Prince Harry's bitter feud with King Charles shows no signs of being healed with their relationship still thought to be at an all-time low. And when it comes to Harry's fallout with his royal relatives, it seems that his wife Meghan views the row differently than her husband.
While Harry gave a recent bombshell interview, confirming he is no longer speaking to his father, Meghan has remained quiet on the family fallout. Instead, she has appeared to be focused on building her As Ever lifestyle business and lining up new products as well as working on her Netflix show and podcast.
And according to a source close to the couple, despite Meghan firmly standing by Harry's side, she reportedly wishes he would feel "less burdened" by the past and instead "more present in the life they've built together". The source told PEOPLE that Meghan is focused on the future and is "very business about it" while Harry reportedly has "one foot in the past".
It comes after Palace insiders revealed one of the key factor s that could be stopping the King from making the first move in reconciling with his estranged son.
The feud between father and son is believed to have gone from bad to worse in recent weeks after Harry gave an explosive interview to the BBC after losing another court battle over his security arrangements in the UK.
In that interview, he confirmed that things had got so bad between him and his father, that the King, who is still having cancer treatment, will not speak to him and he does not know "how much longer my father has" left.
It comes after Harry railed against his family in his memoir Spare, where he criticised his father, branded his stepmother Queen Camilla dangerous and claimed older brother Prince William physically attacked him.
Some have suggested that if father and son are to get their relationship back on track, it should be the King to reach out and make the first move. However, a palace insider told PEOPLE magazine one of the reasons why this has not been the case so far - and they claimed it is because those around the King have not "encouraged reconciliation".
According to the publication, William has shown "no interest" in repairing the rift, Camilla "stays out of it" while even the King's most personal aide, private secretary Sir Clive Alderton, is "unlikely to push for a personal outreach".
Respected royal correspondent and author Valentine Low told the publication of Charles: "There is not a good angel in his ear to say, 'Be a good dad and make the first move'."
Talking about Harry's bombshell BBC interview, he added: "It wasn't meant to be an attack, but it would be seen as one. It makes Charles reach out even harder."
In his shock interview after losing his security case at the Court of Appeal, Harry admitted: "Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things."

Glastonbury organiser reveals drastic measure taken after crowd-crush fears
As soon as the Glastonbury headliners were announced, attention turned to the possibility of a crowd crush, but organisers are one step ahead. The festival was branded a 'ticking time-bomb' by a former executive as fans speculated Charli XCX's Other Stage set could get to unprecedented crowd levels. In a bid to ease the strain of fans rushing to see their favourite acts, organiser Emily Eavis has revealed they have drastically cut the number of tickets. While on BBC's Sidetracked podcast, Emily said she wanted to 'make an impact on some of the busier times'. Emily's comments come after a source said to the Mail on Sunday: 'How has it [Glastonbury] survived this long without a major disaster? 'It's got to be a mixture of luck and a mixture of good will, the jewel in the UK's crown is actually something of a ticking time bomb.' This year will see different routes and pathways encouraged to be used, all in a bid to ease congestion. The Glastonbury app has played a huge part in the organisers' ability to anticipate fan movements, as many planned which artists they would see through the schedule function. 'The app was really accurate last year. People plan what they're going to see,' Emily said. 'We can see what they're going to see, which is really useful for us from a crowd perspective.' Festival-goers have a tendency to follow the crowds, especially since the pandemic, so this year she is emphasising that there are plenty of alternative routes. There are 'like 10 routes to anywhere', so there's no need to 'move in a herd', explore your own way towards the sets you wish to see. EastEnders star to quit BBC soap after four years 'to look for other opportunities'
Bobby Brazier who plays Freddie Slater in EastEnders is set to leave the iconic BBC soap in by the end of the year. Bobby Brazier is set to leave Albert Square as his time on EastEnders is over after a four-year stint. The actor and model, known for his role as Freddie Slater, has gained a lot of attraction and offers following his time on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023 where he finished runner-up. The 22-year-old's exit from Walford is scheduled for later this year, the Mirror reports. As an EastEnders spokesperson confirmed: "We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.' A source close to the show, told The Sun: "Bosses recently met with Bobby to discuss a potential storyline, but Bobby felt this was the right moment to explore new ventures beyond the series. "The timing aligned perfectly for both parties. Although his final scenes are some time away, the character has enjoyed a strong run, and now is the time for Bobby to pursue fresh opportunities while EastEnders bids farewell to Freddie Slater." Bobby's departure from EastEnders comes amid a wave of bold casting moves by new executive producer Ben Wadey, who's reviving the drama by bringing back fan favourites including Michelle Ryan (Zoe Slater), Jake Wood (Max Branning), and Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell). At the same time, Lacey Turner is taking a break from her iconic role as Stacey Slater.
