New Study Tabs Steelers Fans Among Most Loyal in NFL
A new study has found that Pittsburgh Steelers fans are the fourth-most loyal fanbase in the NFL.
The team at CanadaSportsBetting analyzed the attendance of NFL teams during their worst season (since 2000) and the season before this. The data allowed the team to pinpoint which fanbases are the most loyal, even when their team is struggling.
The Steelers actually saw a 2.8% increase in attendance during their last losing season in 2003. The Steelers have sold out every home game since 1972, dating back to when the team played at Three Rivers Stadium.
'If you're a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, you most likely remember (or have heard about) the 2003 season. It all stemmed from an unbalanced offense, a struggling run game and a wavering defense,' Ben Mendelowitz of Canada Sports Betting wrote.
'With injuries to key running backs and a declining ground attack, the team relied heavily on quarterback Tommy Maddox, leading to turnovers and missed opportunities. Combined with a defense that couldn't close out games, the Steelers stumbled to a 6–10 record, their worst under head coach Bill Cowher.
'And yet, they too received higher average attendance during this season, jumping from 63,966 to 65,782, which is a 2.84% increase.'

The Minnesota Vikings ranked No. 1 in showing the best fan commitment in the league. The team attendance increased by 6.9% during their tough 2011 season.
In stark contrast, the Detroit Lions ranked as the least committed fanbase – they suffered an 11.1% drop in attendance throughout their winless 2008 campaign.

While the Steelers fanbase is among the most loyal, it's also one of the moodiest.
A new study by Action Network found that the Steelers fanbase was one of the most moodiest in the 2024-2025 season, based off posts on social media. Steelers Nation was tabbed as the fifth-most moodiest, behind the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.

Action Network analyzed 10.1 million negative posts on X and Reddit following all 285 games. Online posts were collected from both game day and the following day, regardless of the result.
Action Network then grouped posts by game outcome, calculating the average number of negative posts after wins and losses for each team.
'Rounding out the top five, Steelers fans have continued to voice their frustrations with the team's coaching staff and management throughout the 2024-25 season. Fans left 435,320 total negative comments after their games, of which 236,940 came after their 8 losses since the regular season began,' Alicia Grimes of Action Network wrote.
'On average, a Steelers loss led to 29,618 frustrated social media comments. Their Wild Card knockout at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens generated the most backlash, with 46,240 moody posts in the aftermath. The Steelers' first loss of the season against the Colts in Week 4 led to the fewest angry comments (19,420).'

Worst NFL Offensive Lines 2025: Ranking the 10 Worst Offensive Lines in the NFL
Who has the worst offensive line in the NFL? Pass protection is king in the National Football League, with teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers demonstrating just how impactful having one of the best NFL offensive lines can be. On the other side of that coin, being saddled with one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL can plague a team for the entire season. Let's dive into our list of the worst NFL offensive lines in 2025 heading into the season. 23. Pittsburgh Steelers We'll start with the positive regarding the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line. The interior of Isaac Seumalo, Zach Frazier and Mason McCormick is something Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers coaching staff can feel good about. Not only is there cohesion between the three returning starters, but Frazier and McCormick could take nice steps forward in 2025. At right tackle, Troy Fautanu is effectively entering his rookie season again, after playing just one game last year because of a dislocated kneecap. The red flag is left tackle Broderick Jones. Taken with the 14th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Jones has been a bust thus far. He allowed the third-most sacks (10) and had the sixth-lowest PFF Pass Blocking Efficiency (95.3) among starting tackles. He's a massive liability on the Steelers' offensive line and if Fautanu struggles, opponents will wreak havoc from both edges. Pittsburgh Steelers offensive line: LT: Broderick Jones, LG: Isaac Seumalo, C: Zach Frazier, RG: Mason McCormick, RT: Troy Fautanu Related: 24. New Orleans Saints The New Orleans Saints have one of the worst NFL rosters in 2025, and this young offensive line might be one of its strongest units. Kelvin Banks Jr. (9th overall pick in 2023), Trevor Penning (19th overall pick in 2022), Cesar Ruiz (24th overall pick in 2020), and Taliese Fuaga (14th overall pick in 2024) represent the huge investment the Saints front office has made in this starting five. The results are iffy. Penning failed at both tackle spots, with his move to guard being a last-ditch effort. Fuaga is an outstanding run blocker, but he allowed 39 pressures, 9 QB hits, and 6 sacks in his rookie season. As for Banks, some around the NFL believe he is best suited to play guard, but New Orleans is gambling that he can stick at left tackle. There's upside with the Saints' offensive line, but it's also easy to see how poorly things could go, and pass protection will be an issue. New Orleans Saints offensive line: LT: Kelvin Banks Jr, LG: Trevor Penning Jr, C Erik McCoy, RG: Cesar Ruiz, RT: Taliese Fuaga 25. New York Giants If Russell Wilson is the starting quarterback for a majority of the season, there's a strong chance the New York Giants offensive line allows the most sacks in the NFL. That says something about both this unit and the veteran quarterback. Andrew Thomas is still great when healthy, but he's played 16 total games in the last two seasons. There is also continuity alongside him, but Jon Runyan and Greg van Roten were below-average starters in 2024. If Thomas is healthy, this could be a top-20 unit when everything goes right. That's just not a given and Wilson will make this unit's life even more difficult with his penchant to hold onto the football. New York Giants offensive line: LT: Andrew Thomas, LG: Jon Runyan, C: John Michael Schmitz Jr, RG: Greg van Roten, RT: Jermaine Eluemunor Related: New York Giants Schedule Predictions, Game by Game Giants Predictions 2025 26. Miami Dolphins The Miami Dolphins have had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL for years, and Terron Armstead just retired. However, the coaching staff is high on Patrick Paul, the 2024 second-round pick, who is expected to be more durable than Armstead was. Miami did improve the interior this offseason with the additions of James Daniels and Aaron Brewer, but Daniels is returning from a torn Achilles suffered in Week 4 last season. Realistically, this starting five should be marginally better than it was last season. What likely terrifies the fan base and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is what happens if injuries strike, because there's zero depth here. Miami Dolphins offensive line: LT: Patrick Paul, LG: Jonah Savaiinaea, C: Aaron Brewer, RG: James Daniels, RT: Austin Jackson Related: 27. Jacksonville Jaguars The Jacksonville Jaguars are providing quarterback Trevor Lawrence with more help in 2025, adding receiver Travis Hunter Jr. and play-caller Liam Coen. Unfortunately for the former first overall pick, the Jaguars' offensive line remains a real concern. There is potential upside with Anton Harrison and Walker Little, but both tackles have had their fair share of issues in pass protection. Jacksonville did boost its interior, bringing in Patrick Mekari and Robert Hainsey while drafting Wyatt Milum, so you could convince yourself that the group improves. Even in a best-case scenario, though, this still is not a top-15 offensive line. Jacksonville Jaguars depth chart: LT: Walker Little, LG: Ezra Cleveland, C: Robert Hainsey, RG: Patrick Mekari, RT: Anton Harrison 28. New England Patriots The New England Patriots had the worst offensive line in the NFL last season, so there's nowhere to go but up from there. First-round pick Will Campbell faces lingering questions because of his arm length, but he checks just about every other box to be a cornerstone left tackle. New England also added stability at right tackle in signing Morgan Moses. No one will mistake this for being a good offensive line, but the days of ranking dead last in ESPN's pass-block win rate and run-block win rate are over. Drake Maye is thankful for it. New England Patriots offensive line: LT: Will Campbell, LG: Cole Strange, C: Garrett Bradbury, RG: Mike Onwenu, RT: Morgan Moses Related: 29. Cleveland Browns We're now years removed from the days when the Cleveland Browns had a good offensive line. The Browns allowed the fourth-most pressures (219) and ranked 24th in PFF's Pass Blocking Efficiency (83.6) last season. Wyatt Teller, Joel Bitonio and Jack Conklin are all in their 30s and durability is proving to be a real issue. At left tackle, Dawand Jones took a step backward after a promising rookie season. If you could promise Cleveland's starting five would stay healthy, it would probably rank higher on our list. However, that's far from a given and being forced to start backup linemen is a disaster for just about any team and even more so here because of the Browns' quarterback situation. Cleveland Browns offensive line: LT: Dawand Jones, LG: Joel Bitonio, C: Ethan Pocic, RG: Wyatt Teller, RT: Jack Conklin 30. Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow is doing a lot better job at not taking sacks, so this is now largely about the Cincinnati Bengals offensive line. Cincinnati allowed the third-most pressures (220) and the fourth-most QB hits (31) in the NFL last season, all while recording the lowest ESPN Pass-Block Win rate (32 percent). While there's some continuity on the offensive line in 2025, right tackle Amarius Mims is still a project and guard Dylan Fairchild will experience plenty of struggles during his rookie season. That leaves the Bengals with two below-average starters (Ted Karras and Lucas Patrick) along with a left tackle (Orlando Brown Jr) who is just adequate. Cincinnati Bengals offensive line: LT: Orlando Brown Jr, LG: Dylan Fairchild, C: Ted Karras, RG: Lucas Patrick, RT: Amarius Mims Related: 31. Seattle Seahawks The Seattle Seahawks allowed the most pressures (232) and the most hurries (165) in the NFL last season despite fewer than 700 dropbacks, according to PFF. Injuries played a part in that, with right tackle Abraham Lucas playing in just seven games, but he's not a safe bet to stay healthy this year. There is hope on the left side, with first-round pick Grey Zabel slotting in at guard alongside standout protector Charles Cross. We think the left side of the Seahawks' offensive line will be stronger than it has been in years. Unfortunately, this still remains one of the worst NFL offensive lines right now because Lucas can't stay healthy, and the center and right guard spots are major weaknesses. Seattle Seahawks offensive line: LT: Charles Cross, LG: Grey Zabel, C: Olu Oluwatimi, RG: Anthony Bradford, RT: Abraham Lucas 32. Houston Texans The Houston Texans have the worst offensive line in the NFL. Given the issues in 2024, it's understandable why they traded Laremy Tunsil (chemistry issues) and Kenyon Green (first-round bust), but the front office inexplicably views Cam Robinson and Laken Tomlinson as viable replacements. Robinson was even worse than Tunsil in pass protection last year, and Tomlinson has been one of the worst guards in the NFL for a few years now. Houston has more offensive line depth than before (Trent Brown, Jake Andrews, Ed Ingram, Juice Scruggs, and Blake Fisher), but that doesn't really matter when you have the least-talented line in football. Houston Texans offensive line: LT: Cam Robinson, LG: Laken Tomlinson, C: Jarrett Patterson, RG: Tytus Howard, RT: Aireontae Ersery Related Headlines Cleveland Guardians Game Today: 2025 TV Schedule, Game Info, And Roster Raiders Daily: Ashton Jeanty Built for the NFL, Major Clarity at Key Position Battle Seattle Mariners Player Launches Bat at Opposing Pitcher in Wild Triple-A Scene

Worst NFL Contracts 2025: Identifying the Worst Contracts in the NFL Right Now
What is the worst NFL contract? Two of the worst moves in NFL history will be the Cleveland Browns' decision to trade for Deshaun Watson and then sign him to a fully-guaranteed contract extension. While all the other moves in recent years pale in comparison to that disaster class, there are still plenty of bad contracts in the NFL right now. Let's dive into our list of the worst NFL contracts right now. 1. Deshaun Watson, QB, Cleveland Browns The Deshaun Watson contract is the worst in NFL history, of course. He won't play in 2025, recovering from a torn Achilles that he somehow re-ruptured in January. So, three years after signing him to a five-year contract worth $230 million, all of it guaranteed at signing, here's what the Browns got for their money: a 9-10 record with an 80.7 QB rating and a 61.2 percent completion rate in 19 games. Put another way, that's $12.105 million per game. Watson will never play for the Browns again, and reporting has already indicated that Watson's NFL career is effectively over. Deshaun Watson contract (): $35.971 million cap hit (2025), $80.716 million cap hit (2026), $25.723 million dead cap (2027), $16.739 million dead cap (2028) 2. Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott is an MVP-caliber negotiator. The fact that he currently has one of the worst NFL contracts is an indictment of the Dallas Cowboys' front office. Prescott's willingness to get uncomfortable in contract negotiations has allowed him to take complete advantage of Jerry Jones and Co. What's so remarkable, beyond the no-trade clause and no tag clause in the contract, is the fact that Prescott's $60 million average annual salary isn't close to being touched right now. Josh Allen ($55 million AAV) didn't even come near it with his newest extension. Prescott is arguably a top-10 quarterback, but Dallas paid him like he's Patrick Mahomes. Dak Prescott contract (): $50.518 million cap hit (2025), $74.068 million cap hit (2026), $68.385 million cap hit (2027), $78.385 million cap hit (2028) Related: 3. Kirk Cousins, QB, Atlanta Falcons One year later, the Atlanta Falcons have essentially been given a bit of a pass for using a top-10 pick on Michael Penix Jr. and shocking the NFL world. However, Penix becoming the starter so quickly only makes the Kirk Cousins contract look worse. It became evident almost immediately in 2024 that Cousins wasn't the same coming off a ruptured Achilles and that was in the first season of his four-year, $180 million contract with $100 million guaranteed. The 37-year-old is simply not a starting-caliber player anymore. A lone positive for Atlanta regarding this deal is that it can designate Cousins as a post-June 1 release in 2026, freeing up $25 million in cap savings. Of course, that'll leave a $32.5 million cap hit that year with $12.5 million in 2027. Kirk Cousins contract (): $40 million cap hit (2025), $57.5 million cap hit (2026), $57.5 million cap hit (2027) Related: 4. Brandon Aiyuk, WR, San Francisco 49ers The Brandon Aiyuk contract making it on this list is tied to the uncertainty surrounding his return from injury. On August 30, 2024, the San Francisco 49ers signed Aiyuk to a four-year deal worth $120 million, a $30 million average annual value with $76 million guaranteed. On September 20, 2024, Aiyuk tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee. It is not realistic to expect him to return to All-Pro form in his first season back. If he never reaches that caliber of player again, which is a possibility, the earliest San Francisco could get out of the deal is 2027. However, that would come with a $21.247 million dead-cap charge if released before June 1, or that charge would be spread over 2027 ($8.338 million) and 2028 ($12.909 million) if he is a post-June 1 release. Brandon Aiyuk contract (): $9.917 million cap hit (2025), $15.39 million cap hit (2026), $41.449 million cap hit (2027), $43.325 million cap hit (2028), $14.545 million dead money (2029) 5. L'Jarius Sneed, CB, Tennessee Titans The L'Jarius Sneed contract backfired immediately for the Tennessee Titans. After acquiring him from the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a third-round pick (66th overall, Ashton Gillotte), Tennessee signed him to a four-year contract worth $76.4 million. This made Sneed one of the league's highest-paid cornerbacks at a $19.1 million average annual value. In his first season with the Titans, Sneed allowed a 91.8 quarterback rating when targeted and a career-worst 7.4 yards per target. In his fifth game of the season, he suffered a season-ending quadriceps injury. He was also sued in April over a shooting at a car dealer's lot. Maybe he turns things around in 2025, but it is very doubtful. If he doesn't, Tennessee can cut him in the 2026 offseason and save $11.942 million. L'Jarius Sneed contract (): $22.577 million cap hit (2025), $20.057 million cap hit (2026), $20.457 million cap hit (2027) 6. Bradley Chubb, EDGE, Miami Dolphins Similar to Brandon Aiyuk, Bradley Chubb's deal is listed among the worst NFL contracts right now due to injury. He recorded 11 sacks and led the NFL in forced fumbles during the 2023 season, earning his three-year deal worth $54.49 million. Unfortunately, he tore the ACL, patellar tendon, and meniscus in his right knee in Week 17 of that year and missed the entire 2024 season. Chubb is back on the field this year, but it is uncertain how he will perform after that knee injury. Miami also cannot realistically get out of the contract until 2027. Bradley Chubb contract (): $12.327 million cap hit (2025), $31.202 million cap hit (2026), $31.535 million cap hit (2027) 7. Dan Moore Jr, OT, Tennessee Titans Dan Moore is a quality offensive tackle who should have a long career ahead of him as a starter. What the 27-year-old left tackle is not, however, is someone who should be paid like one of the best blindside protectors in football. Tennessee's desperation and a thin pool of quality tackles in NFL free agency forced this outcome. Moore is being paid like a top-10 left tackle, but he simply isn't that caliber of player. He'll be a solid starter, but his rising cap hits in the years to come are a bit of an issue. Dan Moore contract (): $10.875 million cap hit (2025), $26.7375 million cap hit (2026), $22.125 million cap hit (2027), $22.625 million cap hit (2028) 8. Aaron Banks, OG, Green Bay Packers Two of the worst NFL contracts in 2025 were signed this offseason. However, it's worth noting that the deal for these two offensive linemen isn't in the same weight class as some of the other albatross contracts on this list. The Green Bay Packers are making a big bet on guard Aaron Banks both staying healthy and turning the flashes of being a great starter on a few occasions with the 49ers into sustained excellence. Green Bay's track record with offensive linemen suggests it's at least possible, but they are putting Banks ($19.25 million AAV) in the same company as All-Pro guards Quenton Nelson ($20 million AAV) and Joe Thuney ($17.5 million AAV). Aaron Banks contract (): $9.032 million cap hit (2025), $24.85 million cap hit (2026), $22.25 million cap hit (2027), $20.75 million cap hit (2028) Related: 9. Jalen Ramsey, CB, Pittsburgh Steelers If Jalen Ramsey could still play like an All-Pro cornerback or if the Pittsburgh Steelers moved him to safety, this contract would be perfectly fine. Otherwise, this is not a great contract. While the cap hit this season is low, Pittsburgh will be paying Ramsey into his mid-30s, and his production over the last year-plus suggests that this is a poor long-term investment. At the earliest, the Steelers could likely get out of the deal in 2027. Jalen Ramsey contract (): $4.904 million cap hit (2025), $17.229 million cap hit (2026), $19.149 million cap hit (2027), $31.049 million cap hit (2028) Related: 10. Chase Young, EDGE, New Orleans Saints If a team other than the New Orleans Saints signed Chase Young to this contract, it probably would not make the list. However, New Orleans is a team that is at least two years away from playoff contention, and it could be three. While Young is only 26 years old, the Saints gave $33 million guaranteed to a player who multiple teams had concerns about regarding his motor and effort. New Orleans is likely to be a bottom-five NFL team through 2026, and now that Young secured a big payday, it would not be a major surprise if consistent effort became an issue again. Chase Young contract (): $6.842 million cap hit (2025), $20.502 million cap hit (2026), $23.672 million cap hit (2027), $9.072 million dead cap (2028) Related Headlines Cleveland Guardians Game Today: 2025 TV Schedule, Game Info, And Roster Raiders Daily: Ashton Jeanty Built for the NFL, Major Clarity at Key Position Battle Seattle Mariners Player Launches Bat at Opposing Pitcher in Wild Triple-A Scene

Cleveland Browns Interested in Surprising Trade for All-Pro
Now that the suspense is over regarding the Cleveland Browns' starting quarterback situation, it's time to hone in on other areas of the roster. With Joe Flacco being announced as Kevin Stefanski's starting quarterback for Week 1, it signals that the Browns are aiming for as many wins as possible, which should come as no surprise for a head coach on the hot seat. After a three-win season, the pressure is on to win in Cleveland. Could that pressure even lead to a heavy investment into the roster, like say, trading for a first-team All-Pro? According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Browns are shockingly one of the few teams interested in trading for Trey Hendrickson. It's shocking because the Browns are division rivals with the Bengals, and trades between inner-division foes are quite rare, especially involving star players. Though, of course, the Browns are not the only team expressing an interest in landing the first-team All-Pro who led the NFL with 17.5 sacks in 2024. Other teams are chasing Hendrickson too. 'The Panthers, Browns and Colts are among the teams that have shown interest in trading for Bengals All-Pro Trey Hendrickson, per multiple sources. An in-division and in-state trade is highly unlikely and any deal will be tough regardless. Cincinnati is believed to want an impact player (or two) plus a draft pick in return.' Jordan Schultz on Trey Hendrickson As Schultz notes, the Bengals are seeking an instant contributor plus a high draft pick (others have suggested they want a first-round pick). If it's a first-round pick the Bengals want, then the Browns may want to think long and hard about making a deal, as they're one of the teams projected to finish with a top-ten draft pick. While the idea of pairing Myles Garrett with another elite All-Pro pass rusher is exciting, the Browns would also likely have to make Hendrickson one of the NFL's highest-paid defenders, as he's already seeking a new deal while facing an expiring contract this year. Ultimately, parting with one or two players, a top draft pick, and shelling out a contract worth over $30 million per season may be too rich for Cleveland's blood, especially considering Cincinnati will likely try screwing over their division rivals with a deal that heavily favors the Bengals.
