Big Aurum drilling program aims to extend West African gold

Aurum Resources has launched a 30,000-metre diamond drilling campaign at its 0.87-million-ounce Napié project, centred about 110 kilometres southeast of the company's flagship Boundiali project in Côte d'Ivoire.
The two-rig program aims to expand the current Napié resource, drill other thinly tested targets and deliver an updated mineral resource estimate for the project by the end of the year.
Management says it plans to add two more rigs to the program, which it hopes to complete by the end of the year.
Previous drilling intercepts at Napié offer plenty of encouragement for success, delivering long runs and high grades at shallow depths. These include 13 metres at 20.82 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 32m, 32m assaying 7.10g/t gold from 13m, and 9m going 22.73g/t gold from 36m.
Two other intercepts gave up 10m running 18.98g/t gold from 7m and 41m assaying 4.51g/t gold from 17m.
'We are working on a multi-pronged approach, drilling to grow the 0.87-million-ounce Napié MRE and drilling to define new gold resources from the portfolio of encouraging prospects that have never been followed up.'
Aurum Resources managing director Dr Caigen Wang
Company research reveals that only 4.4km or 13 per cent of the 30km-long Napié shear has been systematically drilled to define gold resources.
Remarkably, 93 per cent of the current 0.87-million-ounce Napié gold resource lurks within 150m from surface. This leaves Aurum with vast potential to explore along the more than 25km of largely untested remaining strike, coupled with further possible treasures at depths below the limits of previous drilling.
The existing mineral resource consists of the combined 545,000-ounce Tchaga resource in the central area of the prospective ground within the company's 30km-long tenement and the 323,000-ounce Gogbala resource, about 6.5km south of Tchaga.

Dazzling 50% upgrade pushes Aurum African gold resources to 2.41Moz

Aurum Resources has delivered a transformative 50 per cent increase in its JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate for the company's Boundiali gold project in Côte d'Ivoire, which now totals 2.41 million ounces of gold at 1 gram per tonne (g/t) gold, a massive hike of 820,000 ounces. When combined with the company's Napié project's 0.87 million ounces, Aurum's combined resources across its tenement group now total 3.28 million ounces of the yellow metal, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth as a leading West African gold explorer. The new resource estimate comprises 18.5 million tonnes of indicated resources at 1g/t gold for 600,000 ounces and 54.2Mt of inferred resources at 1g/t gold for 1.81 million ounces, using cut-off grades of 0.4g/t above 300 metres depth and 1g/t below 300m. The 2025 Boundiali resource estimate spans six deposits - BST1, BDT1, BDT2, BDT3, BMT1, BMT3 - across three tenements, with high-grade inferred resources including 400,000 ounces at 2g/t gold in BMT3, 220,000 ounces at 1.7g/t gold in BMT1 and 100,000 ounces at 1.9g/t gold in BDT3. 'Our team has achieved an 820,000 ounce increase from seven months of drilling since the maiden MRE in December 2024, a 52% increase.' Aurum Resources managing director Dr Caigen Wang Aurum Resources managing director Dr Caigen Wang said: ' Apart from this significant growth in quantity, this updated MRE realised a 362% increase in the indicated resource component from 130,000 ounces in the December 2024 MRE to 600,000 ounces in this updated MRE.' Located in the prolifically productive West African Craton, Boundiali shares the same greenstone belt as major gold mines such as African focussed Resolute Mining's 11.5-million-ounce Syama deposit and Montage Gold's 4.5-million-ounce Koné operation. The Boundiali project has excellent infrastructure, including sealed roads that connect it to the city of Korhogo, 100km to the east, and 225kVA power lines spanning the project ground, which support efficient exploration and future mining operations. Gold mineralisation, hosted in shear-zone quartz veins with pyrite and visible gold, remains open along strike and at depth, pointing to likely significant future upside.

PH2 proposes Pure One rebrand

Don't miss out on the headlines from Stockhead. Followed categories will be added to My News. Pure Hydrogen proposes name change to Pure One, as it focuses on commercial transport solutions Company's operations set on supply of BEV and HFC vehicles along with hydrogen equipment Introduction of new hybrid coach and rigid truck to provide customers with more options to slash emissions Special Report: Pure Hydrogen is proposing to change its name to Pure One to better reflect its strategic focus on global commercial mobility solutions in the transport sector. The shift from a product-specific name also aligns with the Company's long-term strategy to drive growth through diversified revenue channels without confusing investors or partners. Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2) notes its operations have now evolved to comprise the supply of both battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, as well as hydrogen equipment such as refuelling solutions and small production facilities built into shipping containers for rapid deployment. In line with its rebrand to Pure One, the Company noted that its Australian operations have been increasingly focused on growing the sales pipeline for its BEVs, which are more commercially viable in the near-term due to lower upfront costs and greater government support. However, it has also secured hydrogen vehicle orders from large customers across the construction, infrastructure, and waste management sectors including TOLL Transport, Heidelberg Materials, Barwon Water and Solo Resource Recovery. In the US and Canadian markets, stronger government subsidies and incentives are accelerating hydrogen vehicle uptake, making HFC solutions commercially attractive with the company being well advanced on several sale and distribution agreements. Shareholder approval for the name change will be sought at the upcoming annual general meeting. Watch: Pure Hydrogen sells zero-emission garbage truck in first US deal Product development PH2 is continuing to update and innovate its product suite in response to evolving customer demand with all of its key vehicle types now available in both hydrogen and electric variants with full Australian Design Rule approvals. As part of its strategic focus on new vehicle rollouts and product development, the Company recently completed the design and engineering works for two new vehicles. The HD100C hybrid coach and TG23 hybrid low cab rigid truck present an affordable entry point to clean energy technology, with price points comparable to traditional diesel variants while offering potential fuel savings of over 35% compared to diesel equivalents. Pic: Pure Hydrogen The company has already received considerable interest from potential buyers interested in incorporating clean energy solutions into their vehicle fleet with minimal disruption to their existing operations. HD100C is a 12-metre vehicle that's expected to appeal to bus operators as its price point is lower than other BEV and HFC buses. TG23 is a 23-tonne hybrid rigid model that combines electric drive with a diesel back-up, making it suitable for regional operations or long-range urban services where charging infrastructure is limited. 'The proposed rebranding to Pure One Corporation reflects our evolving identity and ambitions beyond hydrogen alone, allowing for greater flexibility and clarity as we broaden into a wider clean energy and mobility portfolio,' PH2 managing director Scott Brown said. 'We are pleased with the positive progress made across multiple fronts, including product innovation and a growing sales pipeline that together build strong momentum toward sustainable growth.' 'Our efforts to continually update and diversify the product offering reflect our commitment to meeting varied customer needs globally.' 'Furthermore, Pure remains focused on the execution of its international expansion strategy, led by early traction in North America, which now represents a major addressable market opportunity for the business.'
