Per Chicago State of Mind Sports, the Sky have announced their official injury report. Cardoso is not listed, which means she is available to play on Saturday.
"Kamilla Cardoso has been removed from report (Shoulder)," the account wrote.
Cardoso recorded a career-high 23 points on May 29 against the Dallas Wings, which helped lead the Sky to their first win of the 2025 season. She also added eight rebounds in that game, and has been averaging 6.5 rebounds per contest this year.
The Sky lost to the Fever on opening day by a lopsided score of 93 to 58. Cardoso and her teammates will look to avenge that loss when they host Indiana at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday for an 8:00 p.m. EST tipoff.

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy Details Improvement Ahead Of Year 2

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy Details Improvement Ahead Of Year 2 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kansas City Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy is coming off a solid rookie season and is now looking to take his game to the next level in 2025. Coming off a year where he posted 638 yards and six touchdowns from his 59 receptions in the regular season, along with 287 yards and three touchdowns in three playoff games, more is expected in Year 2. Sometimes it can be a whirlwind for rookies in their first year, but as the season goes on and into the following offseason, things start to make sense. And for Worthy, things are starting to come together for him. 'Just having a better understanding for the playbook,' Worthy said. 'Now it's another year in the offense so I have a better understanding for the plays, a better understanding for the zones, what teams are going to throw at me. So just understanding schematics.' Now that Worthy has a better understanding of what defenses are going to throw at him, plus knowing the little details of the offense better, Worthy could be set for a big leap in 2025. With other weapons in Rashee Rice, Marquise Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster, Worthy might see some favorable looks in the passing game, and given his speed, Patrick Mahomes' deep ball might be back. Still, we are early in the offseason, but it is clear Worthy feels more comfortable in Andy Reid's offense as he looks to take the league by storm in Year 2 and be a driving force behind Kansas City's bounce-back season. Why Are Players Wearing Black Armbands During Leeds United vs Everton? Real Reason Explained

Why Are Players Wearing Black Armbands During Leeds United vs Everton? Real Reason Explained originally appeared on Athlon Sports. On Monday, August 18, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. BST (3:00 p.m. ET, 12:00 p.m. PT), Leeds United return to the Premier League with a home game against Everton at Elland Road. It's the first game back in the new Premier League season for Leeds and there's more to it than just the football. As with every other game this weekend, players from both teams will be wearing black armbands, and fans are already asking what it means. Black armbands have been a part of football for years. They're a way to mourn and pay respect to someone associated with the sport who has died. This time, it's the Premier League that has made the decision to wear, and every club will be taking part. The Reason Behind all Premier League teams wearing Black armbands? It's in memory of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva who sadly passed away in a car accident over the summer. Every game in Matchday 1 of the 2025–26 season will be marked with the same rituals: players wearing black armbands, a minute's silence before kick-off and tribute messages on the screens. The tributes started on Friday, August 15 when Liverpool played Bournemouth in the opening game of the season. Anfield was emotional as fans held banners, observed the silence and joined in a fantastic tribute to their former forward. The tributes continued over the weekend and will end with Leeds vs. Everton on August 18, so this will be a moment of collective mourning that goes way beyond club rivalries. The origins of the tribute go back to the Community Shield between Liverpool and Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium on August 10th, where an emotional ceremony saw wreaths laid by football dignitaries, a minute's silence and fans singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. Leeds United vs Everton will be the last match of the Premier League's opening weekend where the players will wear black armbands, closing off Matchday 1 tributes, before business goes back to usual in the Premier League. Stephen A. Smith Calls Out Dan Orlovsky Over Dillon Gabriel Blunder

Stephen A. Smith Calls Out Dan Orlovsky Over Dillon Gabriel Blunder originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Dillon Gabriel's shaky preseason outing with the Cleveland Browns drew sharp criticism from ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, who playfully lit into analyst Dan Orlovsky for defending the rookie's missteps on "First Take." The exchange played perfectly into the show's combative chemistry as Smith mocked Orlovsky's notorious quarterback optimism while NFL insider Adam Schefter joined in. Gabriel — the former UCF Knights, Oklahoma Sooners and Oregon Ducks standout taken by Cleveland in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft — threw a costly pick-six and later fumbled in his most recent preseason appearance, a 22-13 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The mistakes sparked concern among Browns fans wondering whether he really represents the future at quarterback in Cleveland. Browns Still Unsure of Quarterback Room Composition Gabriel's 13-of-18, 143‑yard performance in his preseason half — including the pick‑six and fumble — hasn't settled the quarterback debate in Cleveland. Regarding Gabriel's preparation and hamstring status, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski noted, 'I don't think he's 100 percent, but I don't know that anybody's 100 percent even at this point, so. But I think he came out okay.' While that comment reflects physical readiness, it doesn't address the mental sharpness fans are watching closely. The Browns still face pressing questions about Gabriel's situational awareness and decision-making under pressure. General manager Andrew Berry has held firm that the Browns' quarterback situation 'it really is just about competition,' but Gabriel's uneven debut reopened questions about who will lead the team moving forward. Smith, Orlovsky and Schefter Trade Barbs in Spirited On-Air Exchange Smith mocked Orlovsky's quarterback loyalties — 'Are you kidding me?' — as he accused Orlovsky of always finding the silver lining. Orlovsky shot back with equal fervor — 'Yes I do! Yes I do!' — insisting he stays impartial. Schefter laughed off the exchange, teasing Smith that it was fair game to rib Orlovsky on his diet or wardrobe, but not his judgment on quarterbacks. While the banter played out, the Browns' quarterback race continues to heat up. Stefanski said the team will name its Week 1 starter soon, with veteran Joe Flacco widely viewed as the favorite after taking the majority of first-team reps. A hamstring issue has limited Kenny Pickett, and Sanders remains sidelined by an oblique strain despite early flashes in camp. Gabriel, meanwhile, likely took a small step back due to poor play and is battling his own soft-tissue injury. Despite the volume of the QB conversation, it appears to be Flacco's job to lose.
