UAE Cabinet Approves World-First AI Legislative Ecosystem and Sweeping National Reforms

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, chaired the UAE Cabinet meeting at Qasr Al Watan, Abu Dhabi, where transformative decisions were made to elevate governance, legislation, and development.
A key highlight was the approval of the world's first AI-powered Regulatory Intelligence Ecosystem, which will revolutionize the legislative process by integrating federal and local laws, judicial rulings, and public services into a dynamic system. The newly established Regulatory Intelligence Office will oversee its implementation, ensuring faster, smarter, and adaptable law-making.
The Cabinet also approved the restructuring of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with a mandate to drive balanced growth across the nation.
Industrial development took center stage as the Cabinet reviewed the 'Make it in the Emirates' Forum, noting a 59% growth in the industrial sector over four years. Preparations for its 2025 edition are underway, with over AED 160 billion in opportunities projected.
On sustainability, the launch of the Global Alliance for Energy Efficiency, announced at COP28, was greenlit to promote international collaboration in doubling energy efficiency by 2030. The Cabinet also reviewed the success of the 'Plant the Emirates' campaign, which has resulted in over 459,000 trees planted.
Other discussions covered progress in the UAE's advanced tax system, housing loans worth AED 7.5 billion, sports development initiatives, autism policy updates, cultural sector achievements, and the ratification of 44 international agreements, reaffirming the UAE's global engagement and future-ready governance.

Sharjah's thriving business ecosystem Grand Prize winner 'Bulbul' led by Alaa Mohamed El Gamal, empowers non-Arabs in the UAE to overcome language barriers and confidently integrate into the Arab world. Their innovative scenario-based speaking program targets expats, whether complete beginners or those struggling with spoken Arabic. Commenting on their win, El Gamal said, 'We are excited for the future, and I've learned a lot from other entrepreneurs during this experience. I'm very happy to have had this opportunity.' Speaking on their successful pitch Alsuwadi said, 'We are proud of what we have achieved so far and very happy to have taken part in this initiative from SBWC.' Catering to a discerning clientele including art collectors, interior designers, hospitality providers, and corporate partners, House of Clay showcases the unique artistry and craftsmanship emerging from Sharjah. Pearl Quest represented a significant investment in Sharjah's entrepreneurial future, and the finalists were shining examples from the rigorous SBWC Entrepreneurship Programme, delivered in partnership with Sheraa. Over the preceding month, this exclusive programme equipped numerous outstanding businesswomen from SBWC with critical skills, enhancing their fluency in branding, navigating legal frameworks, achieving investor readiness, and boosting economic proficiency. UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah El Sisi have reiterated the need to intensify efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during talks in Abu Dhabi. The leaders also underscored that regional stability can only be attained through the two-state solution. The discussions took place in Qasr Al Shati during El Sisi's fraternal visit to the UAE. After exchanging Eid greetings, the talks focused on strengthening fraternal ties between the two countries and on further enhancing cooperation across various sectors of mutual interest, national news agency Wam reported on Wednesday. Both sides also reaffirmed their shared commitment to continued consultation and coordination on matters that serve the interests of both nations. Following the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed hosted a luncheon in honour of the Egyptian leader. In the evening, Sheikh Mohamed, along with a number of Sheikhs and senior officials, bid farewell to El Sisi at the Presidential airport.
