EXCLUSIVE Meet the new 'POWER SQUAD': Why Ivanka, Gisele and Karlie are plotting to take on the Swifties... and they have a saucy connection that ties them together

Daily Mail23-04-2025

Hold on to your sun hats, there's a new girl gang 'power squad' in town.
Pictures obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail reveal a taut and tanned Ivanka Trump, 43, laughing and joking with two new BFFs: supermodels Gisele Bündchen and Karlie Kloss.
The three women have never been pictured all together before, but these new photos seem to reveal a close friendship, as they walked and played on the beach with their families in Costa Rica on Easter Sunday.
Kloss, 32, is married to Josh Kushner, brother of Jared Kushner, Ivanka's husband, was once thought to have a frosty relationship with her sister-in-law – driven in part by Kloss's deeply-held dislike for Donald Trump.
But in recent months, the sisterly pair has been seen happily socializing - and the thaw has apparently softened Kloss's long-time friend Bündchen, 44, who has also been outspoken about her politics.
Now sources tell the Daily Mail that much to the shock of those close to them, the three women have overcome their differences to forge a strong bond.
'The three of them have formed a girl squad and it surprised quite a few people,' a source close to Ivanka told the Daily Mail. 'Both Karlie and Gisele - who have been friends for years - have revealed that they are not Trump supporters.'
'Karlie has been very vocal about her political beliefs. Gisele revealed to her fans on social media that she does not support Trump,' they added.
In 2020, Kloss told Bravo host Andy Cohen, 'I voted as a Democrat in 2016 and I plan to do the same in 2020', meanwhile Bündchen once replied to a fan's comment on Instagram asking if she was supporting Trump in 2016 with a simple but firm 'NO!'
All that now seems long forgotten, as Ivanka, in a blue bikini and white floral wrap skirt, strolled and chatted with Bündchen, before they were joined by Kloss. Their young children played in the background.
Indeed, this new girl gang was a long time coming, given how much the three women have in common and how long they have known each other.
'Both Karlie and Gisele are with IMG Models and have the same manager,' source close to Kloss said. 'Gisele has long been a huge inspiration to Karlie, who idolizes her, having followed in her footsteps for years in expanding her brand beyond just the modelling industry.'
As for Ivanka and Bündchen, they lived nearby for years and now both attend the same Jiu Jitsu school in Miami, Valente Brothers Self-Defence, run by Joaquim Valente, 37, who is Gisele's boyfriend and the father of their one-year-old child, River.
'Gisele and Ivanka have known each other for years, back when Tom Brady used to play golf with Donald Trump. They're neighbours and both live in Miami's Indian Creek Island,' a source close to Kloss told the Daily Mail, referring to the ultra-exclusive Miami village known as 'Billionaire Bunker'.
'Gisele and Tom lived together in that neighbourhood for years. Then when they divorced, she bought a smaller place in the same area.
'Now of course Ivanka is a student at Valente Brothers self-defence in Miami,' they added.
Ivanka shared pictures of herself training at the self-defence center last month, showing her progress as she trained with Gui Valente, 44, who is one of Joaquim's brothers.
Sources tell the Daily Mail it's not only Ivanka who is enjoying having new friends and re-booting her social life.
Kloss is reportedly thrilled with the new gang, after her friendship with her former best friend Taylor Swift mysteriously soured in 2017.
'Karlie is keen to collaborate with Gisele and Ivanka on philanthropic endeavours - she would love the idea of them forming a new 'power squad' as she hugely looks up to Gisele,' they said.
'Karlie was once a big part of Taylor Swift's famous friendship group and has really missed that camaraderie,' they added.
A source close to Ivanka tells the Daily Mail that their friendships truly blossomed after Ivanka distanced herself from her father's campaign, and politics, in 2022.
'Ivanka's views have changed and after she revealed she hates politics. Since then, her and Karlie have gotten very close and Karlie and Gisele have been close for over a decade,' they added. 'They formed a trio and love spending time with each other.'
From 2016 to 2020 Ivanka was a senior adviser during her father's first term, giving up her life as a socialite and fashion designer, and moving her young family from New York City to Washington DC. But when Trump announced he was running again in 2022, Ivanka took a step back.
'I love my father very much,' she said in a statement at the time, 'I am choosing to prioritize my children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.'
She made her stance even clearer in a recent podcast interview, saying: 'I hate politics. It's very dark, negative. And some people love like the gladiator aspect of it: the fight. That was never me.'
Many speculated that Ivanka disliked how her prominent political persona had impacted her previously booming social life, as several of her celebrity friends - including Kloss - distanced themselves from her.
In a 2019 interview with Vogue, Kloss acknowledged there was a rift between them, saying it was 'hard' having Ivanka as sister-in-law.
'Karlie and Ivanka did not see eye to eye for some time when Ivanka was working for her father's administration,' a source close to Ivanka told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.
If these new photos are anything to go by, those concerns are in the distant past.

Inside Romeo Beckha new romance as she gets mum Victoria's approval

Romeo Beckham has sparked new romance speculation after being spotted with German model Caroline Daur just weeks after his split from former girlfriend, DJ Kim Turnbull All eyes were once again on the Beckhams this week as son Romeo Beckham was spotted with a potential new flame. Just weeks after the 22 year old called time on his relationship with Kim Turnbull he was seen enjoying some alone time with Caroline Daur, 30. The German has become famous in the fashion world with the model being a recognised blogger. And it appears she has already been given the nod of approval by Victoria Beckham, who has long admired her work. ‌ In 2018, the former Spice Girls' Facebook account asked Caroline for an image of her wearing one of her designs. And the German star has also been present at a number of Posh's fashion shows over the years. ‌ But who is Caroline Daur and how did she make her way in the industry? She previously revealed she is proud to be a "self-made" success. She once said: "I don't have an agent, manager or assistant. I do everything by myself." She rose in the industry in the early 2010s with a successful fashion blog and has since amassed 4.6million Instagram followers. She also has over one million people follower her TikTok account. She is now thought to have a net worth of around €4 million (£3.4million). She has branched out with her work and featured on TV too. She was involved as a guest judge on the German version of Next Top Model. Caroline also launched a series of work out videos which were available to follow online. The model is also set to appear on the small screen once more having landed a role on a German Netflix series. Last year, she filmed for the series titled She Said Yes. Caroline also previously opened up on dealing with ADHD, which she was diagnosed with later in life. "It didn't surprise me," she confessed after revealing the condition. "And it didn't surprise anyone around me either. The diagnosis came late, but it explained so much." ‌ She continued: "'My brain is like an internet browser with 47 tabs open. Sport is the only way I can calm it down. This morning I worked out at 7am, even after a short night. Without it, I just don't function." It remains to be seen how Romeo's family react to any potential budding romance between the pair. The second eldest son of David and Victoria found himself surrounded by rumours of a family feud after his older brother Brooklyn, 26, swerved the siblings' dad's 50th birthday. ‌ Brooklyn was said to have been 'uneasy' about Romeo dating his, ex Kim, who was once close friends with the hot sauce enthusiast. He reportedly felt his parents were 'favouring' his younger brother, who was seen beaming in snaps from David's birthday. Amid the fallout, Romeo and Kim ended their partnership and now appears to be getting cosy with the German model. The duo were spotted in Paris together, having reportedly bonded over their love of Tennis. Both were attending the Men's Singles Semi Final at the French Open on Friday.

Caitlin Clark's new Wilson basketballs reveal who she is as a person

The colors, the patterns, the detailing -- all are the result of months-long conversations between Clark and Wilson's design team about who she is, what she likes and what messages she wants to send to young fans. "It was a really fun process for me to go through," Clark told USA TODAY Sports. "It's things that are super important to me and all very different things, too, throughout my life. So hopefully they can make an impact on whoever's going to pick the ball up." Clark joined Michael Jordan as the only athletes to be brand ambassadors for Wilson, signing a multiyear sponsorship deal in May 2024 with the official manufacturer of basketballs for the WNBA, NBA and NCAA. In part because of the short turnaround time before the release of her first signature ball last October, Clark's first line leaned heavily into history. The records she broke at Iowa. Her historic rookie season with the WNBA's Indiana Fever. But Clark and Wilson knew they wanted future lines to be more personal, reflecting who Clark is as a person as much as a player. "She's actually influencing this. It's not just people at Wilson picking the design," Hudson Vantrease, director of product design at Wilson, said. "We never wanted to just put her name on a ball and call it a day," he added. "We want to tell the most compelling story, and having her as part of that is a positive to it." Wilson invited USA TODAY Sports to attend the design team meeting in April where Clark saw the finished basketballs for the first time. The design team also gave USA TODAY Sports a behind-the-scenes look at the collaboration process with Clark for the latest collection, which will be released June 23. There are four balls in the collection, and they differ in both purpose (one is an indoor-only ball, one is outdoor-only and two can be used either indoors or outdoors) and price point. One, the Embrace, is an Evo NXT basketball, meaning it has the same construction as a regulation W ball and could be used in official games. "Awesome. Awesome, awesome, awesome," Clark said when she walked into the Indiana Fever's practice gym and saw the four new basketballs. "You guys killed it." The team responsible for developing Clark's line has about a dozen core members. They met with Clark at last year's All-Star Game and got her initial thoughts about the collection, including what a young Caitlin Clark would have wanted. "I think she said a blue ball," said Haley Reines, the product line manager at Wilson. Afterward, Reines and product designer Julia Muscarello sent Clark a detailed questionnaire, asking her everything from her favorite color (blue) to her hobbies outside of basketball (golf, being on the water) to what she'd be if she wasn't a basketball player (chef). They also monitored social media, taking note of Clark's clothes -- there's an Instagram account devoted to her fits -- and what she does off the court. "I don't want to say borderline stalking, but yeah," Muscarello said with a laugh. "I was trying to stay on the Caitlin pulse." Those answers and details drove the design process, which involved "hundreds" of hours. Christopher Rickert, the senior director of global production at Wilson, said the team began with 50 design ideas and whittled them down. Sometimes the color wasn't right. Sometimes the pattern didn't work. Sometimes what seemed like a great idea on paper didn't quite translate into reality. When the team had 10 ideas, they sent the designs to Clark for her thoughts. There were further tweaks, and prototypes were made to make sure the designs looked the same on an actual basketball as they did in drawings. The four designs ultimately chosen for this year's line all have very different looks, but there's a commonality to all of them. Clark. "Whenever I do something, I want to make it the best product possible for people. But also I feel like this is an easy way for me to connect with my fans," Clark said of being so involved in the design process. "I want it to feel very personal for them, too. They can connect with me, not just by watching me on TV or coming and buying a ticket to a game." Take the Oasis ball, which can be used indoors and outdoors. Clark told Reines and Muscarello that her favorite color is blue, she likes pastels and her happy places are the water and golf course. So the panels of the Oasis ball are white and light blue, and the light blue panels have what looks like pink and green splashes of paint but is actually an abstract drawing of a golf course. Clark picked up on it right away when she saw the ball. "That looks like a hole on a golf course!" she exclaimed. Light blue is also the shade used for the pattern on the Envision, an outdoor ball. At first glance, it looks like a maze, but it's really the words "DREAM BIG." That phrase is also on the Aspire, an indoor/outdoor ball that at first appears to be white or grey. Put it in the sunlight, however, and the phrases "Dream Big," "Keep Going" and "You're Going to Be Amazing Because You Are Amazing" emerge in bold, Fever-red letters. That last phrase is what Clark says to Boston before every game. "See, she loves it!" Clark said, pointing to a picture of her and Boston on the bench that was on the design team's planning whiteboard. "We'll get her a free basketball. She'll love it. I'm going to put it in her locker." Because the Embrace is an official basketball, it cannot have any obvious detailing. Look closely, though, and you can see a pattern -- again, light blue -- within the Wilson logo and in what looks like a sunburst around the airhole. Both are the visual representation of the decibel level at a Fever game; the Wilson team took an audio file of the sound and made a graphic out of it. "Fans really admire how she just plays so well under pressure," Muscarello said. "Sometimes it's OK to embrace the noise." Though Clark had been involved in every step of the design process, seeing the basketballs on a computer screen is very different than holding the finished product. Clark picked up each of the basketballs and examined it, taking note of the different details. She spun each ball and shifted it from one hand to the other. She also studied the design team's white boards, pointing to some of the notes and photos. Though she initially seemed most taken by the Oasis ball, she was fascinated with the Envision's UV technology and said she'd have loved to have had a basketball that revealed "secret" messages when she was a kid. She also was impressed that Wilson's design team was able to turn a decibel meter reading into a design. "They're all unique in their own way. They all have different things I love about them," Clark said. "I think they each serve their own purpose and are different. "So I guess you have to buy 'em all!" she added, laughing. While there will be some fans who buy the whole collection, whether to use or keep as memorabilia, Clark was conscious of not pricing any fans out of the new line. Two of the balls are less than $50, with the outdoor Envision ball costing $27.95 and the Oasis indoor ball priced at $49.95, while the Aspire outdoor ball is $54.95. The Embrace, which is Wilson's premium Evo NXT basketball, costs $124.95. All the balls will be available on Wilson's website and at retail sporting goods stores. Last year's collection sold out almost immediately and, given the appetite for all things Clark, it's a good bet this one will, too. "It's kind of cool to see how the balls came back and they feel very `me,'" Clark told USA TODAY Sports. "That's what I love about it. I feel like I'm sharing part of my life and my journey with people. "I could have never dreamed (as a child) to have something like this," she added. "It's pretty special."
