Travis Kelce is about that swamp life. See him go full Florida Man in Miami
Fans used to seeing the Kansas City Chiefs star all suited up for football games or a night out with gf Taylor Swift may do a double take at the (literally) wild spread.
In the wide ranging article called 'America's Sweetheart,' the tight end was shot in his temporary home of South Florida, where he trained in the off season.
GQ really went for it, taking their cover star out to the middle of the swamp. In one picture, Kelce's seen decked out in fur, looking like a dapper trapper extraordinaire, riding an airboat. In other shots, he gets up close and personal with such Everglades residents as an alligator (cradled in his arms) and a python (wrapped around his neck).
Other more tame locations for the shoot included Marine Stadium Marina on Virginia Key, where Kelce tried out flyboarding, shooting into the air over Biscayne Bay all while wearing a jacket by Burberry, the mag notes.
Perhaps all the sunshine and water (and reptiles) loosened Kelce up. He really opened up to writer Sean Manning, answering a few burning questions about his famous galpal of two years. It's apparently a mutual admiration society kind of situation.
'I get to be the plus one,' the three-time Super Bowl champ said of the pop star. 'I get to go and be that fan. Because I am a fan.'
The baller's also pleased to see Swift show interest in his sports career and loves seeing her root him on from the VIP box.
'It's so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field…. I feel that same enjoyment every time she comes to my shows.'
Kelce think he knows the reason they just work. Though in totally different fields, the 35 year olds have more in common than you'd think.
'I hadn't experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions,' the 'New Heights' podcaster said. 'That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows. She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I've seen what she goes through. I've seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it's mind-blowing.'
As for the paparazzi that follow their every move? Behind closed doors, these two lovebirds are just like any other couple (really).
'Whenever I'm with her, it feels like we're just regular people,' the NFL vet said. 'When there is not a camera on us, we're just two people that are in love. It can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but [it] still happened very organically.'
Sorry, folks. After reading through the entire piece, we are still in the dark if a proposal is in the works. But it sounds as if things are copacetic right now, at least for Kelce:
'I love being the happiest guy in the world all the f--ing time.'

Jalen Hurts Getting Praised for What He Did on Sunday
Jalen Hurts Getting Praised for What He Did on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Philadelphia Eagles began their quest for back-to-back Super Bowl championships on Thursday when they took on the Cincinnati Bengals in their first preseason game of 2025. They outscored the Bengals 17-0 in the second quarter and scored 20 straight points spanning the second and third quarters, allowing them to come up with a 34-27 victory. While Cincinnati played a few starters, including quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni elected not to do the same. But Eagles fans got a glimpse of QB1 Jalen Hurts at practice on Sunday, and he ended up doing something kind and attentive for his team's fans. Jalen Hurts Stuck Around After Practice and Spent Time With Fans In a heartwarming moment, Hurts was seen taking time following practice, signing autographs for fans who were present. Users on X applauded Hurts for being so connected with Eagles supporters and taking time out of his schedule to make them happy. "He's a good guy," wrote one user. "That's really cool," wrote another user. "If you hate on this man you must hate your life," a third fan wrote. "I was on the other side of the field like a dummy lol," another fan wrote, mourning the missed opportunity. "I wish I were there," a fifth user wrote. "This is the jersey I need," another fan wrote. Like many NFL players and other pro athletes, Hurts has a history of doing good work in the community to help others. He is an advocate for women's sports, and in fact, every member of his management team is female. According to a 2021 ESPN article, he participated in the NFL's "My Cause, My Cleats" initiative to advocate for more women to get involved in sports. He did so by wearing cleats for a game versus the New York Jets that brought attention to tennis legend Billie Jean King's Women's Sports Foundation, which she founded in 1974 "to advance the lives of women and girls through sports and physical activity." Can the Eagles Fly Above the Rest of the NFL Again This Season? Right now, many are predicting Philly to come out of the NFC and play in the Super Bowl once again. However, the team isn't the favorite to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy. They have largely the same core on offense, along with the former Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon backing up reigning Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley. But there have been some changes on defense. Pass rushers Josh Sweat and Bryce Huff, cornerback Darius Slay and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson left during the offseason. That means that youngsters such as Jalen Carter, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean will need to step things up. All three did well last year, and they will need to continue with that type of trajectory in order to bring another world championship to the City of Brotherly story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 11, 2025, where it first appeared.

These 5 Chiefs were injured during Kansas City's preseason loss to the Seattle Seahawks
The Kansas City Chiefs were unable to escape their preseason loss to the Seattle Seahawks with a clean injury report. According to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, five Chiefs players sustained injuries in the game, including former first-round pick Felix Anudike-Uzomah and rookie defensive back Nohl Williams. Among the others mentioned by Reid were veterans Mike Edwards, Jack Cochrane, and Nazeeh Johnson, all of whom were members of the Kansas City's Super Bowl LVIII roster. While the exact nature of the players' injuries is unknown, Chiefs Senior Team Reporter Matt McMullen shared a brief update on their status in a post to Twitter after Friday's game: Injuries are to be expected in the preseason, but with just weeks remaining before Kansas City's Week 1 kickoff against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil, the Chiefs can't afford to be without any of their top players. Stay tuned for more information about Kansas City's injuries as more information becomes available postgame.

Sam Darnold impresses in preseason debut with Seattle Seahawks, win against Kansas City Chiefs
SEATTLE (AP) — Sam Darnold looked the part of a franchise quarterback in his first appearance at Lumen Field as the Seattle Seahawks beat the Kansas City Chiefs 33-16 in a preseason game on Friday night. Darnold, who did not appear in the Seattle Seahawks' preseason opener against the Las Vegas Raiders, completed 4 of 4 passes for 34 yards on the opening drive. Darnold, who signed to a three-year, $100.5 million contract with Seattle in the offseason, made good use of both his legs and his tight ends during his sole series. He had no issues rolling out to either his left or right, locating tight ends AJ Barner and Elijah Arroyo for short passes, as well as fullback Robbie Ouzts and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba for deeper completions. Backup quarterback Drew Lock impressed in relief of Darnold, throwing a couple of touchdown passes to wide receiver Jake Bobo, and completing 10 of 12 passes for 129 yards. Running backs Zach Charbonnet and Damien Martinez each added touchdowns on the ground in the first and third quarters, respectively. The Chiefs, meanwhile, did not play quarterback Patrick Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and other starters from the team that fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in last season's Super Bowl. Backup quarterback Gardner Minshew found tight end Robert Tonyan for a 1-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. The Seahawks' defense in large part held strong, limiting the Chiefs' reserves to three points in the second half. Kansas City wide receiver Skyy Moore, though, did return a punt for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Scampering Seahawks After rushing for the fifth-fewest yards as a team in 2024, the Seahawks have made it their prerogative to be more effective on the ground in 2025. They demonstrated on Friday, racking up 268 rushing yards on 48 carries. Five different players rushed for at least 30 yards. Tight end time Since Noah Fant is now a member of the Cincinnati Bengals, tight end remains a key position battle for the Seahawks. Arroyo and Barner combined for three catches and 24 yards on Friday, not letting any passing attempts escape them despite slippery conditions. Barner is the more veteran player, with 30 catches and 245 receiving yards under his belt from last season. But Arroyo, who was a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, has been more productive in the preseason. He has four catches for 33 yards through two exhibition games. ___
