Ted Lasso season 4 has started filming – here's how to catch up for free
The show, which follows the relentlessly upbeat American football coach turned Premier League manager Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis), became a global phenomenon, scooping up Emmys and turning Apple TV+ into a streaming juggernaut.
The final episode saw Ted return home to Kansas to be with his son, while Roy took over as manager of AFC Richmond and Keeley pitched the launch of a women's team. How to watch 'Ted Lasso' in the UK for free
Ted Lasso is exclusive to Apple TV+, so you'll need a subscription to stream it. New users can sign up for a seven-day free trial, which is more than enough time to binge the lot. After that, it's £8.99 a month.
What is 'Ted Lasso' season 4 about?
While Sudeikis said in March 2023 that the latest season of Ted Lasso would be its last in an interview with Deadline, and Brett Goldstein told The Sunday Times that Ted Lasso was written as a three-season arc, it seems nothing can stop Ted Lasso.
In March 2025, Apple TV+ confirmed that Ted Lasso had officially been renewed, with production on season four officially beginning in July. A short teaser showed Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Juno Temple reuniting.
Filming is starting in Kansas City, but will return to London for the rest of the season. 'Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team,' reads an official season four logline. 'Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.'

West Ham fans fume as club confirm signing of their former bogeyman who mocked their Conference League triumph
West Ham announced a new singing on Saturday and it hasn't gone down well with some sections of their fanbase. The club announced that striker Callum Wilson has agreed a one-year deal after his contract at Newcastle expired. Responding to the announcement of the signing, one fan wrote: 'delighted to welcome Wilson - a man who mocked our European trophy, said Michail Antonio would never play CL, and made a career out of scoring against us. Truly the West Ham way. Another said: You know Callum that most Hammers were against you signing, for a number of reasons, including the times when you have dissed the club over the years. Newcastle identify Champions League winner as Benjamin Sesko alternative
Newcastle are pursuing a deal for Benjamin Sesko, but have established a back-up plan if they cannot land the RB Leipzig striker. The future of Sesko has become one of the transfer sagas of the summer, with Arsenal interest in the forward now seeming like a dim and distant past. The Gunners snapped up Viktor Gyokeres instead and now it is a race between Newcastle and Manchester United for the Slovenian's signature. The Magpies have made a bid of a £69.8m for Sesko and seen it rejected by Leipzig as the German club sense a bidding war in the offing with the Red Devils. Manchester United are yet to make an official bid for the in-demand forward, and it seems that Sesko must make a decision on which Premier League club he wants to join and then a deal will be struck. If the 41-cap Slovenia international does fancy Old Trafford over St James' Park then the Magpies are considering other options and are eyeing up the Parc des Princes. The Daily Mail report that PSG striker Goncalo Ramos is on Newcastle's list of targets, should they fail in their attempts to sign Sesko. Still just 24 years old, the Portuguese forward joined PSG from Benfica in the summer of 2023 and has since scored 33 goals in 86 appearances across all competitions. The 16-cap Portugal international scored 19 goals in all competitions last season as PSG enjoyed a stunning treble-winning campaign. He featured regularly, but often as a substitute, starting just 12 Ligue 1 games last season and only one in the Champions League. The Mail's report states that PSG are open to letting Ramos leave this summer. An asking price has not been suggested, but it is very likely to be less than Leipzig's for Sesko. Aston Villa and England striker Ollie Watkins is also believed to be on Newcastle's radar as they look to improve on a frustrating summer so far in the transfer market. This all comes as the future of Alexander Isak remains in the balance, with Liverpool still interested in a big-money move for the Magpies superstar. The 25-year-old Swede has had his head turned by the Premier League champions' interest this summer. Isak did not travel to Asia for Newcastle's pre-season tour due to what the club called a 'minor thigh injury', only for his interest in a move to emerge along with the fact he has been training at former club Real Sociedad. The Reds have seen a bid of £110m turned down by Newcastle, but may return with an improved offer. The Magpies reportedly want £150m for their star striker and Liverpool are unlikely to meet that demand, but they will hope to convince Newcastle to do business with Isak wanting to leave. Eddie Howe's team drew with Tottenham in a friendly on Sunday and the manager was asked whether Isak will return to training in the coming week. Man dies after falling at Oasis concert in Wembley Stadium
A man has died after falling at London's Wembley Stadium during an Oasis concert on Saturday, police have said. Officers at the stadium responded to an incident at 10:19pm alongside medics at the venue and the London Ambulance Service after reports that someone had been injured. "A man - aged in his 40s - was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene,' the Metropolitan Police said in a statement. The Met have called on people who witnessed the incident, or who knowingly or unknowingly took mobile phone footage of it to come forward. The brothers were performing at Wembley Stadium as part of Oasis's ongoing reunion tour, which has seen hundreds of thousands in the UK witness Noel and Liam Gallagher's much-anticipated return. Police said in their statement: 'At around 22:19hrs on Saturday, 2 August, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert responded alongside venue medics and the London Ambulance Service to reports that a person had been injured. 'A man - aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. 'The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage. 'If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101, quoting 7985/02AUG.'
