New Delhi:
ACME Solar
Holdings Ltd has commissioned the first phase of its 50 MW
wind power project
at Shapar in Gujarat, adding 26.4 MW and taking the company's total operational
renewable energy capacity
to 2,731.4 MW, according to a company statement.
The ACME Pokhran wind project is being implemented in phases, and the 26.4 MW capacity commissioned is the initial stage. Prior to this, the company's operational capacity stood at 2,705 MW.
The project is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and constructed in-house by ACME's EPC division using Envision 3.3 MW turbines. The power generated is pooled at a 33/220 kV pooling station and stepped up for evacuation via a dedicated single circuit 220 kV transmission line to the Shapar sub-station.
The Shapar sub-station will also be used for evacuating power from ACME's upcoming 100 MW wind project currently under advanced stages of construction.
The power generated from the ACME Pokhran wind project will be sold under a 25-year
Power Purchase Agreement
signed with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL).
ACME Solar Holdings has a total renewable energy portfolio of 6,970 MW comprising solar, wind, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and hybrid projects. Of this, 2,731.4 MW is operational, while the remaining 4,238.6 MW is at various stages of implementation.

ACME Group wins bid to supply 75,000 tonnes of green ammonia under SIGHT scheme

TIL Creatives AI generated image for representation purposes. ACME Group on Friday said it has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for a green ammonia production project under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) scheme. Under the LoA, the company will supply 75,000 metric tonnes of green ammonia annually to Paradeep Phosphates Ltd, one of India's largest chemicals and fertilizer companies, at its facility in Paradeep, Odisha, for a period of 10 years, ACME said in a statement. The ACME Group participated in the reverse auction held on July 29, 2025, through its entity ACME Cleantech Solutions. According to the statement, the ACME Group has received the LoA for a significant green ammonia production project by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under the SIGHT Scheme Mode-2A, Tranche-I. The LoA confirms ACME Group's selection through a competitive cost-based bidding process. The agreed price for green ammonia supply at the delivery point is Rs 55.75 per kilogram. This landmark award is a significant step towards accelerating the adoption of clean energy and decarbonising the hard-to-abate sectors in India. Anil Kumar Taparia, Chief Operating Officer of ACME Group's Green Hydrogen & Ammonia, SBU, said in the statement, "We look forward to swiftly commissioning the facility and delivering clean ammonia to Paradeep Phosphates, thereby contributing to India's rapidly evolving green energy ecosystem." ACME Cleantech Solutions will begin delivering green ammonia to Paradeep Phosphates Limited in 36 months from the signing of the Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement (GAPA) with SECI. This project is a critical step forward in ACME's strategy to lead India's renewable energy transformation and marks a major milestone in the commercialisation of green hydrogen derivatives such as ammonia.
