No other team in recent history has caused more issues for the Bucs than the Falcons have, despite their recent run of NFC South dominance.
Just last year, the Bucs won the division for a fourth straight time, but they needed some help from other teams in the league after getting swept by Atlanta during the regular season. One of the big reasons they had so much success against the Bucs was in part to their rushing attack and the time they gave their quarterbacks to pick apart the Bucs secondary.
One of the key players of the Falcons offensive line is guard Chris Lindstrom. He is someone that PFF identified in a recent article as being the biggest achilles heel for the Bucs in recent history.
They write, "Lindstrom has played terrifically against Tampa Bay throughout his career. He has recorded at least an 80.0 PFF overall grade in seven of their 10 most recent meetings. As is customary, Lindstrom has dominated the Buccaneers on the ground with a 91.4 PFF run-blocking grade. Still just 28 years old, he isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so Tampa Bay will have to figure out a way to beat him."
Lindstrom is among the best guards in the NFL. It is unfortunate the Bucs have to play him twice a year, but it is a must-see TV event when they do.
Lindtsrom going head-to-head with the likes of Vita Vea and Calijah Kancey is the equivalent of a heavyweight title fight on Sunday. They will play two more times this year, of course, so they have more chances to prove they can learn how to beat him.

"Unsurprisingly, Gardner's PFF advanced coverage grade ranks first, as well. While he might not shadow opposing wide receivers at a high rate, he has excelled when asked to do so." He had a bit of a slower season in 2024, but so did the rest of the Jets. With that being said, he has racked up some impressive stats in just three seasons in the league. He also led the NFL in passes defended in his rookie year with 20, which goes to show just how good the 24-year-old corner already is. He will be looking to bounce back from his slightly disappointing 2024 and prove that he is still worthy of the title of the best cornerback in the NFL. Garrett Williams is only Arizona Cardinals CB in top 32 per PFF Williams ranks 22 in PFF's top 32 CBs entering 2025. The Arizona Cardinals have a young group of cornerbacks. Of the four top players on their roster, Star Thomas and Garrett Williams enter their third NFL seasons, Max Melton enters his second and Will Johnson, selected in the second round in April, is a rookie. As such, they haven't proven much in the league, except for one. PFF ranked the top 32 cornerbacks in the NFL and Williams makes the cut, coming in at No. 22. After struggling in his rookie season and missing more than half the year, resulting in a 57.2 PFF coverage grade, Williams was excellent in 2024 with an 83.7 PFF coverage grade (fourth best) and the seventh-best PFF advanced coverage grade. If he's able to replicate his sophomore campaign in which he allowed 0.68 yards and the second-fewest yards in coverage, Williams could jump into the top 10. If Williams continues to play at the level he did last season, if Melton takes a second-year leap and if Johnson is as good as many believe he can be, the Cardinals' secondary will be very, very good in 2025. Despite Sean Payton's promise to get Audric Estime more touches in 2025 and the excitement around rookie RJ Harvey, the running back position is one of the weaknesses of the Denver Broncos. Advertisement This suggested trade would add a proven lead back to the mix, give Harvey time to develop, and add overall depth and talent to the position. Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport suggested the Broncos could trade for Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier. Allgeier is entering his fourth year in the league, and after a stellar rookie season, his numbers have diminished. However, it's not because of a lack of talent on his end, it's because of the emergence of eighth-overall pick Bijan Robinson. As Davenport stated in his explanation, Robinson became a true workhorse for the Falcons last season. He garnered 365 touches, which was second in the league behind Saquon Barkley. Advertisement Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski added that the Falcons should explore trading the fourth-year running back because he has no incentive to sign an extension with Robinson as the workhorse in the backfield. Sobleski believes Allgeier has the workhorse ability, and the Falcons could get a Day Two pick for the back. In his rookie season, Allgeier had 210 carries for 1,035 yards. If you look back at college, Allgeier ran for 2,736 yards and 36 touchdowns in his final two years at BYU. That describes a workhorse pretty clearly. Advertisement This would make sense for the Broncos in the short term, but they'd likely look for Estime or Harvey to pay off in the long term. Estime had a slow rookie season, but Payton believes with adequate volume, he can make strides in 2025. As for Harvey, there's plenty of hype around the second-round draft pick. The addition of Allgeier would give the Broncos a proven workhorse, but could it slow the progression of their last two draft picks at the position? Allgeier does have the potential to be a starter in the NFL, and the Broncos, while full of potential, are one of the weaker proven backfields in the league.
