it holds up in court is yet to be seen, but one thing is certain: this is a tragic reminder of what happens when digital rivalries spill into real life.
